58.11.147 Subsection

٥٨۔١١۔١٤٧ ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنِ الْوَقْتِ الَّذِي وُلِدَ فِيهِ الدَّجَّالُ

[Machine] "And I heard Ibn Umar saying that after that, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went with Ubayy ibn Ka'b to the date palm tree that belonged to Ibn Sayyad. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the date palm tree, he shook the trunks of the date palm tree and he loved to hear something from Ibn Sayyad before Ibn Sayyad could see him. But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw him lying, on a bed in a Qatifah that had a groaning noise coming from it. The mother of Ibn Sayyad saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ shaking the trunks of the date palm tree and she said to Ibn Sayyad, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'If you leave him.' Ibn Umar said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ then ascended the pulpit and praised Allah as He deserves to be praised, and then he mentioned the Dajjal and said, 'I warn you about him. There was no Prophet who did not warn his people about him. Indeed, Noah warned his people about him. But I will tell you something about him that no Prophet told his people: learn that he is one-eyed and that Allah is not one-eyed.'"  

ابن حبّان:٦٧٨٥bقَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ قَالَ سَالِمٌ

وَسَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ انْطَلَقَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ إِلَى النَّخْلِ الَّتِي فِيهَا ابْنُ صَيَّادٍ حَتَّى إِذَا دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ النَّخْلَ طَفِقَ يَتَّقِي بِجُذُوعِ النَّخْلِ وَهُوَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَسْمَعَ مِنِ ابْنِ صَيَّادٍ شَيْئًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرَاهُ ابْنُ صَيَّادٍ فَرَآهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ مُضْطَجِعٌ عَلَى فِرَاشٍ فِي قَطِيفَةٍ لَهُ فِيهَا زَمْزَمَةٌ فَرَأَتْ أُمُّ ابْنِ صَيَّادٍ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ يَتَّقِي بِجُذُوعِ النَّخْلِ فَقَالَتْ لِابْنِ صَيَّادٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ «لَوْ تَرَكْتِيهِ» قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فِي النَّاسِ فَأَثْنَى عَلَى اللَّهِ بِمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الدَّجَّالَ فَقَالَ «إِنِّي أُنْذِرُكُمُوهُ مَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا قَدْ أَنْذَرَ قَوْمَهُ لَقَدْ أَنْذَرَ نُوحٌ قَوْمَهُ وَلَكِنِّي أَقُولُ لَكُمْ فِيهِ قَوْلًا لَمْ يَقُلْهُ نَبِيٌّ لِقَوْمِهِ تَعَلَّمُوا أَنَّهُ أَعْوَرُ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ»

٥٨۔١١ بَابُ إِخْبَارِهِ ﷺ عَمَّا يَكُونُ فِي أُمَّتِهِ مِنَ الْفِتَنِ وَالْحَوَادِثِ

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ وَصْفِ الْمَلْحَمَةِ الَّتِي تَكُونُ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ مَعَ بَنِي الْأَصْفَرِ قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ

[Machine] Woe to you! Surely, the hour will not come until there is neither a division of inheritance nor rejoicing over booty. Then he struck his hand towards Sham and said, "An enemy will gather against the Muslims from here, and they will be called to fight each other. The condition for their agreement is that death will not retreat until it becomes dominant. They will fight until the sun sets, and both groups will be diminished, and none will be dominant. Then the condition will be changed to a new condition the next day, where death will not retreat until it becomes dominant, and they will fight until the sun sets, and both groups will be diminished, and none will be dominant. Then the condition will change again the next day to a condition where death will not retreat until it becomes dominant, and they will fight until the sun sets, and both groups will be diminished, and none will be dominant. Then they will meet on the fourth day and fight, and they will defeat them until the blood reaches the hocks of the horses and they will fight until there will be no one left except one man. So, what inheritance will be divided after this, and what booty will be rejoiced over? Then they will seek to conquer Constantinople, and while they are distributing the coins using their shields, suddenly a great alarm will appear. Indeed, the Antichrist has emerged among you. They will reject what is in their hands and will prepare their vanguards for battle. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "They are the best vanguards on earth on that day. I know their names, the names of their fathers, their tribes, and the colors of their horses."  

ابن حبّان:٦٧٨٦أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أُسَيْرِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ قَالَ هَاجَتْ رِيحٌ وَنَحْنُ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَغَضِبَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ حَتَّى عَرَفْنَا الْغَضَبَ فِي وَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ

وَيْحَكَ إِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لَا تَقُومُ حَتَّى لَا يُقْسَمَ مِيرَاثٌ وَلَا يُفْرَحَ بِغَنِيمَةٍ ثُمَّ ضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى الشَّامِ وَقَالَ عَدُوٌّ يَجْتَمِعُ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ مِنْ هَاهُنَا فَيَلْتَقُونَ فَتُشْتَرَطُ شُرْطَةُ الْمَوْتِ لَا تَرْجِعُ إِلَّا وَهِيَ غَالِبَةٌ فَيَقْتَتِلُونَ حَتَّى تَغِيبَ الشَّمْسُ فَيَفِيءُ هَؤُلَاءِ وَهَؤُلَاءِ وَكُلٌّ غَيْرُ غَالِبٍ وَتَفْنَى الشُّرْطَةُ ثُمَّ تُشْتَرَطُ الْغَدَ شُرْطَةُ الْمَوْتِ لَا تَرْجِعُ إِلَّا وَهِيَ غَالِبَةً فَيَقْتَتِلُونَ حَتَّى تَغِيبَ الشَّمْسُ فَيَفِيءُ هَؤُلَاءِ وَهَؤُلَاءِ وَكُلٌّ غَيْرُ غَالِبٍ وَتَفْنَى الشُّرْطَةُ ثُمَّ تُشْتَرَطُ الْغَدَ شُرْطَةُ الْمَوْتِ فِي الْيَوْمِ الثَّالِثِ لَا تَرْجِعُ إِلَّا وَهِيَ غَالِبَةً فَيَقْتَتِلُونَ حَتَّى تَغِيبَ الشَّمْسَ فَيَفِيءُ هَؤُلَاءِ وَهَؤُلَاءِ وَكُلٌّ غَيْرُ غَالِبٍ وَتُفْنَى الشُّرْطَةُ ثُمَّ يَلْتَقُونَ فِي الْيَوْمِ الرَّابِعِ فَيُقَاتِلُونَهُمْ وَيَهْزِمُونَهُمْ حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ الدِّمَاءُ نَحْرَ الْخَيْلِ وَيَقْتَتِلُونَ حَتَّى إِنَّ بَنِي الْأَبِ كَانُوا يَتَعَادُّونَ عَلَى مِائَةٍ فَيُقْتَلُونَ حَتَّى لَا يَبْقَى مِنْهُمْ رَجُلٌ وَاحِدٌ فَأَيُّ مِيرَاثٍ يُقْسَمُ بَعْدَ هَذَا وَأَيُّ غَنِيمَةٍ يُفْرَحُ بِهَا ثُمَّ يَسْتَفْتِحُونَ الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةَ فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ يَقْسِمُونَ الدَّنَانِيرَ بِالتَّرَسَةِ إِذْ أَتَاهُمْ فَزَعٌ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ إِنَّ الدَّجَّالَ قَدْ خَرَجَ فِي ذَرَارِيِّكُمْ فَيَرْفُضُونَ مَا فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ وَيُقْبِلُونَ وَيَبْعَثُونَ طَلِيعَةَ فَوَارِسَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «هُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرُ فَوَارِسِ الْأَرْضِ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ أَسْمَاءَهُمْ وَأَسْمَاءَ آبَائِهِمْ وَقَبَائِلِهِمْ وَأَلْوَانَ خُيُولِهِمْ»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ وَصْفِ الْعَلَامَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ تَظْهَرَانِ عِنْدَ خُرُوجِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ مِنْ وَثَاقِهِ

