[Machine] I was with Al-Hakam ibn 'Amr al-Ghifari when the messenger of Ali ibn Abi Talib came to him and said, "Ali says that you are more deserving than anyone else to assist us in this matter." Al-Hakam replied, "I heard my cousin, the Messenger of Allah, say, 'When the matter is like this or similar, I will take a sword made of wood.'" So I took a sword made of wood.
[Machine] "Do you know why I have come to you? Do you not remember that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was told by his commander to stand and fall into the fire, the man stood up to fall into it but was prevented and held back? The Prophet ﷺ then said, 'If he had fallen into it, he would have entered the fire as there is no obedience in the disobedience of Allah.' The man said, 'Yes.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'I only wanted to remind you of this hadith."
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah.' He used to wish to meet the other person in order to talk about it, and indeed he met him and said, 'Did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he said, "There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah"? The other person said, 'Yes,' and he said, 'Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar,' or something similar."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The prayer is annulled by a dog, a donkey, and a woman."
[Machine] The Guevarian judge, O Plague, take me to you," said a man from the people. "Why do you say this?" And I have heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , say, "Do not wish for death." He said, "I have heard what you have heard, but I rather be six things: the seller of judgment, the enforcer of conditions, the ruler of young boys, the shedder of blood, the one who severs family ties, and a generation that will use the Quran as psalms in the end of time."
[Machine] Nu'man is a Ghifari, and I am a young boy from here and there. He said, "O my son, do not eat like this, like this is how the Shaytan eats. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , when he placed his hand in the dish or container, his fingers did not go beyond the place of his palm."

I sat with a man who had been in the company of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He was called al-Hakam ibn Hazn al-Kulafi. He began to narrate a tradition to us saying: I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a delegation consisting of seven or nine persons. We entered upon him and said: Messenger of Allah, we have visited you, so pray Allah what is good for us. He ordered to give us some dates. The Muslims in those days were weak. We stayed there for several days and offered the Friday prayer along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He stood leaning on a staff or a bow. He praised Allah and exalted Him in light, pure and blessed words. Then he said: O people, you have no power to obey or you cannot obey what you are ordered. But be straight and give good tidings. Abu 'Ali said: Did you hear Abu Dawud ? He said: Some of my companions reminded me of some words that were omitted from writing on the paper. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1096)
[Machine] The daughter of Al-Hakam, I said to my grandfather Al-Hakam, "I have never seen a people who were more weak and worse in following the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than you, O Banu Umayyah." He replied, "Do not blame us, my daughter. I only inform you of what I have seen with my own eyes." We said, "By Allah, we still hear the Quraysh speaking ill of this man in our mosque. They conspired against him until we apprehended him, and we conspired against him as well. When we saw him, we heard a voice and thought that there was no hill in Taif that did not crumble upon us. We did not think clearly until he finished his prayer and returned to his family. Then we conspired again on another night, and when he came, we approached him and I saw Safa and Marwa meeting one another, with one of them between us and him. By Allah, that did not benefit us."

I am in a state of Ihram (ritual consecration), so I am allowed to take something from you or say something [to be excused]." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him permission to say whatever he wanted. Al-Hajjaj went to his wife when he arrived and said, "Gather everything you have, for I want to buy from the spoils of Muhammad and his companions, as they have been made permissible to them and their wealth has been taken away from them. This news spread in Makkah, causing distress among the Muslims and delight among the polytheists. The news reached Al-Abbas ibn 'Abdul Muttalib, who became distraught and unable to stand. He sent a young boy to Al-Hajjaj ibn 'Alaat, saying, 'What have you brought and what do you say?' The boy replied, 'There is nothing better than what Allah has promised you.' Al-Hajjaj said, 'Read my greetings to Al-Fadl and tell him to provide me with some of his houses so that I can come to him, as the news has pleased him.' When his boy reached Al-Fadl, he said, 'Good news, O Abu Al-Fadl.' Al-Abbas became overjoyed and leapt up until he kissed the boy between his eyes. The boy informed him of what Al-Hajjaj had said, and Al-Abbas ransomed him. Then Al-Hajjaj came and informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had conquered Khaybar, accumulated its wealth, and chosen Safiyyah bint Huyayy for himself, giving her the choice to be freed and become his wife. She chose to be freed and become his wife. However, I came here for what belonged to me and wanted to collect it and take it away.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave me permission to say whatever I wanted, so I spoke to him secretly three times, and then I mentioned what seemed appropriate to me." Then Al-Hajjaj's wife gathered all her jewelry and belongings and gave them to him. He tied them up and went. After three days, Al-Abbas went to the wife of Al-Hajjaj and asked her, "What has your husband done?" She told him that he had left on such and such day and said, "Don't be sad, may Allah bless you, O Abu Al-Fadl. What you have heard has been difficult for us." He replied, "By Allah, I am telling the truth. The matter is as I have told you." Then he went until he reached the gatherings of the Quraysh, who said, "When he passes by, only good befalls you, O Abu Al-Fadl." He replied, "Nothing has befallen me except what is good by the grace of Allah. Al-Hajjaj ibn 'Alaat told me that Khaybar has been conquered by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and Allah's arrows have been unleashed on their wealth. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has chosen Safiyyah bint Huyayy for himself." He had asked me to keep it a secret from you three times and had only come to collect what was rightfully his and to take it away. Then Allah removed the sadness that had befallen the Muslims and caused it to befall the polytheists. The Muslims left their homes feeling dejected until they came to Al-Abbas, who informed them of the news. The Muslims rejoiced and Allah returned what had been taken from them - sorrow, anger, and sadness - back to the polytheists.
