[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi reported that Kathir bin Abdullah al-Muzani narrated from his father, from his grandfather, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are three things from the pre-Islamic era that people should not abandon: insulting people's lineage, mourning excessively, and claiming that rain is caused by a certain star."
ثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُزَنِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثَلَاثَةٌ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ لَا يَتْرُكُهُنَّ النَّاسُ الطَّعْنُ فِي الْأَنْسَابِ وَالنِّيَاحَةُ وَقَوْلُهُمْ مُطِرْنَا بِنَجْمِ كَذَا وَكَذَا
