قَدِمْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي وَفْدِ كِنْدَةَ فَقَالَ لِي هَلْ لَكَ مِنْ وَلَدٍ؟ قُلْتُ غُلَامٌ وُلِدَ لِي فِي مَخْرَجِي إِلَيْكَ مِنَ ابْنَةِ جَمْدٍ وَلَوَدِدْتُ أَنَّ مَكَانَهُ شَبِعَ الْقَوْمُ قَالَ لَا تَقُولَنَّ ذَلِكَ فَإِنَّ فِيهِمْ قُرَّةَ عَيْنٍ وَأَجْرًا إِذَا قُبِضُوا ثُمَّ لَئِنْ قُلْتَ ذَاكَ إِنَّهُمْ لَمَجْبَنَةٌ مَحْزَنَةٌ إِنَّهُمْ لَمَجْبَنَةٌ مَحْزَنَةٌ

أَنَّهُ قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي وَفْدِ كِنْدَةَ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «هَلْ لَكَ مِنْ وَلَدٍ؟» قَالَ لَا إِلَّا مَوْلُودٌ وُلِدَ لِي مَخْرَجِي إِلَيْكَ وَلَوَدِدْتُ أَنَّ لِي مَكَانَهُ شَبِعَ الْقَوْمُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَا تَقُلْ ذَاكَ فَإِنَّ فِيهِمْ قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَأَجْرًا إِذَا قُبِضُوا وَلَئِنْ قُلْتَ ذَلِكَ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمَجْبَنَةٌ وَمَحْزَنَةٌ وَمَبْخَلَةٌ»

" عَنِ الأَشْعَثِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ: قَدمْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِى وَفْدِ كِنْدَةَ، فَقَالَ لِى النَّبِىُّ ﷺ : هَلْ لَكَ مِنْ وَلَدٍ؟ فَقُلتُ: غُلاَمٌ ولُدَ مَخْرَجِى إِلَيه (* * *)

مِن ابْنَةِ فُلاَنٍ وَلَوَدِدْتُ أَنْ نُشْبِعَ القَوْمَ مَكَانَهُ. فَقَالَ: لاَ تَقُولَنَّ ذَا فَإِنَّ فِيهِمْ قُرَّةَ عَيْنٍ وَأَجْرًا إِذَا قُبِضُوا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إنَّهُم لَمَجْبَنَةٌ مَبْخَلَةٌ مَحْزَنَةٌ ".
