A band of rebels would kill ʿAmmar. (Using translation from Muslim 2916c)
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "There will come a people among you who will belittle your prayers compared to their prayers, and your fasting compared to their fasting, and your good deeds compared to their good deeds. They will recite the Quran, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will pass through the religion as the arrow passes through the target. Look at the arrowhead and you will see nothing, and look at the shaft and you will see nothing, and look at the feathers and you will see nothing, and examine the spine and you will see nothing, and examine your heart and you will find nothing."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily after me, there will be among my Ummah (nation) a group of people who recite the Quran but it will not go beyond their throats. They will leave the religion as an arrow leaves the bow, and they will not return to it. They are the worst of mankind and creatures."
When I mention a tradition to you from the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him), it is dearer to me that I fall from the heaven than I lie on him. But when I talk to you about matters between me and you, then war is a deception. I heard the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) say: Towards the end of the time there will be people who are young in age and from Islam as an arrow goes through the animal aimed at, and their faith will not pass their throats. Wherever you meet them kill them, for their killing will bring a reward for him who kills them on the day of Resurrection. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4767)
[Machine] "The Prophet of Allah ﷺ mentioned a group of people from his ummah who would emerge as a faction among the people. Their distinguishing characteristic is that they shave their heads. They are among the worst people or the most evil creatures. They will be killed by the closest two groups to the truth."
When we were in the company of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he was distributing the spoils of war, there came to him Dhul-Khuwasira, one of Banu Tamim. He said: Messenger of Allah, do justice. Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Woe be upon thee! Who would do justice, if I do not do justice? You would be unsuccessful and incurring a loss, if I do not do justice. Upon this Umar b. Khattab (Allah be pleased with him) said: Messenger of Allah, permit me to strike off his neck. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Leave him, for he has friends (who would outwardly look to be so religious and pious) that everyone among you would consider his prayer insignificant as compared with their prayer, and his fast as compared with their fasts. They would recite the Qur'an but it would not go beyond their collar-bones. They would pass through (the teachings of Islam so hurriedly) just as the arrow passes through the prey. He would look at its Iron head, but would not find anything ticking) there. He would then see at the lowest end, but would not find anything sticking there. He would then see at its grip but would not find anything sticking to it. He would then see at its feathers and he would find nothing sticking to them (as the arrow would pass so quickly that nothing would stick to it) neither excrement nor blood. They would be recognised by the presence of a black man among them whose upper arms would be like a woman's breast, or like a piece of meat as it quivers, and they would come forth at the time when there is dissension among the people. Abu Sai'd said: I testify to the fact that I heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I testify to the fact that 'Ali b. Abu Talib fought against them and I was with him. He gave orders about that man who was sought for, and when he was brought in, and when I looked at him, he was exactly as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had described him. (Using translation from Muslim 1064f)

The angel of Rain sought permission from Allah to visit the Prophet ﷺ and that was the day of Umm Salamah. The Prophet ﷺ said to Umm Salamah, "Guard the door for us so that no one should enter." Then when she was at the door, al-Ḥusayn b. ʿAlī came and pushed the door open forcefully. He entered and began to leap on the back of the Prophet ﷺ, and the Prophet lovingly hugged and kissed him. The angel asked him, "Do you love him?" He replied, "Yes." The angel said, 'However, your Ummah will kill him. If you wish, I can show you the place where he will be killed." He said, "Yes." So, the angel took a handful of ˹the soil from˺ the place where he will be killed and showed it to him; he brought him sandy or red soil. Umm Salamah took that soil and kept it in her garment.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight against the people of Khurasan and Kirman, a nation of non-Arabs, with red faces, snub noses, and small eyes, as if their faces were hammered shields."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Some of my people will alight on low-lying ground, which they will call al-Basrah, beside a river called the Tigris over which there is a bridge. Its people will be numerous and it will be one of the capital cities of immigrants (or one of the capital cities of Muslims, according to the version of Ibn Yahya who reported from Abu Ma'mar). At the end of time the descendants of Qantura' will come with broad faces and small eyes and alight on the bank of the river. The town's inhabitants will then separate into three sections, one of which will follow cattle and (live in) the desert and perish, another of which will seek security for themselves and perish, but a third will put their children behind their backs and fight the invaders, and they will be the martyrs. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4306)

He replied, "The earth will swallow the first and the last among them, and then they will be resurrected according to their intentions."

