Last night a good man had a vision in which Abu Bakr seemed to be joined to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. ‘Umar to Abu Bakr, and ‘Uthman to ‘Umar. Jabir said: When we got up and left the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, we said: The good man is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and that their being joined together means that they are the rulers over this matter with which Allah has sent His Prophet ﷺ. Abu Dawud said: It has been transmitted by Yunus and Shu’aib, but they did not mention ‘Amr b. Aban.

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I saw a righteous man last night, that Abu Bakr holds onto the hand of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Umar holds onto the hand of Abu Bakr, and Uthman holds onto the hand of Umar." When we stood up from being near the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, we said, "As for the righteous man, it is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. And as for what was mentioned of them holding onto each other's hand, they are the leaders of this matter that Allah sent His Prophet with." Ad-Darimi said, "I heard Yahya ibn Ma'in saying that Muhammad ibn Harb narrated this hadith with its chain of transmission, and people narrate it from Az-Zuhri as Mursal. It is actually Amr ibn Aban and Aban ibn Uthman's son called Amr."
