“Allah has revealed to me that you should be humble towards one another so that none of you boasts to another.”

ابن ماجة:٤١٧٩ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ مَطَرٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ حِمَارٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ خَطَبَهُمْ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ ﷻ أَوْحَى إِلَىَّ أَنْ تَوَاضَعُوا حَتَّى لاَ يَفْخَرَ أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah has revealed to me to ˹teach˺ humility, so that no one oppresses anyone else and no one boasts over anyone else.”

أبو داود:٤٨٩٥ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ حِمَارٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَوْحَى إِلَىَّ أَنْ تَوَاضَعُوا حَتَّى لاَ يَبْغِيَ أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ وَلاَ يَفْخَرَ أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ».

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said in his sermon, "Verily, Allah ﷻ has revealed to me to be humble. No one should boast over another, nor should anyone seek to wrong another."

الطبراني:١٥١٢٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ قَالُوا ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى الشَّيْبَانِيُّ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ عَنْ مَطَرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ حِمَارٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ «إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ أَوْحَى إِلَيَّ أَنْ تَوَاضَعُوا لَا يَفْخَرْ أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ وَلَا يَبْغيِ أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ»

suyuti:4724a –

The Prophet ﷺ said: Allah has revealed to me that you must be humble, so that no one oppresses another and boasts over another. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4895)

السيوطي:٤٧٢٤a –

"إِنَّ اللهَ أوْحَى إِليَّ أنْ تَوَاضَعُوا حتَّى لا يَفْخَرَ أحَدٌ عَلَى أحَدٍ، وَلا يَبْغِى أحَدٌ عَلَى أحَدٍ".