[Machine] He said to Fatimah bint Qays, "Tell me something that you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and do not tell me something that you have not heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." She said, "Yes, I heard the call to prayer being announced, so the people gathered and became frightened. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then climbed the pulpit and praised Allah and glorified Him. He said, 'I did not gather you out of desire or fear, but rather I have heard a narration from Tameem Ad-Daari that he claimed to have ridden the sea with thirty men from Lakhm and Juzam tribes. The sea played with us and we sailed with the waves for a month until we were thrown by the ship onto an island in the sea. We went out on it and found a young girl whose hair was being combed, and we did not know if she was coming or going. We asked her, 'Who are you?' She said, 'I am the Jassasah.' We said, 'Tell us about the person who lives in the monastery, for he will inform you and give you news.' We entered upon him and found a man who was being held to a chain that was made of iron and was fastened to the ground. We asked, 'Who are you?' He replied, 'Inform me about what I will ask you, (first).' We said, 'Ask.' He said, 'What has the date-palm of Baysaan produced?' We replied, 'Dates.' He said, 'Verily, it shall not bear any more dates.' He said, 'What about the lake of Zughar, is there water in it?' We replied, 'Yes.' He said, 'Verily, it shall become dry.' He then said, 'Inform me about this man who claims to be a prophet. Has he been sent?' We replied, 'Yes.' He said, 'Indeed, soon the earth shall be rolled up for him and he will come to all people within forty mornings.'"  

ابن حبّان:٦٧٨٧أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ السِّكِّينِ بِبَلَدِ الْمَوْصِلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَوْنُ بْنُ كَهْمَسٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِفَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ حَدِّثِينِي بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتِيهِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَلَا تُحَدِّثِينِي بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ تَسْمَعِيهِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ نُودِيَ بِالصَّلَاةِ جَامِعَةً فَاجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ وَفَزِعُوا قَالَتْ فَصَعِدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمِنْبَرَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ «إِنِّي لَمْ أَجْمَعْكُمْ لِرَغْبَةٍ وَلَا لِرَهْبَةٍ وَلَكِنْ حَدِيثٌ حَدَّثَنِيهِ تَمِيمٌ الدَّارِيُّ زَعَمَ أَنَّهُ رَكِبَ الْبَحْرَ فِي ثَلَاثِينَ رَجُلًا مِنْ لَخْمٍ وَجُذَامٍ قَالَ فَلَعِبَ بِنَا الْبَحْرُ وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ لَعِبَ بِنَا الْمَوْجُ شَهْرًا ثُمَّ قَذَفَ بِنَا السَّفِينَةَ إِلَى جَزِيرَةٍ فِي الْبَحْرِ قَالَ فَخَرَجْنَا إِلَيْهَا فَلَقِيَتْنَا جَارِيَةٌ تَجُرُّ شَعْرَهَا لَا نَدْرِي مُقْبِلَةٌ هِيَ أَمْ مُدْبِرَةٌ قُلْنَا مَا أَنْتِ؟ قَالَتْ أَنَا الْجَسَّاسَةُ قُلْنَا أَخْبِرِينَا قَالَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ بِصَاحِبِ الدَّيْرِ وَهُوَ يُخْبِرُكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْبِرُكُمْ قَالَ فَدَخَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ ذَكَرَ مِنْ عِظَمِهِ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ وَهُوَ مُوثَقٌ إِلَى حَبَلٍ بِالْحَدِيدِ فَقُلْنَا مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ أَخْبِرُونِي عَمَّا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَنْهُ قَالُوا سَلْنَا قَالَ مَا فَعَلَ نَخْلُ بَيْسَانَ يُطْعَمُ؟ قُلْنَا نَعَمْ قَالَ يُوشِكُ أَنْ لَا يُطْعَمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَخْبِرُونِي عَنْ عَيْنِ زُغَرَ بِهَا مَاءٌ؟ قُلْنَا نَعَمْ قَالَ يُوشِكُ أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ بِهَا مَاءٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَخْبِرُونِي عَنْ هَذَا الرَّجُلِ هَلْ خَرَجَ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ إِنَّهُ صَادِقٌ فَاتَّبِعُوهُ فَقُلْنَا مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ أَنَا الدَّجَّالُ» قَالَ كَهْمَسٌ فَذَكَرَ ابْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ شَيْئًا لَمْ أَحْفَظْهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ « تُطْوَى لَهُ الْأَرْضُ وَيَأْتِي عَلَى جَمِيعِهِنَّ فِي أَرْبَعِينَ صَبَاحًا»  

58.11.150 Subsection

٥٨۔١١۔١٥٠ ذِكْرُ الْعَلَامَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ الَّتِي تَظْهَرُ فِي الْعَرَبِ عِنْدَ خُرُوجِ الدَّجَّالِ مِنْ وَثَاقِهِ كَفَانَا اللَّهُ وَكُلَّ مُسْلِمٍ شَرَّهُ وَفِتْنَتَهُ

[Machine] I heard Fatimah bint Qays saying: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascended the pulpit and praised Allah and glorified Him. Then he said, 'I warn you against the Dajjal (the Antichrist), for no prophet was sent before me who did not warn his nation against him. He is indeed among you, and indeed the sign of a restoration of a red hair, which she (the story-teller) mentioned. They added, 'Tell us'! She replied, 'I am not informing you about anything, neither am I asking you, but go to the monastery, for there is a man who yearns to meet you.' So they went to the monastery and there they found a man chained between two iron columns. The Prophet asked, 'Where are you from and who are you?' They replied, 'We are from the people of the Levant.' He asked, 'Who are you?' They replied, 'We are Arabs.' He asked, 'What are the Arabs doing?' They said, 'They have among them a Prophet in the land of Taimah.' He asked, 'What are the people doing?' They replied, 'Some of them believe him and some of them deny him.' He said, 'If they believe in him and follow him, it is good for them, if they only knew.' Then he asked, 'What are your houses made of?' They replied, 'They are made of hair and wool spun by our women.' He struck his thigh with his hand and said, 'Behold, what a pity! Then he asked, 'What has happened to Tabariyyah?' They replied, 'Its waters flow in all directions and whoever comes to it can take from it.' He struck his thigh with his hand and said, 'Behold, what a pity!' Then he asked, 'What has happened to your spring Zughar?' They replied, 'Its waters flow in all directions and whoever comes to it can take from it.' He struck his thigh with his hand and said, 'Behold, what a pity!' Then he asked, 'What has happened to the date-palm of Baysan?' They replied, 'Its fruit is taken.' He struck his thigh with his hand and said, 'Behold, what a pity! By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, if I have been released from these fetters, I would have destroyed every house of Baysan except the mosques of Makkah and Al-Madinah, as they hinder the Dajjal from entering them until the Day of Resurrection.'"

