I (had the opportunity) one day to dine with Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I picked up flesh from around the dish. Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Eat from that which is near to you.

أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَكَلْتُ يَوْمًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَجَعَلْتُ آخُذُ مِنْ لَحْمٍ حَوْلَ الصَّحْفَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ كُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيكَ
