[Machine] I was sitting beside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, his knee against mine, when a Bedouin came to him and snatched his ear. The face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ changed and blood rushed to his cheeks. Then he said, "This is the messenger of 'Amir Ibn Al-Tufayl threatening me, and he threatens those around me. Allah has protected me from him by granting me sons from the offspring of Isma'il through my two sons from Qaylah." Hisham said, "He means the Ansar."  

الطبراني:٣٢٩٩ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْبَكْرِيُّ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي مُوسَى بْنُ طَلْحَةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ قَالَ

كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ تَمَسُّ رُكْبَتِي رُكْبَتَهُ فَأَتَاهُ آتٍ فَالْتَقَمَ أُذُنَهُ فَتَغَيَّرَ وَجْهُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَثَارَ الدَّمُ إِلَى أَسَارِيرِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «هَذَا رَسُولُ عَامِرِ بْنِ الطُّفَيْلِ يَتَهَدَّدُنِي وَيَتَهَدَّدُ مَنْ بِإِزَائِي فَكَفَانِيهِ اللهُ بِالْبَنِينَ مِنْ وَلَدِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بِابْنَيْ قِيلَةَ» قَالَ هِشَامٌ «يَعْنِي بِالْأَنْصَارِ»

Then a man came to him, and he swallowed his ear, so the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ changed and blood started to flow to his cheeks. Then he said, "This is Rassul Amr ibn al-Tufayl, threatening me and threatening those who seek refuge with me, while Allah Almighty has sufficed me with the children of Ismail and the bani Qaylah," referring to the Ansar.