سَمِعْتُ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ قَيْسٍ تَقُولُ صَعِدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمِنْبَرَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «أُنْذِرُكُمُ الدَّجَّالَ فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيٌّ قَبْلِي إِلَّا وَقَدْ أَنْذَرَهُ أُمَّتَهُ وَهُوَ كَائِنٌ فِيكُمْ أَيَّتُهَا الْأُمَّةُ إِنَّهُ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي وَلَا أُمَّةَ بَعْدَكُمْ إِلَّا إِنَّ تَمِيمًا الدَّارِيَّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ ابْنَ عَمٍّ لَهُ وَأَصْحَابَهُ رَكِبُوا بَحْرَ الشَّامِ فَانْتَهَوْا إِلَى جَزِيرَةٍ مِنْ جَزَائِرِهِ فَإِذَا هُمْ بِدَهْمَاءَ تَجُرُّ شَعْرَهَا قَالُوا مَا أَنْتِ؟ قَالَتْ الْجَسَّاسَةُ أَوِ الَجَاسِسَةُ قَالُوا أَخْبِرِينَا؟ قَالَتْ مَا أَنَا بِمُخْبِرَتِكُمْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ وَلَا سَائِلَتِكُمْ عَنْهُ وَلَكِنِ ائْتُوا الدَّيْرَ فَإِنَّ فِيهِ رَجُلًا بِالْأَشْوَاقِ إِلَى لِقَائِكُمْ فَأَتَوَا الدَّيْرَ فَإِذَا هُمْ بِرَجُلٍ مَمْسُوحُ الْعَيْنِ مُوثَقٌ فِي الْحَدِيدِ إِلَى سَارِيَةٍ فَقَالَ مِنْ أَيْنَ أَنْتُمْ؟ وَمَنْ أَنْتُمْ؟ قَالُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ قَالَ فَمَنْ أَنْتُمْ؟ قَالُوا نَحْنُ الْعَرَبُ قَالَ فَمَا فَعَلْتِ الْعَرَبُ؟ قَالُوا خَرَجَ فِيهِمْ نَبِيٌّ بِأَرْضِ تَيْمَاءَ قَالَ فَمَا فَعَلَ النَّاسُ؟ قَالُوا فِيهِمْ مَنْ صَدَّقَهُ وَفِيهِمْ مَنْ كَذَّبَهُ قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهُمْ إِنْ يُصَدِّقُوهُ وَيَتَّبِعُوهُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا بُيُوتُكُمْ؟ قَالُوا مِنْ شَعَرٍ وَصُوفٍ تَغْزِلُهُ نِسَاؤُنَا قَالَ فَضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَيْهَاتَ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا فَعَلَتْ بُحَيْرَةُ طَبَرِيَّةَ؟ قَالُوا تَدَفَّقُ جَوَانِبُهَا يَصْدُرُ مَنْ أَتَاهَا فَضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَيْهَاتَ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا فَعَلَتْ عَيْنُ زُغَرَ؟ قَالُوا تَدَفَّقُ جَوَانِبُهَا يَصْدُرُ مَنْ أَتَاهَا قَالَ فَضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَيْهَاتَ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا فَعَلَ نَخْلُ بَيْسَانَ؟ قَالُوا يُؤْتِي جَنَاهُ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ قَالَ فَضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَيْهَاتَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَمَا إِنِّي لَوْ قَدْ حُلِلْتُ مِنْ وَثَاقِي هَذَا لَمْ يَبْقَ مَنْهَلٌ إِلَّا وَطِئْتُهُ إِلَّا مَكَّةَ وَطَيْبَةَ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لِي عَلَيْهِمَا سَبِيلٌ» فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «هَذِهِ طَيْبَةُ حَرَّمْتُهَا كَمَا حَرَّمَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مَكَّةَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا فِيهَا نَقْبٌ فِي سَهْلٍ وَلَا جَبَلٍ إِلَّا وَعَلَيْهِ مَلَكَانِ شَاهِرَا السَّيْفِ يَمْنَعَانِ الدَّجَّالَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ came hastily one day and ascended the pulpit. He announced to the people to gather for the congregational prayer, so the people gathered. He said, "O people, I did not invite you out of desire or fear, but Tamim Ad-Dari informed me that some people from the people of Palestine took a boat and were cast by the wind onto an island from the islands of the sea. There, they found a creature, neither male nor female, from the abundance of hair. They asked, 'Who are you?' It said, 'I am Al-Jassasah.' They asked, 'Inform us.' It said, 'I am not a informer or a seeker of information from you, but there is someone here who is poor and wants to inform you and ask you.' So, they went to a monastery and found a man, heavily chained with iron. They asked, 'Who are you?' He said, 'We are the Arabs.' They asked, 'Has the Prophet been sent among you?' They replied, 'Yes.' He asked, 'Have the Arabs obeyed him?' They replied, 'Yes.' He said, 'That is good for them.' He asked, 'What did Persia do?' They replied, 'It has declined.' He said, 'Has Byzantium been defeated?' They replied, 'It has not been defeated.' He said, 'It will soon be defeated until it is humiliated.' He asked, 'What did `Ubaydullah do?' They replied, 'He is a righteous man.' He said, 'What did a Dabbah (wild animal) do?' They replied, 'Its qualities appeared, so we feared that it might overpower us.' He asked, 'What did the date-palm tree of Bisan (Palestine) do?' They replied, 'It irrigated the first.' He said, 'Then it will remain like that.' He asked, 'Who are you?' They said, 'We are the Muslims.' He said, 'Give the good news to the Muslim community that this is Taibah (Madinah) which no one can enter except a believer.'  

ابن حبّان:٦٧٨٩أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ جَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ مُسْرِعًا فَصَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ فَنُودِيَ فِي النَّاسِ الصَّلَاةُ جَامِعَةً فَاجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ فَقَالَ «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي لَمْ أَدْعُكُمْ لِرَغْبَةٍ وَلَا لِرَهْبَةٍ نَزَلَتْ وَلَكِنَّ تَمِيمًا الدَّارِيَّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ أَهْلِ فِلَسْطِينَ رَكِبُوا الْبَحْرَ فَقَذَفَتْهُمُ الرِّيحُ إِلَى جَزِيرَةٍ مِنْ جَزَائِرِ الْبَحْرِ فَإِذَا هُمْ بِدَابَّةٍ لَا يُدْرَى أَذَكَرٌ هُوَ أَمْ أُنْثَى مِنْ كَثْرَةِ الشَّعْرِ فَقَالُوا مَنْ أَنْتِ؟ قَالَتْ أَنَا الْجَسَّاسَةُ قَالُوا أَخْبِرِينَا؟ قَالَتْ مَا أَنَا بِمُخْبِرَتِكُمْ وَلَا مُسْتَخْبِرَتِكُمْ وَلَكِنَّ هَاهُنَا مَنْ هُوَ فَقِيرٌ إِلَى أَنْ يُخْبِرَكُمْ وَإِلَى أَنْ يَسْتَخْبِرَكُمْ فَأَتَوَا الدَّيْرَ فَإِذَا بِرَجُلٍ مَرِيرٍ مُصَفَّدٍ بِالْحَدِيدِ فَقَالَ مَنْ أَنْتُمْ؟ قَالُوا نَحْنُ الْعَرَبُ قَالَ هَلْ بُعِثَ النَّبِيُّ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ فَهَلْ تَبِعَتْهُ الْعَرَبُ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ قَالَ مَا فَعَلَتْ فَارِسُ؟ قَالُوا لَمْ يَظْهَرْ عَلَيْهَا قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ سَيَظْهَرُ عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا فَعَلَتْ عَيْنُ زُغَرَ؟ قَالُوا تَدَفَّقُ مَلْأَى قَالَ فَمَا فَعَلَ نَخْلُ بَيْسَانَ؟ قَالُوا قَدْ أَطْعَمَ أَوَائِلُهُ فَوَثَبَ عَلَيْهِ وَثْبَةً حَتَّى خَشِينَا أَنْ سَيَغْلِبَ فَقُلْنَا مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ أَنَا الدَّجَّالُ أَمَا إِنِّي سَأَطَأُ الْأَرْضَ كُلَّهَا إِلَّا مَكَّةَ وَطَيْبَةَ» فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَبْشِرُوا مَعْشَرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ هَذِهِ طَيْبَةُ لَا يَدْخُلُهَا»  

58.11 [Machine] The news of what will happen in his nation of tribulations and incidents

٥٨۔١١ بَابُ إِخْبَارِهِ ﷺ عَمَّا يَكُونُ فِي أُمَّتِهِ مِنَ الْفِتَنِ وَالْحَوَادِثِ

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَمَّا يَجِبُ عَلَى الْمَرْءِ مِنَ الْمُبَادَرَةِ بِالْأَعْمَالِ الصَّالِحَةِ قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ الْمَسِيحِ نَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْهُ

Hasten in performing these good deeds (before these) six things (happen): (the appearance) of the Dajjal, the smoke, the beast of the earth, the rising of the sun from the west, the general turmoil (leading to large-scale massacre) and death of masses and individuals. عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «بَادِرُوا بِالْعَمَلِ سِتًّا الدَّجَّالَ وَالدُّخَانَ وَدَابَّةَ الْأَرْضِ وَطُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا وَأَمْرَ الْعَامَّةِ وَخُوَيْصَّةَ أَحَدِكُمْ»  

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ هَذَا الْعَدَدَ الْمَذْكُورَ لِلْأَشْيَاءِ الْمُتَوَقَّعَةِ قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ الْمَسِيحِ لَيْسَ بِعَدَدٍ لَمْ يُرِدْ بِهِ النَّفْيَ عَمَّا وَرَاءَهُ

[Machine] While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in a room, and we were underneath it, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ approached us and said, "What are you discussing?" We said, "We are mentioning the Hour." He said, "The Hour will not come until there are ten signs: The rising of the sun from its place of setting, the emergence of the Antichrist, the smoke, the descent of Jesus son of Mary, the Beast, the coming out of Yajuj and Majuj, the sinking of the East, the sinking of the West, the sinking of the Arabian Peninsula, and a fire that will emerge from a certain place." He said, "I consider it will be heavy for them when they say it, and it will come down with them from where they descend."

بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي غُرْفَةٍ وَنَحْنُ تَحْتَهَا إِذْ أَشْرَفَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَا تَتَذَاكَرُونَ؟ » قُلْنَا نَذَكْرُ السَّاعَةَ قَالَ «فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَكُونُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا عَشَرُ آيَاتٍ طُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا وَالدَّجَّالُ وَالدُّخَانُ وَعِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَالدَّابَّةُ وَخُرُوجُ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ وَخَسْفٌ بِالْمَشْرِقِ وَخَسْفٌ بِالْمَغْرِبِ وَخَسْفٌ بِجَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ وَنَارٌ تَخْرُجُ مِنْ مَوْضِعِ كَذَا»؟ قَالَ أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ «تَقِيلُ مَعَهُمْ حَيْثُ قَالُوا وَتَنْزِلُ مَعَهُمْ حَيْثُ يَنْزِلُونَ»

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ who said, "The Dajjal (the False Messiah) will emerge from this direction," while he pointed towards the east.

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنِ السَّبَبِ الَّذِي يَكُونُ خُرُوجُ الْمَسِيحِ بِهِ

May Allah have mercy upon you, why did you incite Ibn Sayyad in spite of the fact that you knew it would be the extreme anger which would make Dajjal appear in the world? (Using translation from Muslim 2932a)

سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّمَا يَخْرُجُ الدَّجَّالُ مِنْ غَضْبَةٍ يَغْضَبُهَا»

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "The Dajjal's eye is green like a glass bottle, and seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of the grave."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «الدَّجَّالُ عَيْنُهُ خَضْرَاءُ كَزُجَاجَةٍ وَتَعَوَّذُوا بِاللَّهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ»

[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ mentioning the Dajjal, he said, "He is a blind devil and his right eye is bulging out like a grape. It looks like his head is tied to his neck and he resembles the most in appearance to 'Abdul 'Uzza bin Qatan. If he comes and I am still among you, I will contend with him myself. But if he comes and I am not alive, then your Lord is not one-eyed."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ ذَكَرَ الدَّجَّالَ فَقَالَ «أَعْوَرُ هِجَانٌ أَزْهَرُ كَأَنَّ رَأْسَهُ أَصَلَةٌ أَشْبَهُ النَّاسِ بِعَبْدِ الْعُزَّى بْنِ قَطَنٍ فَإِنْ هَلَكَ الْهُلَّكُ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ»

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: The people would run away from the Dajjal seeking shelter in the mountains. She said: Where would be the Arabs then in that day? He said: They would be small in number. (Using translation from Muslim 2945a)

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَيَفِرَّنَّ النَّاسُ مِنَ الدَّجَّالِ فِي الْجِبَالِ» قَالَتْ أُمُّ شَرِيكٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَأَيْنَ الْعَرَبُ يَوْمَئِذٍ؟ قَالَ «هُمْ قَلِيلٌ»

I know best what the Dajjal (Antichrist) will have with him. He will have with him a sea of water and a river of fire, and what you see as fire will be water and what you sea as water will be fire. If any of you who lives up to that time and desires water, he should drink from what he sees as fire, for he will find it water. Abu Mas’ud al-Badri said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say in this way. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4315)

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have heard that with the Dajjal, there will be mountains of bread and flowing rivers of water." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "That is easier for Allah than that." Al-Mughirah said, "So I was one of the people who asked about it the most, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, 'It is not what harms you.'"

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنِ الْبَعْضِ الْآخَرِ مِنَ الْفِتَنِ الَّتِي تَكُونُ مَعَ الدَّجَّالِ

He would come but would not be allowed to enter the mountain passes to Medina. So he will alight at some of the barren tracts near Medina, and a person who would be the best of men or one from amongst the best of men would say to him: I bear testimony to the fact that you are Dajjal about whom Messenger of Allah ﷺ had informed us. The Dajjal would say: What is your opinion if I kill this (person), then I bring him back to life; even then will you harbour doubt in this matter? They would say: No. He would then kill (the man) and then bring him back to life. When he would bring that person to life, he would say: By Allah, I had no better proof of the fact (that you are a Dajjal) than at the present time (that you are actually so). The Dajjal would then make an attempt to kill him (again) but he would not be able to do that. Abu Ishaq reported that it was said: That person would be Khadir (Allah be pleased with him). قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدَّجَّالِ فَقَالَ فِيمَا حَدَّثَنَا «يَأْتِي الدَّجَّالُ وَهُوَ مُحَرَّمٌ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ أَنْقَابَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَيَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَوْ مِنْ خَيْرِهِمْ فَيَقُولُ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ الدَّجَّالُ الَّذِي حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَدِيثَهُ» فَيَقُولُ الدَّجَّالُ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ قَتَلْتُ هَذَا ثُمَّ أَحْيَيْتُهُ أَتَشُكُّونَ فِي الْأَمْرِ؟ فَيَقُولُونَ لَا فَيُسَلَّطُ عَلَيْهِ فَيَقْتُلُهُ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيهِ فَيَقُولُ حِينَ يَحْيَى وَاللَّهِ مَا كُنْتُ بِأَشَدَّ بَصِيرَةً فِيكَ مِنِّي الْآنَ فَيُرِيدُ قَتْلَهُ الثَّانِيَةَ فَلَا يُسَلَّطُ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ مُعْمَرٌ يَرَوْنَ أَنَّ هَذَا الرَّجُلَ الَّذِي يَقْتُلُهُ الدَّجَّالُ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيهِ الْخَضِرُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «كَيْفَ أَنْتُمْ إِذَا نَزَلَ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ فِيكُمْ وَإِمَامُكُمْ مِنْكُمْ»

There will be no land which would not be covered by the Dajjal but Mecca and Medina, and there would no passage out of the passages leading to them which would not be guarded by angels arranged in rows. Then he (the Dajjal) would appear in a barren place adjacent to Medina and it would rock three times that every unbeliever and hypocrite would get out of it towards him. [Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The Antichrist will come to Medina, but he will find angels guarding it, so he will not be able to enter it. Neither will the plague, if Allah wills."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْمَدِينَةُ يَأْتِيهَا الدَّجَّالُ فَيَجِدُ الْمَلَائِكَةَ يَحْرُسُونَهَا فَلَا يَدْخُلُهَا الدَّجَّالُ وَلَا الطَّاعُونُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The terror caused by Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal will not enter Medina and at that time Medina will have seven gates and there will be two angels at each gate guarding them." (Using translation from Bukhārī 1879)

The Jews will fight against you and you will gain victory over them until the stone would say: Muslim, here is a Jew behind me; kill him. (Using translation from Muslim 2921d)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «تُقَاتِلُكُمُ الْيَهُودُ فَتَظْهَرُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَتَّى يَقُولَ الْحَجَرُ يَا مُسْلِمُ هَذَا يَهُودِيٌّ وَرَائِي فَاقْتُلْهُ»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنِ الْعَلَامَةِ الَّتِي بِهَا يُعْرَفُ نَجَاةُ الْمَرْءِ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ

[Machine] We were with the Prophet ﷺ when he mentioned the Antichrist (Dajjal). He said, "The trial of some of you is more fearful to me than the trial of the Antichrist. Indeed, it is not a small or big trial, except that it takes a humble position compared to the trial of the Antichrist. Whoever survives the trial before it will also survive it. It will not harm a Muslim, as it is written between its eyes, 'Disbeliever.' It will be clear to believers whether they can read or not."

كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الدَّجَّالَ فَقَالَ «لَفِتْنَةُ بَعْضِكُمْ أَخْوَفُ عِنْدِي مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ مِنْ فِتْنَةٍ صَغِيرَةٍ وَلَا كَبِيرَةٍ إِلَّا تَتَّضِعُ لِفِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ فَمَنْ نَجَا مِنْ فِتْنَةِ مَا قَبْلَهَا نَجَا مِنْهَا وَإِنَّهُ لَا يَضُرُّ مُسْلِمًا مَكْتُوبٌ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ كَافِرٌ مُهَجَّاةٌ كَ فَ رَ»

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ فَتْحِ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَعَلَا عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ عِنْدَ قِتَالِهِمُ الدَّجَّالَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You will fight the Arabian Peninsula and Allah will grant it to you, then you will fight Persia and Allah will grant it to you, and then you will fight the False Messiah (Dajjal) and Allah will grant him to you."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨٠٩أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْدُونَ بْنِ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «تُقَاتِلُونَ جَزِيرَةَ الْعَرَبِ فَيَفْتَحُهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَتُقَاتِلُونَ فَارِسَ فَيَفْتَحُهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ ثُمَّ تُقَاتِلُونَ الدَّجَّالَ فَيَفْتَحُهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنِ الْبَلَدِ الَّذِي يُهْلِكُ اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَعَلَا الدَّجَّالَ بِهِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The Messiah will come from the direction of the East, and his destination will be the city of Madinah, where he will descend near Mount Uhud. Then he will proceed towards Sham (Syria) and there he will perish."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨١٠أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «يَأْتِي الْمَسِيحُ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ وَهِمَّتُهُ الْمَدِينَةَ حَتَّى يَنْزِلَ عِنْدَ أُحُدٍ ثُمَّ يَغْدُو قِبَلَ الشَّامِ وَهُنَاكَ يَهْلِكُ»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ قَاتِلِ الْمَسِيحِ وَوَصْفِ الْمَوْضِعِ الَّذِي يَقْتُلُهُ فِيهِ

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying, "The son of Mary will kill the Dajjal (the Antichrist) at the gate of Ludd."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨١١أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ ثَعْلَبَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ مِنْ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمِّي مُجَمِّعَ بْنَ جَارِيَةَ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَقْتُلُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ الدَّجَّالَ بِبَابِ لُدٍّ»  

ذِكْرُ قَدْرِ مُكْثِ الدَّجَّالِ فِي الْأَرْضِ عِنْدَ خُرُوجِهِ مِنْ وَثَاقِهِ

[Machine] I heard from the truthful and trustworthy Messenger of Allah, may ﷺ , who narrated to us that the Apostle of Allah, Abu Al-Qasim, the truthful and trustworthy one, said: "Verily, the one-eyed Antichrist (Dajjal) comes out from the east at a time of disagreement among people and division, until he reaches whatever Allah wills on the earth in forty days. Allah knows best the extent of this distance; Allah knows best the extent of it, twice. Then, Allah will send down Jesus, the son of Mary, who will lead them in prayer. When he raises his head from the bowing position, he will say, ‘Allah has heard the one who praised Him. Allah has killed the Antichrist and brought forth the believers.'"

سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ الصَّادِقِ الْمَصْدُوقِ حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الصَّادِقُ الْمَصْدُوقُ «إِنَّ الْأَعْوَرَ الدَّجَّالَ مَسِيحَ الضَّلَالَةِ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ فِي زَمَانِ اخْتِلَافٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَفُرْقَةٍ فَيَبْلُغُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ فِي أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ مَا مِقْدَارُهَا اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ مَا مِقْدَارُهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ وَيُنَزِّلُ اللَّهُ عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ فَيَؤُمُّهُمْ فَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرَّكْعَةِ قَالَ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ قَتَلَ اللَّهُ الدَّجَّالَ وَأَظْهَرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ»  

ذِكْرُ ذَوَبَانِ الدَّجَّالِ عِنْدَ رُؤْيَتِهِ عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ قَبْلَ قَتْلِهِ إِيَّاهُ

The Last Hour would not come until the Romans would land at al-A'maq or in Dabiq. An army consisting of the best (soldiers) of the people of the earth at that time will come from Medina (to counteract them). When they will arrange themselves in ranks, the Romans would say: Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took prisoners from amongst us. Let us fight with them; and the Muslims would say: Nay, by Allah, we would never get aside from you and from our brethren that you may fight them. They will then fight and a third (part) of the army would run away, whom Allah will never forgive. A third (part of the army) which would be constituted of excellent martyrs in Allah's eye, would be killed and the third who would never be put to trial would win and they would be conquerors of Constantinople. And as they would be busy in distributing the spoils of war (amongst themselves) after hanging their swords by the olive trees, the Satan would cry: The Dajjal has taken your place among your family. They would then come out, but it would be of no avail. And when they would come to Syria, he would come out while they would be still preparing themselves for battle drawing up the ranks. Certainly, the time of prayer shall come and then Jesus (peace be upon him) son of Mary would descend and would lead them. When the enemy of Allah would see him, it would (disappear) just as the salt dissolves itself in water and if he (Jesus) were not to confront them at all, even then it would dissolve completely, but Allah would kill them by his hand and he would show them their blood on his lance (the lance of Jesus Christ). أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تَنْزِلَ الرُّومُ بِالْأَعْمَاقِ أَوْ بِدَابِقَ فَيَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِمْ جَيْشٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ هُمْ خِيَارُ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَإِذَا تَصَافُّوا قَالَتِ الرُّومُ خَلُّوا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ الَّذِينَ سَبَوْا مِنَّا نُقَاتِلْهُمْ فَيَقُولُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ لَا وَاللَّهِ لَا نُخَلِّي بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَ إِخْوَانِنَا فَيُقَاتِلُونَهُمْ فَيَنْهَزِمُ ثُلُثٌ لَا يَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَبَدًا ثُمَّ يُقْتَلُ ثُلُثُهُمْ وَهُمْ أَفْضَلُ الشُّهَدَاءِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَيَفْتَتِحُ ثُلُثٌ فَيَفْتَتِحُونَ الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةَ فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ يَقْسِمُونَ الْغَنَائِمَ قَدْ عَلَّقُوا سُيُوفَهُمْ بِالزَّيْتُونِ إِذْ صَاحَ فِيهِمُ الشَّيْطَانُ إِنَّ الْمَسِيحَ قَدْ خَلَفَكُمْ فِي أَهْالِيكُمْ فَيَخْرُجُونَ وَذَلِكَ بَاطِلٌ فَإِذَا جَاؤُوا الشَّامَ خَرَجَ يَعْنِي الدَّجَّالَ فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ يُعِدُّونَ لِلْقِتَالِ وَيُسَوُّونَ الصُّفُوفَ إِذْ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَيَنْزِلُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ فَإِذَا رَآهُ عَدُوُّ اللَّهِ يَذُوبُ كَمَا يَذُوبُ الْمِلْحُ وَلَوْ تَرَكُوهُ لَذَابَ حَتَّى يَهْلِكَ وَلَكِنَّهُ يَقْتُلُهُ اللَّهُ بِيَدِهِ فَيُرِيهِمْ دَمَهُ بِحَرْبَتِهِ»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ وَصْفِ الْأَمْنِ الَّذِي يَكُونُ فِي النَّاسِ بَعْدَ قَتْلِ ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ الدَّجَّالَ

[Machine] Narrated by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said, "The prophets are like brothers from different mothers, and their religions may vary. But I am the closest among all people to Jesus, the son of Mary, and indeed, he will descend. So recognize him, for he is a man with fair complexion, as if his head drips water. Even though he does not have any ailment, he will eradicate the cross, kill the swine, distribute wealth, abolish the Jizyah (tax), and in his time, Allah will destroy all faiths except Islam. Allah will destroy the misguided, blind, deceitful Messiah, and He will cause trustworthiness to prevail until lions will graze with camels, tigers with cattle, and wolves with sheep. Children will play with snakes without harm."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨١٤أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ آدَمَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْأَنْبِيَاءُ إِخْوَةٌ لِعَلَّاتٍ وَأُمَّهَاتُهُمْ شَتَّى وَأَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ وَإِنَّهُ نَازِلٌ فَاعْرِفُوهُ فَإِنَّهُ رَجُلٌ يَنْزِعُ إِلَى الْحُمْرَةِ وَالْبَيَاضِ كَأَنَّ رَأْسَهُ يَقْطُرُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِبْهُ بِلَّةٌ وَإِنَّهُ يَدُقُّ الصَّلِيبَ وَيَقْتُلُ الْخِنْزِيرَ وَيُفِيضُ الْمَالَ وَيَضَعُ الْجِزْيَةَ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَهْلِكُ فِي زَمَانِهِ الْمِلَلَ كُلَّهَا غَيْرَ الْإِسْلَامِ وَيَهْلِكُ اللَّهُ الْمَسِيحَ الضَّالَّ الْأَعْوَرَ الْكَذَّابَ وَيُلْقِي اللَّهُ الْأَمَنَةَ حَتَّى يَرْعَى الْأَسَدُ مَعَ الْإِبِلِ وَالنَّمِرُ مَعَ الْبَقَرِ وَالذِّئَابُ مَعَ الْغَنَمِ وَيَلْعَبُ الصِّبْيَانُ مَعَ الْحَيَّاتِ لَا يَضُرُّ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ بِمَنْ نَجَّاهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ

[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : "Indeed, Jesus, the son of Mary, will come to a nation whom Allah has protected from the Antichrist. He will wipe their faces and foreheads with their own virtues in Paradise."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨١٥أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ فَيَّاضٍ بِدِمَشْقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جَابِرٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَابِرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوَّاسِ بْنِ سَمْعَانَ

عَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَنَّ عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ يَأْتِي قَوْمًا قَدْ عَصَمَهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنَ الدَّجَّالِ فَيَمْسَحُ وُجُوهَهُمْ بِدَرَجَاتِهِمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ رَفْعِ التَّبَاغُضِ وَالتَّحَاسُدِ وَالشَّحْنَاءِ عِنْدَ نُزُولِ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The son of Mary will descend as a just ruler and will break the cross, kill the swine, abolish the jizyah (tax on non-Muslims) and no one will be obligated to pay it. The sparrows will be left alone and no one will hunt them. Enmity, hatred, and jealousy will disappear, and people will be called to wealth but no one will accept it."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨١٦أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَنْقَزِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ مِينَاءَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَيَنْزِلَنَّ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ حَكَمًا عَادِلًا فَيَكْسِرُ الصَّلِيبَ وَيَقْتُلُ الْخِنْزِيرَ وَلَيَضَعَنَّ الْجِزْيَةَ وَلَتُتْرَكَنَّ الْقِلَاصُ فَلَا يُسْعَى عَلَيْهَا وَلَتَذْهَبَنَّ الشَّحْنَاءُ وَالتَّبَاغُضُ وَالتَّحَاسُدُ وَلَيَدْعُوَنَّ إِلَى الْمَالِ فَلَا يَقْبَلُهُ أَحَدٌ»  

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ نُزُولَ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ مِنْ أَعْلَامِ السَّاعَةِ

[Machine] Regarding the Prophet's statement about the verse "And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the knowledge of the Hour," he said, "The descent of Jesus, the son of Mary, will occur before the Day of Judgment."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨١٧أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْخَلِيلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَفْرَاءَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي قَوْلِهِ {وَإِنَّهُ لَعِلْمٌ لِلسَّاعَةِ} قَالَ «نُزُولُ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ مِنْ قَبْلِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ»  

ذِكْرُ خَبَرٍ قَدْ يُوهِمُ مَنْ لَمْ يُحْكِمْ صِنَاعَةَ الْحَدِيثِ أَنَّ خَبَرَ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الَّذِي ذَكَرْنَاهُ وَهْمٌ

"By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! Ibn Mariam shall soon descend among you, judging justly. He shall break the cross, kill the pig, remove the Jizyah, and wealth will be so bountiful that there will be none to accept it." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2233)  

ابن حبّان:٦٨١٨أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَيُوشِكَنَّ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ فِيكُمُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ حَكَمًا مُقْسِطًا يَكْسِرُ الصَّلِيبَ وَيَقْتُلُ الْخِنْزِيرَ وَيَضَعُ الْجِزْيَةَ وَيُفِيضُ الْمَالَ حَتَّى لَا يَقْبَلُهُ أَحَدٌ»  

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ إِمَامَ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ عِنْدَ نُزُولِ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ يَكُونُ مِنْهُمْ دُونَ أَنْ يَكُونَ عِيسَى إِمَامُهُمْ فِي ذَلِكَ الزَّمَانِ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: A section of my people will not cease fighting for the Truth and will prevail till the Day of Resurrection. He said: Jesus son of Mary would then descend and their (Muslims') commander would invite him to come and lead them in prayer, but he would say: No, some amongst you are commanders over some (amongst you). This is the honour from Allah for this Ummah. (Using translation from Muslim 156)  

ابن حبّان:٦٨١٩أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يُقَاتِلُونَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ ظَاهِرِينَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَيَنْزِلُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ فَيَقُولُ أَمِيرُهُمْ تَعَالَ صَلِّ لَنَا فَيَقُولُ لَا إِنَّ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ أُمَرَاءُ لِتَكْرِمَةِ اللَّهِ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةَ»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ بِأَنَّ عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ يَحُجُّ الْبَيْتَ الْعَتِيقَ بَعْدَ قَتْلِهِ الدَّجَّالَ

