الْحَكَمُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ شَمْسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ

tabarani:3168 – Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥaḍramī > ʿAbbād b. Yaʿqūb > Ḥammād b. ʿĪsá > Bilāl b. Yaḥyá > Ḥudhayfah

[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ passed away and Abu Bakr was appointed as his successor, he was asked about Al-Hakam ibn Abi al-'As. He replied, "I will not undo a knot that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has tied."

الطبراني:٣١٦٨ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ

لَمَّا قُبِضَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَاسْتُخْلِفَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ قِيلَ لَهُ فِي الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ فَقَالَ «مَا كُنْتُ لِأَحُلَّ عُقْدَةً عَقَدَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ»
