ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ قَوْلَهُ ﷺ «كَمَا بَيْنَ أَيْلَةَ إِلَى صَنْعَاءَ»: أَرَادَ بِهِ صَنْعَاءَ الْيَمَنِ دُونَ صَنْعَاءَ الشَّامِ

ibnhibban:6459 – Muḥammad b. al-Ḥasan b. Qutaybah > Yazīd b. Mawhib > Ibn Wahb > Yūnus b. Yazīd > Ibn Shihāb > Anas b. Mālik

My Cistern would be as extensive as the distance between Aila and San'a, of Yemen, and there would be in it jugs like stars in the sky. (Using translation from Muslim 2303a)   

ابن حبّان:٦٤٥٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهِبٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ حَدَّثَهُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ حَوْضِي كَمَا بَيْنَ أَيْلَةَ إِلَى صَنْعَاءَ وَإِنَّ فِيهِ مِنَ الْأَبَارِيقِ بِعَدَدِ نُجُومِ السَّمَاءِ»

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The width of my Lake-Fount is equal to the distance between Aila (a town in Sham) and Sana' (the capital of Yemen) and it has as many (numerous) jugs as the number of stars of the sky."

مسلم:٢٣٠٣a – وَحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ

أَنَّحَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ قَدْرُ حَوْضِي كَمَا بَيْنَ أَيْلَةَ وَصَنْعَاءَ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ وَإِنَّ فِيهِ مِنَ الأَبَارِيقِ كَعَدَدِ نُجُومِ السَّمَاءِ  

tirmidhi:2442 – Muḥammad b. Yaḥyá > Bishr b. Shuʿayb b. Abū Ḥamzah from my father > al-Zuhrī > Anas b. Mālik

"Indeed, at my Hawd there are drinking vessels as numerous as the stars in the heavens."  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ-Gharīb in this particular context.
الترمذي:٢٤٤٢ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ فِي حَوْضِي مِنَ الأَبَارِيقِ بِعَدَدِ نُجُومِ السَّمَاءِ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ