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "The son of Mary will definitely appear at the valley of Rauha as a Hajj or Umrah performer, or he will endorse them both."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَيُهِلَّنَّ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ بِفَجِّ الرَّوْحَاءِ حَاجًّا أَوْ مُعْتَمِرًا أَوْ لَيُثَنِّيَنَّهُمَا»  

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ إِذَا نَزَلَ يُقَاتِلُ النَّاسَ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "All the prophets are brothers; their mothers are different, but their religion is one. And I am the closest of people to Jesus son of Mary, for there is no prophet between me and him. He will descend, so when you see him, recognize him: a man of medium height, with reddish-white complexion, wearing two garments, and his head seeming as if it is dripping water, even though it will not be wet. He will fight the people for the sake of Islam, break the cross, kill the swine, abolish the jizyah (tax), and Allah will destroy all religions except Islam during his time. He will kill the False Messiah (Dajjal), and peace and security will prevail on Earth, to the extent that lions will graze with camels, tigers with cows, and wolves with sheep. And young children will play with snakes without them harming anyone. He will stay on Earth for forty years, then he will pass away, and the Muslims will offer funeral prayer for him with the prayers of Allah upon him."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨٢١أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ آدَمَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْأَنْبِيَاءُ كُلُّهُمْ إِخْوَةٌ لِعَلَّاتٍ أُمَّهَاتُهُمْ شَتَّى وَدِينُهُمْ وَاحِدٌ وَأَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ نَبِيٌّ وَإِنَّهُ نَازِلٌ إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ فَاعْرِفُوهُ رَجُلٌ مَرْبُوعٌ إِلَى الْحُمْرَةِ وَالْبَيَاضِ بَيْنَ مُمَصَّرَيْنِ كَأَنَّ رَأْسَهُ يَقْطُرُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِبْهُ بَلَلٌ فَيُقَاتِلُ النَّاسَ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَيَدُقُّ الصَّلِيبَ وَيَقْتُلُ الْخِنْزِيرَ وَيَضَعُ الْجِزْيَةَ وَيُهْلِكُ اللَّهُ فِي زَمَانِهِ الْمِلَلَ كُلَّهَا إِلَّا الْإِسْلَامَ وَيُهْلِكُ الْمَسِيحَ الدَّجَّالَ وَتَقَعُ الْأَمَنَةُ فِي الْأَرْضِ حَتَّى تَرْتَعَ الْأُسْدُ مَعَ الْإِبِلِ وَالنِّمَارُ مَعَ الْبَقَرِ وَالذِّئَابُ مَعَ الْغَنَمِ وَيَلْعَبَ الصِّبْيَانُ بِالْحَيَّاتِ لَا تَضُرُّهُمْ فَيَمْكُثُ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً ثُمَّ يُتَوَفَّى فَيُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ الْمُسْلِمُونَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ قَدْرِ مُكْثِ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ فِي النَّاسِ بَعْدَ قَتْلِهِ الدَّجَّالَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me while I was crying and said, "What is making you cry?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, you mentioned the Dajjal (the Antichrist)." He said, "Do not cry, for if he comes out and I am still alive, I will protect you from him. And if I die, then indeed your Lord is not blind to see him, and he will come out accompanied by the Jews, advancing until he reaches the outskirts of Medina. At that time, Medina will have seven gates, and each gate will be guarded by two angels. The wicked people of Medina will come out towards him, but then Jesus, son of Mary, will descend and kill him. Jesus will remain on earth for forty years, or close to forty years, as an upright and just leader."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨٢٢أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ السِّخْتِيَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ* قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَشْيَبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنِ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ بْنِ لَاحِقٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا أَبْكِي فَقَالَ «مَا يُبْكِيكِ»؟ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ذَكَرْتَ الدَّجَّالَ قَالَ «فَلَا تَبْكِينَ فَإِنْ يَخْرُجْ وَأَنَا حَيٌّ أَكْفِيكُمُوهُ وَإِنْ مُتُّ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ وَإِنَّهُ يَخْرُجُ مَعَهُ الْيَهُودُ فَيَسِيرُ حَتَّى يَنْزِلَ بِنَاحِيَةِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَهَا سَبْعَةُ أَبْوَابٍ عَلَى كُلِّ بَابٍ مَلَكَانِ فَيَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ شِرَارُ أَهْلِهَا فَيَنْطَلِقُ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ لُدَّ فَيَنْزِلَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ فَيَقْتُلُهُ ثُمَّ يَلْبَثُ عِيسَى فِي الْأَرْضِ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً أَوْ قَرِيبًا مِنْ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً إِمَامًا عَدْلًا وَحَكَمًا مُقْسِطًا»  

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ خُرُوجَ الْمَهْدِيِّ إِنَّمَا يَكُونُ بَعْدَ ظُهُورِ الظُّلْمِ وَالْجَوْرِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَغَلَبِهِمَا عَلَى الْحَقِّ وَالْجِدِّ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The Hour will not be established until the earth is filled with oppression and wrongdoing. Then a man from my household or my family will emerge and fill it with justice and fairness, just as it was filled with oppression and wrongdoing."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تَمْتَلِئَ الْأَرْضُ ظُلْمًا وَعُدْوَانًا ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي أَوْ عِتْرَتِي فَيَمْلَؤُهَا قِسْطًا وَعَدْلًا كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْمًا وَعُدْوَانًا»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ وَصْفِ اسْمِ الْمَهْدِيِّ وَاسْمِ أَبِيهِ ضِدَّ قَوْلِ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ الْمَهْدِيَّ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Hour will not come until a man from my Ahlul-Bayt (family) rules, and his name matches my name and his father's name matches my father's name, and he fills the earth with justice and fairness."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ النَّاسَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي وَاسْمُ أَبِيهِ اسْمَ أَبِي فَيَمْلَؤُهَا قِسْطًا وَعَدْلًا»  

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ الْمَهْدِيَّ يُشْبِهُ خَلْقُهُ خَلْقَ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "A man will emerge from my nation whose name matches my name and whose character resembles mine. He will fill the earth with justice and fairness, just as it was filled with oppression and injustice."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «يَخْرُجُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي وَخُلُقُهُ خُلُقِي فَيَمْلَؤُهَا قِسْطًا وَعَدْلًا كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْمًا وَجَوْرًا»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The Hour will not be established until a man from my household rules over the people, filling the earth with justice as it was filled with oppression before him, ruling for seven years."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨٢٦أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ بِالْبَصْرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مَطَرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ عَنْ أَبِي الصِّدِّيقِ النَّاجِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي أَقْنَى يَمْلَأُ الْأَرْضَ عَدْلًا كَمَا مُلِئَتْ قَبْلَهُ ظُلْمًا يَمْلِكُ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «يُبَايَعُ لِرَجُلٍ بَيْنَ الرُّكْنِ وَالْمَقَامِ وَلَنْ يَسْتَحِلَّ هَذَا الْبَيْتَ إِلَّا أَهْلُهُ فَإِذَا اسْتَحَلُّوهُ فَلَا تَسَلْ عَنْ هَلَكَةِ الْعَرَبِ ثُمَّ تَظْهَرُ الْحَبَشَةُ فَيُخَرِّبُونَهُ خَرَابًا لَا يَعْمُرُ بَعْدَهُ أَبَدًا وَهُمُ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَخْرِجُونَ كَنْزَهُ»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ كَثْرَةِ خَلْقِ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَعَلَا النَّسْلَ مِنْ أَوْلَادِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily, Ya'juj and Ma'juj are the least of them who leave offspring behind, with each one of them having a thousand, and indeed there are three nations behind them: Misq, Ta'wil, and Taris, and no one knows their number except Allah."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨٢٨أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَهْبِ بْنِ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ الْأَوْدِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ أَقَلُّ مَا يَتْرُكُ أَحَدُهُمْ لِصُلْبِهِ أَلْفًا مِنَ الذُّرِّيَّةِ وَإِنَّ مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ أُمَمًا ثَلَاثَةً مِنْسَكٌ وَتَأْوِيلٌ وَتَارِيسٌ لَا يَعْلَمُ عَدَدَهُمْ إِلَّا اللَّهُ»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ بِأَنَّ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مُحَاصَرُونَ إِلَى وَقْتِ يَأْذَنُ اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَعَلَا بِخُرُوجِهِمْ

[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said: "They would dig every day until they could almost see the rays of the sun, and they would say, 'Let us return to it tomorrow.' They would return and the hole would be even deeper than before. When their time was about to end and Allah intended to send them upon the people, they said, 'Let us return to it tomorrow if Allah wills.' They would return to it and find it just as they left it, so they would dig it and emerge upon the people." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The people would flee from them to their fortresses."

عَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «يَحْفِرُونَ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ حَتَّى يَكَادُوا أَنْ يَرَوْا شُعَاعَ الشَّمْسِ فَيَقُولُونَ نَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِ غَدًا فَيَرْجِعُونَ وَهُوَ أَشَدُّ مَا كَانَ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَتْ مُدَّتُهُمْ وَأَرَادَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَبْعَثَهُمْ عَلَى النَّاسِ قَالُوا نَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِ غَدًا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ فَيَرْجِعُونَ إِلَيْهِ كَهَيْئَةِ مَا تَرَكُوهُ فَيَحْفِرُونَهُ فَيَخْرُجُونَ عَلَى النَّاسِ» فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «فَيَفِرُّ النَّاسُ مِنْهُمْ إِلَى حُصُونِهِمْ»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ وَصْفِ الْفِتْنَةِ الَّتِي يَبْتَلِي اللَّهُ عِبَادَهُ بِهَا عِنْدَ خُرُوجِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ

[Machine] I have heard the messenger of Allah, ﷺ , say, "Yajuj and Majuj will be released and they will emerge upon people as Allah has said, 'And they, from every elevated place, they will descend.' The Muslims will take shelter in their cities and fortresses, taking their livestock and drinking the water of the earth. Some of them will pass by a river and say, 'There used to be water here once.' When there is no one left except those in a fortress or city, it will be said, 'These are the people of the earth, we have gotten rid of them. Only the people of the sky remain.' One of them will shake his spear and throw it towards the sky, and it will return to them stained with blood, as a trial and tribulation. Meanwhile, Allah will send worms that will enter their necks, like the stifling of a locust. They will all perish until there will be no sound heard from them. The Muslims will say, 'Is there any man who can go and see what these enemies have done?' One man will go and investigate, considering himself already martyred. He will find them dead, some lying upon others, and he will call out, 'O Muslim people! Rejoice! Surely, Allah has already given you victory over your enemies!' They will then come out from their cities and fortresses and release their livestock."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨٣٠أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ثُمَّ الظَّفَرِيُّ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ أَحَدِ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «تُفْتَحُ يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ وَيَخْرُجُونَ عَلَى النَّاسِ كَمَا قَالَ اللَّهُ {وَهُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ حَدَبٍ يَنْسِلُونَ} وَيَنْحَازُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ عَنْهُمْ إِلَى مَدَائِنِهِمْ وَحُصُونِهِمْ وَيَضُمُّونَ إِلَيْهِمْ مَوَاشِيَهُمْ وَيَشْرَبُونَ مِيَاهَ الْأَرْضِ حَتَّى إِنَّ بَعْضَهُمْ لَيَمُرُّ بِذَلِكَ النَّهْرِ فَيَقُولُ قَدْ كَانَ هَاهُنَا مَاءٌ مَرَّةً حَتَّى إِذَا لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ النَّاسِ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا فِي حِصْنٍ أَوْ مَدِينَةٍ قَالَ قَائِلُهُمْ هَؤُلَاءِ أَهْلُ الْأَرْضِ قَدْ فَرَغْنَا مِنْهُمْ بَقِيَ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ قَالَ ثُمَّ يَهُزُّ أَحَدُهُمْ حَرْبَتَهُ ثُمَّ يَرْمِي بِهَا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَتَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ مُخَضَّبَةً دَمًا لِلْبَلَاءِ وَالْفِتْنَةِ فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ يَبْعَثُ اللَّهُ دُودًا فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ كَنَغَفِ الْجَرَادِ الَّذِي يَخْرُجُ فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ فَيُصْبِحُونَ مَوْتَى حَتَّى لَا يُسْمَعَ لَهُمْ حِسٌّ فَيَقُولُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ أَلَا رَجُلٌ يَشْرِي لَنَا نَفْسَهُ فَيَنْظُرُ مَا فَعَلَ هَؤُلَاءِ الْعَدُوُّ فَيَتَجَرَّدُ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ لِذَلِكَ مُحْتَسِبًا لِنَفْسِهِ عَلَى أَنَّهُ مَقْتُولٌ فَيَجِدُهُمْ مَوْتَى بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ فَيُنَادِي يَا مَعْشَرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَلَا أَبْشِرُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ كَفَاكُمْ عَدُوَّكُمْ فَيَخْرُجُونَ عَنْ مَدَائِنِهِمْ وَحُصُونِهِمْ وَيُسَرِّحُونَ مَوَاشِيَهُمْ»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ بِأَنَّ رَدْمَ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ قَدْ فُتِحَ مِنْهُ الْآنَ الشَّيْءُ الْيَسِيرُ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ woke up red in the face and said: ‘La ilaha illallah, woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn nigh. Today a hole has been opened in the barrier of Gog and Magog.’ And he gestured to indicate the size of the hole.” Zainab said: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! Will we be destroyed when there are righteous people among us?’ He said: ‘If sin and evil deeds increase.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3953)   

ابن حبّان:٦٨٣١أَخْبَرَنَا حَامِدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ

قَالَتِ اسْتَيْقَظَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ» وَحَلَّقَ بِيَدِهِ عَشَرَةً قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَهْلِكُ وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ إِذَا كَثُرَ الْخَبَثُ»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ نَفْيِ انْقِطَاعِ الْحَجِّ بَعْدَ خُرُوجِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This house (referring to the Kaaba) will be visited for Hajj and Umrah even after the emergence of Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog)."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨٣٢أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ الْقَطَّانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي عُتْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَيُحَجَّنَّ هَذَا الْبَيْتَ وَلَيُعْتَمَرَنَّ بَعْدَ خُرُوجِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ»  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ تَتَابُعِ الْآيَاتِ وَتَوَاتُرِهَا إِذَا ظَهَرَتْ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَوَائِلُهَا

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The Qur'an's verses came down on each other in succession, just like beads on a string."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨٣٣أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «خُرُوجُ الْآيَاتِ بَعْضُهَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ تَتَابَعْنَ كَمَا تَتَتَابَعُ الْخَرَزُ»  

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ الْفِتَنَ إِذَا وَقَعَتْ وَالْآيَاتِ إِذَا ظَهَرَتْ كَانَ فِي خَلَلِهَا طَائِفَةٌ عَلَى الْحَقِّ أَبَدًا

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "There will always be a group of people from my nation who will be helped and protected by Allah. Those who betray them will not harm them until the Hour is established."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨٣٤أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ الْأَصْفَهَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِصَامِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِيَ يُحَدِّثُ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَزَالُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي مَنْصُورِينَ لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ مَنْ خَذَلَهُمْ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ»
