"عَنْ عمرَ بْنِ أَبِى سَلَمَةَ قَالَ: أَكَلْتُ يومًا مَعَ رسُولِ الله ﷺ فَجَعْلتُ آخُذُ مِنْ لحْمٍ حَوْلَ الصَّحْفَةِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ كُلْ مِمَا يليكَ.

I (had the opportunity) one day to dine with Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I picked up flesh from around the dish. Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Eat from that which is near to you.
