"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how can I pay back the dues of the one who breast-fed me?' He said: 'By giving a male or female slave.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3329)
أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا يُذْهِبُ عَنِّي مَذِمَّةَ الرَّضَاعِ قَالَ «الْغُرَّةُ الْعَبْدُ أَوِ الْأَمَةِ»
"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how can I pay back the dues of the one who breast-fed me?' He said: 'By giving a male or female slave.'"
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا يُذْهِبُ عَنِّي مَذَمَّةَ الرَّضَاعِ قَالَ غُرَّةُ عَبْدٍ أَوْ أَمَةٍ
I asked: Messenger of Allah, what will remove from me the obligation due for fostering a child? He said: A slave or a slave-woman.
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا يُذْهِبُ عَنِّي مَذَمَّةَ الرَّضَاعَةِ قَالَ الْغُرَّةُ الْعَبْدُ أَوِ الأَمَةُ قَالَ النُّفَيْلِيُّ حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَجَّاجٍ الأَسْلَمِيُّ وَهَذَا لَفْظُهُ
“O Messenger of Allah! What will remove the responsibility of the foster relationship from me?” So he said: “A Ghurrah: a male slave or a female slave.”
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا يُذْهِبُ عَنِّي مَذَمَّةَ الرَّضَاعِ فَقَالَ غُرَّةٌ عَبْدٌ أَوْ أَمَةٌ

" عَنْ الحَجَّاجِ الأَسْلَمِىِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ الله: مَا يُذْهِبُ عَنى مَذَمَّةَ الرَّضَاعِ؟ قَالَ: غُرَّةٌ عَبْد أَوْ أَمَة".
