A’ishah said When the Prophet ﷺ entered Makkah he entered from the side of the upper end and he came out from the side of the lower end.  

أبو داود:١٨٦٩حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ دَخَلَ مِنْ أَعْلاَهَا وَخَرَجَ مِنْ أَسْفَلِهَا

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that when Messenger of Allah may peace be upon him) came to Mecca he entered from its upper side and came out from its lower side.  

مسلم:١٢٥٨aحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ جَمِيعًا عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَمَّا جَاءَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ دَخَلَهَا مِنْ أَعْلاَهَا وَخَرَجَ مِنْ أَسْفَلِهَا  

ahmad:4625Abū Muʿāwiyah > ʿUbaydullāh > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to enter Makkah from the upper mountain pass and when he left, he would leave from the lower mountain pass. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2940)   

أحمد:٤٦٢٥حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ دَخَلَ مِنَ الثَّنِيَّةِ الْعُلْيَا وَإِذَا خَرَجَ خَرَجَ مِنَ الثَّنِيَّةِ السُّفْلَى
