I gave the pledge of allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ for offering prayer perfectly, giving Zakat, and giving good advice to every Muslim.

بَايَعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَلَى إِقَامِ الصَّلاَةِ وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ وَالنُّصْحِ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ sold a Mudabbar.

سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ؓ يَقُولُ بَاعَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

When I gave the pledge of allegiance to Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he stipulated that I should give good advice to every Muslim.

سَمِعْتُ جَرِيرًا ؓ يَقُولُ بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَاشْتَرَطَ عَلَىَّ وَالنُّصْحِ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ

Never was the Prophet ﷺ asked for a thing to be given for which his answer was 'no'.

سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا ؓ يَقُولُ مَا سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ شَىْءٍ قَطُّ فَقَالَ لاَ

I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah may peace and blessings be upon him) on sincerity and well-wishing for every Muslim.

سَمِعَ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ بَايَعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَلَى النُّصْحِ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ

It never happened that Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked for anything and he said: No.

مَا سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ شَيْئًا قَطُّ فَقَالَ لاَ

"I pledged to the Messenger of Allah to be sincere toward ever Muslim."

بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى النُّصْحِ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ

"I pledged to the Prophet to hear and obey and to be sincere toward every Muslim."

جَرِيرٌ بَايَعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ وَأَنْ أَنْصَحَ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ

[AI] I heard Jabir ibn Abdullah say, "The Prophet ﷺ was never asked a question without responding, 'No.'"

سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ مَا سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ شَيْئًا قَطُّ فَقَالَ لَا

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade killing any animal when it is tied up (for use as a target).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3188)

سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُقْتَلَ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ صَبْرًا

[AI] I heard Yusuf bin Abdullah bin Salam say, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ named me Yusuf."

سَمِعْتُ يُوسُفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ يَقُولُ سَمَّانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُوسُفَ

[AI] I heard Abdullah Ibn Al-Harith Ibn Jaz' saying, "I have never seen anyone smile more than the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."

سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ جَزْءٍ يَقُولُ مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا كَانَ أَكْثَرَ تَبَسُّمًا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

[AI] I heard Abdullah ibn Al-Harith ibn Jaz' Al-Zubaidi saying, "I have never seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except smiling."

سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ جَزْءٍ الزُّبَيْدِيَّ يَقُولُ مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَطُّ إِلَّا مُتَبَسِّمًا

I gave the Pledge of allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ that I would listen and obey, and he told me to add: 'As much as I can, and will give good advice to every Muslim.' (Using translation from Bukhārī 7204)

بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ فَقَالَ فَلَقَّنَنِي فَقَالَ فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتَ وَالنُّصْحَ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ

[AI] I heard Jarir saying, "I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to advise every Muslim. He said, 'A price for the deed of Ziad (a person), for verily I am an advisor for you.'"

سَمِعْتُ جَرِيرًا يَقُولُ بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى النُّصْحِ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ مِسْعَرٌ عَنْ زِيَادٍ فَإِنِّي لَكُمْ لَنَاصِحٌ

I pledged to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to perform Salah, pay the Zakah, be sincere toward every Muslim and forsake the idolaters. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4175)

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Some of the Muslims give shelter to others."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ يُجِيرُ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ بَعْضُهُمْ

[AI] I heard Yusuf ibn Abdullah ibn Salam saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ named me Yusuf."

سَمِعْتُ يُوسُفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ يَقُولُ سَمَّانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُوسُفَ

[AI] I heard Jabir ibn Abdullah say, "I entered upon Al-Hajjaj, but he did not greet me."

سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ «دَخَلْتُ عَلَى الْحَجَّاجِ فَمَا سَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ»

Jabir b. Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) is reported to have said that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of a heap of dates the weight of which is unknown in accordance with the known weight of dates. (Using translation from Muslim 1530a)

سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الصَّبْرِ مِنَ التَّمْرِ لَا يُعْلَمُ مَكِيلَتُهَا بِالْكَيْلِ الْمُسَمَّى مِنَ التَّمْرِ»

سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ «مَا سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ شَيْئًا قَطُّ فَأَبَى»

[AI] I heard Jabir saying, "The Prophet ﷺ was never asked about something and he said no."

سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ «مَا سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ شَيْءٍ قَطُّ فَقَالَ لَا»

[AI] I heard Jarir ibn Abdullah, who was our commander, saying, "I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ . Then, I returned and he called me and said, "I will not accept anything from you until you pledge allegiance and give good advice to every Muslim." So, I pledged allegiance to him."

سَمِعْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَكَانَ أَمِيرًا عَلَيْنَا يَقُولُ بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ إِنِّي رَجَعْتُ فَدَعَانِي فَقَالَ «لَا أَقْبَلُ مِنْكَ حَتَّى تُبَايِعَ وَالنُّصْحَ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ فَبَايَعْتُهُ»

[AI] "I have pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) to adhere to Islam and to give sincere advice to every Muslim, and I am indeed a sincere adviser to all of you."

«بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ وَالنُّصْحِ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ وَإِنِّي لَكُمْ نَاصِحٌ أَجْمَعِينَ»

[AI] I heard Jareer ibn Abdullah on the pulpit saying, "I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he stipulated advice for every Muslim."

سَمِعْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَاشْتَرَطَ عَلَيَّ وَالنُّصْحَ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ»

[AI] "I heard Jareer saying, 'I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , with my own hands upon Islam, and I made it a condition upon myself to offer sincere advice to every Muslim.' By the Lord of the Kaaba, indeed I am sincere to all of you."

سَمِعْتُ جَرِيرًا يَقُولُ «بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدَيَّ هَذِهِ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ وَشَرَطَ عَلَيَّ النُّصْحَ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ» فَوَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ إِنِّي لَنَاصِحٌ لَكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

«بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَكَفَّ يَدَهُ لِيَشْتَرِطَ عَلَيَّ النُّصْحَ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ»

[AI] I heard Ibn Abbas saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the act of hijama while he was in a state of ihram."

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ «احْتَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Do not make images of the servants of Allah."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا تُمَثِّلُوا بِعِبَادِ اللهِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called me Yusuf.

سَمَّانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُوسُفَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ named me Yusuf.

God's Messenger ﷺ wasn't asked for anything, ever, [to which] he then said: No

"عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: مَا سُئِلَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ شَيْئًا قَطُّ فَقَالَ: لاَ".

"عن جَريرٍ قَالَ: بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ، وَالنُّصْحِ لِلمُسْلِمينَ".
