“Faith will retreat to Al-Madinah as a snake retreats to its hole.”
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الإِيمَانَ لَيَأْرِزُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ كَمَا تَأْرِزُ الْحَيَّةُ إِلَى جُحْرِهَا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, Belief returns and goes back to Medina as a snake returns and goes back to its hole (when in danger).
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الإِيمَانَ لَيَأْرِزُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ كَمَا تَأْرِزُ الْحَيَّةُ إِلَى جُحْرِهَا
Verily the faith would recede to Medina just as the serpent crawls back into its hole.
