6. Chapter of Jīm (Male) (15/21)
[Machine] From the wall, a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ said: "We were on an expedition with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when we encountered our enemy. So he stood, praised Allah and glorified Him, then he said, 'O people, you have become in between green, yellow, and red, and in the journey with what is in them. So when you encounter your enemy, advance, advance, for there is no one carrying out jihad in the cause of Allah except that two houris of Paradise hasten towards him. And when he is martyred, the first drop of his blood that falls, Allah ﷻ forgives all his sins. And two angels wipe the dust from his face and say, 'You are for me, and I am for you.'"
[Machine] Jarir and Adiyy ibn Hatim and Hanzala al-Katib left Kufa and went to Qirqisiya. They said, "We don't stay in a town where Uthman is cursed."

[Machine] I heard Junaid ibn Sab' saying, "I fought against the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as a disbeliever in the morning, and I fought with him as a Muslim in the evening." And the verse "And if it had not been for believing men and believing women" was revealed about us. He said, "We were nine people, seven men and two women."
[Machine] "Tomorrow, Abu Abdullah, meaning Jarir, will go to the market to buy an animal from it."

[Machine] "I saw Jarir ibn Abdullah dyeing his head and beard with black color."
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The best of those who touch you with his hand is the one on his right.' Then Jarir bin Abdullah approached."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Jareer is from us, the people of the household, both in appearance and lineage.” He repeated it three times.
[Machine] Jarir killed Baraz out of revenge, so there was a dispute in his region involving thirty thousand people. Baraz had killed a prominent man, so Jarir took his possessions from him. They wrote to Umar and he said, "This is not the type of booty that should be given. It is not from weaponry or spoils of war, and it was not carried off, so it should not be considered spoils."
[Machine] Omar prayed among the people and something came out of a person, so he said, "I have resolved to instruct the one who did this to make ablution and repeat his prayer." Jarir said, "Do you resolve to instruct everyone who hears about this to make ablution and repeat their prayer?" He replied, "Yes, indeed, I said that. May Allah reward you with goodness." So, he ordered them to do so.
[Machine] I used to stand at the door of Jarir ibn Abdullah, and he would come out riding his mule with his servant boy behind him.
[Machine] Indeed, the man covers himself while he is naked, meaning the thin clothes.
[Machine] Jareer and Al-Ash'ath ibn Qays met at a funeral, and Al-Ash'ath ibn Qays led the funeral prayer for Jareer.

[Machine] "I pledged allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ for listening and obeying."
Messenger of Allah ﷺs said to me, "Will you relieve me from Dhul-Khalasa? Dhul-Khalasa was a house (of an idol) belonging to the tribe of Khath'am called Al-Kaʿba Al-Yama-niya. So, I proceeded with one hundred and fifty cavalry men from the tribe of Ahmas, who were excellent knights. It happened that I could not sit firm on horses, so the Prophet ﷺ , stroke me over my chest till I saw his finger-marks over my chest, he said, 'O Allah! Make him firm and make him a guiding and rightly guided man.' " Jarir proceeded towards that house, and dismantled and burnt it. Then he sent a messenger to Allah's Apostle informing him of that. Jarir's messenger said, "By Him Who has sent you with the Truth, I did not come to you till I had left it like an emancipated or gabby camel (i.e. completely marred and spoilt)." Jarir added, "The Prophet ﷺ asked for Allah's Blessings for the horses and the men of Ahmas five times." (Using translation from Bukhārī 3020)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Does this not satisfy me, the one who is sincere?" So I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am a man who cannot ride horses properly." He then struck my chest and said, "O Allah, make him a guiding and guided one." I left to meet them with fifty of my people and burned them with fire. Then I returned to the Prophet, ﷺ , and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have come to you after leaving them like the most useless camel." He then prayed for Ahmas, her horses, and her men three times.
[Machine] I didn't stay on the horse, so I mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He struck his hand on my chest until I saw the mark of his hand on my chest. He then said, "O Allah, keep him steadfast and make him a guide and guided one." I never fell off a horse after that.
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: Can't on rid me of Dhu'I-Khalasah, the idol-house of Khath'am, and this idol-house was called the Yamanite Ka'ba. So I went along with 150 horsemen and I could not sit with steadfastness upon the horse. I made the mention of it to Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he struck his hand on my chest and said: O Allah, grant him steadfastness and make him the guide of righteousness and the rightly-guided one. So he went away and he set fire to it. Then Jarir sent some person to Messenger of Allah ﷺ whose Kunya was Abu Arta to give him the happy news about that. He came to Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: I have not come to you (but with the news) that we have left Dhu'l-Khalasah as a scabed camel. Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ blessed the horses of Ahmas and the men of their tribe five times. (Using translation from Muslim 2476b)
