[Machine] I went to the Prophet ﷺ seeking his assistance in paying a woman's dowry, and he asked me, "How much did you promise her?" I replied, "I promised her two hundred dirhams." He said, "Even if you were to scoop from a sea of wealth, you would not increase."

الطبراني:١٩١٧٦ – حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي حَدْرَدٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ قَالَ

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَسْتَعِينُهُ فِي مَهْرِ امْرَأَةٍ فَقَالَ «كَمْ أَصْدَقْتَهَا؟» قَالَ قُلْتُ مِائَتَيْ دِرْهَمٍ قَالَ «لَوْ كُنْتُمْ تَغْرِفُونَ مِنْ بَطَحَانَ مَا زِدْتُمْ»
