6. Chapter of Jīm (Male) (1/21)
[Machine] The washing of janabah (major ritual impurity) was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , and he said, "As for me, I pour water thrice onto my head."

“Ja’far bin Abu Talib used to like the poor; he would sit with them and talk to them, and they would talk to him. And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him the Kunyah of Abul-Masakin (Father of the Poor).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4125)
[Machine] And he said, "What do you say?" So we said, "Indeed, our people worship idols, and indeed Allah has sent a Messenger to us, so we believed in him and affirmed him." So Najashi said to them, "Are they your slaves?" They said, "No." He said, "Then they are free from any debt from you?" They said, "No." He said, "So leave them alone." So we left his presence. 'Amr bin Al-Aas said, "Indeed, these people say about 'Isa (Jesus) what you do not say." He said, "If they do not say about 'Isa what I say, I will not leave them in my land for a moment of the day." He said, "So he sent for us, and his invitation was tougher on us than the first. So he said, "What does your companion say about 'Isa ibn Maryam (Jesus, son of Mary)?" So we said, "He says he is the Spirit of Allah and His word, which He bestowed upon the Virgin Mary." He said, "So he sent for them and said, "Summon this priest and this monk." So people from among them came to him, and he said, "What do you say about 'Isa ibn Maryam?" They said, "You know best." He said, "So what do you say?" Najashi took something from the ground, and said, "This is what 'Isa says. He does not exceed what these people say." Then he said to them, "Does anyone harm you?" They said, "Yes." So he commanded a caller to announce, "Whoever harms any of them will be granted an allowance of four dirhams." Then he said, "Is this enough for you?" They said, "No." So he doubled it. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ emigrated to Al-Madinah and appeared there, we said to Najashi, "Indeed, our companion has left for Al-Madinah and has appeared there, and he emigrated and killed those whom we informed you about, and we wanted to join him." So he provided us with what we needed and said, "Inform your companion of what I have done for you, and this is my Messenger with you, and I testify that there is no god but Allah, and that you are the Messenger of Allah." So tell him to seek forgiveness for me." Ja'far said, "So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up, performed ablution, then he prayed three times, 'O Allah, forgive Najashi.' And the Muslims said, 'Ameen.' Ja'far said, "I said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , 'Leave now and inform your companion about what you have seen of the Prophet ﷺ .' And the wording is that of the hadith of Muhammad bin Adam."

[Machine] A messenger was sent among us whom we knew his language, truthfulness, and loyalty. He invited us to worship Allah alone without associating anything with Him, and he denounced what our people and others besides them used to worship. He commanded us to do good and to forbid evil, and he instructed us to perform prayer, fasting, charity, and maintaining family ties. He invited us to what we were familiar with and recited to us a revelation that came from Allah which no one else resembles. So, we believed in him, trusted him, and recognized that what he brought was the truth from Allah. At that time, our people mistreated and persecuted us. When they reached a point where we could no longer tolerate their harm, we left for your land and chose you over anyone else. The Najashi (King of Ethiopia) said, "Go, for you are safe in my land. Whoever harms you will be punished."
[Machine] They mentioned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about washing away impurity (janabah), so he said, "As for me, I pour water three times over my head." Then he gestured with his hand as if he was pouring water with it onto his head.
[Machine] It was mentioned in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about performing the ablution after sexual impurity, so he said, "As for me, I pour water on my head three times."
[Machine] We learned from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ how to perform the ritual purification after sexual impurity (janabah). The Prophet ﷺ said, "As for me, I pour water on my head three times and then I wash my head to purify it from janabah."
[Machine] We learned about performing the ritual of washing after sexual impurity from the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). One of us asked, "What should we do?" The Prophet (PBUH) answered, "As for me, I take a handful of water and pour it on my head, and then I pour water on the rest of my body."
People made a mention of washing because of sexual defilement before the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) said: I pour (water) on my head three times. And he made a sign with both his hands. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 239)
"(The Companions) disputed in the presence of the Messenger of Allah about having a bath to cleanse oneself from sexual impurity. The Messenger of Allah said: 'As for me, I pour three handfuls of water on my head.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 575)
"(The Companions) disputed in the presence of the Messenger of Allah about having a bath to cleanse oneself from sexual impurity. The Messenger of Allah said: 'As for me, I pour three handfuls of water on my head.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 575)
[Machine] The washing was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ and he said, "As for me, it suffices me to pour water over my head three times, cupping my hands, from the state of major impurity."
[Machine] We mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ about washing after sexual impurity, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "As for me, I perform ablution (wudu) for prayer, then I take a handful of water three times and pour it on my head, then I perform a ritual bath (ghusl)."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "For the Quraish, the strength of two men can be found outside of the Quraish." Ibn Shihab asked, "What does that mean?" He replied, "Noble opinion."
His father said: "I heard the Prophet ﷺ recite At-Tur in Maghrib." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 987)
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reciting al-Tur(surah lii) in the sunset prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 811)
[Machine] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the ransom of the people of Badr. I heard him reciting in the Maghrib and at Mount Sinai and a written book.
[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi and Ibrahim ibn Bashshar al-Ramadi narrated to us, and Abu Shuayb al-Harrani narrated to us, and Abdullah ibn Jafar al-Raqqi narrated to us, and Muad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, and Musaddad said: They said, Sufyan ibn Uyaynah said: I heard al-Zuhri narrating from Muhammad ibn Jubair ibn Mut'im from his father that he heard the Prophet saw reciting in al-Maghrib "At-Tur". And the wording is for al-Humaidi.

She heard the Prophet ﷺ recite Al-Mursalat in Maghrib. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 986)
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reciting al-Tur(surah lii) in the sunset prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 811)

[Machine] It is mentioned in the Fida' of the captives of Badr that I happened to coincide with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reciting in the Maghrib prayer and the Surah at-Tur that is written in a parchment spread out. He then took me from his recitation with such pain. This was the first thing I heard about the matter of Islam.
[Machine] "Hushaim, and I think I have only heard it from Al-Zuhri, from Muhammad ibn Jubair ibn Mut'im, from his father Jubair ibn Mut'im, who said: I came to the Prophet ﷺ to speak to him about the prisoners of Badr. I met him while he was praying Maghrib or Isha with his companions. I heard him say or recite, and his voice came from the mosque, 'Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur. There is none who can avert it.' It was as if my heart was torn apart."

[Machine] I came to the Prophet while he was praying with his companions the evening or the sunset prayer, and I heard him reciting, and his voice was audible from the mosque, "Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur. There is no one who can avert it." It was as if my heart had been pierced.
[Machine] "I visited the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the captivity of Badr, and he prayed the Maghrib prayer with the people, reciting it at At-Tur."
Jubair bin Mut’im reported the Prophet ﷺ as saying about the prisoners taken at Badr. If Mut’im bin ‘Adi had been alive and spoken to me about these filthy ones, I would have left them for him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2689)
