("إِنَّ لِلزَّوْجِ من المَرْأةِ لَشُعْبَةً ما هى لِشَىْءٍ" قاله. لَمَّا قِيل لِحَمْنَةَ بنت جَحْثس: قُتِلَ زَوْجُكِ. قَالَتْ: وَاحُزْناهُ".  

ابن ماجه عن محمد بن عبد اللَّه بن جحش، وابن سعد، [ك] الحاكم في المستدرك [ق] البيهقى في السنن عن محمد بن عبد اللَّه بن جحش)
