nasai:2617 – Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh b. al-Mubārak > Ḥujayn > al-Layth > ʿUqayl > Ibn Shihāb > Sālim b. ʿAbdullāh

'Umar give a house in charity for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, and he found it being offered for sale after that. He wanted to buy it, then he went to the Messenger of Allah and asked him about that. The Messenger of Allah said: "Do not take back what you have given in charity."  

النسائي:٢٦١٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا حُجَيْنٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ

أَنَّ عُمَرَ تَصَدَّقَ بِفَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ﷻ فَوَجَدَهَا تُبَاعُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَشْتَرِيَهُ ثُمَّ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَاسْتَأْمَرَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَعُدْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ

Umar, do not get back what you gave as charity.

أَنَّ عُمَرَ حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ رَآهَا تُبَاعُ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَشْتَرِيَهَا فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَعُدْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ يَا عُمَرُ  

tirmidhi:668 – Hārūn b. Isḥāq al-Hamdānī > ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Maʿmar > al-Zuhrī > Sālim > Ibn ʿUmar > ʿUmar

Umar gave a horse to be used in the cause of Allah. Then he saw it being sold, so he wanted to buy it, but the Prophet said: "Do not take back what you have given in charity."  

الترمذي:٦٦٨ – حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عُمَرَ

أَنَّهُ حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ رَآهَا تُبَاعُ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَشْتَرِيَهَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لاَ تَعُدْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ

nasai-kubra:2410 – Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh b. al-Mubārak > Ḥujayn b. al-Muthanná > al-Layth > ʿUqayl > Ibn Shihāb > Sālim b. ʿAbdullāh

[Machine] He buys it, then he goes to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and consults him in that. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ tells him, "Do not count it as a charity."