[Machine] I went with Abdullah ibn Safwan and Harith ibn Rabiah until we entered upon Umm Salamah. They said, "O Umm Salamah, will you not tell us about the earthquake that will happen to the people?" She said, "Yes, the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, 'One who seeks refuge in the house will be sent a messenger until they are in the open desert, and then they will be swallowed by it.'" People from Makkah will come to him and forcibly remove him, while he is reluctant. Then they will pledge allegiance to him between the corner of the Kaaba and the Station of Ibrahim. They will send an army from the people of Sham (Greater Syria) against him. When they reach the barren land, they will be swallowed by the earth. When the people learn about this, the people of Sham and a group from the people of Iraq will come to him and pledge allegiance to him. Then a man from the Quraysh, whose paternal relatives belong to the Kalb tribe, will send an army against them and defeat them. Then Islam will appear victorious and he will distribute among the people. He will remain for seven years."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ narrated to us two ahadith. I have seen one (crystallized into reality), and I am waiting for the other. He told us: Trustworthiness descended in the innermost (root) of the hearts of people. Then the Qur'an was revealed and they learnt from the Qur'an and they learnt from the Sunnah. Then he (the Holy Prophet) told us about the removal of trustworthiness. He said: The man would have a wink of sleep and trustworthiness would be taken away from his heart leaving the impression of a faint mark. He would again sleep and trustworthiness would be taken away from his heart leaving an impression of a blister, as if you rolled down an ember on your foot and it was vesicled. He would see a swelling having nothing in it. He (the Holy Prophet) then took up a pebble and rolled it down over his foot and (said): The people would enter into transactions amongst one another and hardly a person would be left who would return (things) entrusted to him. (And there would be so much paucity of honest persons) till it would be said: There in such a such tribe is a trustworthy man. And they would also say about a person: How prudent he is, how broad-minded he is and how intelligent he is, whereas in his heart there would not be faith even to the weight of a mustard seed. I have passed through a time in which I did not care with whom amongst you I entered into a transaction, for if he were a Muslim his faith would compel him to discharge his obligations to me and it he were a Christian or a Jew, the ruler would compel him to discharge his obligations to me. But today I would not enter into a transaction with you except so and so. (Using translation from Muslim 143a)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no prophet but that he warned his nation about the False Messiah, and I will tell you something that you should know: he is one-eyed, but your Lord is not one-eyed, and there is a letter written between his eyes: disbeliever, which every believer can read, whether he be literate or illiterate."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There has not been a prophet except that he warned his nation about the False Messiah, and I am warning you about him. Verily, he will appear among you."
No one asked Messenger of Allah ﷺ more about Dajjil than I asked him. He said: He should not be a source of worry to you for he would not be able to do any harm to you. I said: Messenger of Allah, it is alleged that he would have along with him (abundance of) food and water. Thereupon he said: He would be very insignificant in the eye of Allah (even) with all this. (Using translation from Muslim 2939a)
We were walking with Messenger of Allah ﷺ that Ibn Sayyad happened to pass by him. Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: I have concealed for you (something to test you, so tell me that). He said: It is Dukh. Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: Be off. You cannot get farther than your rank, whereupon 'Umar said: Messenger of Allah, permit me to strike his neck. Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Leave him; if he is that one (Dajjal) whom you apprehend, you will not be able to kill him. (Using translation from Muslim 2924b)
Do you bear testimony to the fact that I am the Messenger of Allah? Thereupon he said: Do you bear testimony to the fact that I am the messenger of Allah? Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I affirm my faith in Allah and in His Angels and in His Books, and what do you see? He said: I see the throne over water. Whereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: You see the throne of Iblis upon the water, and what else do you see? He said: I see two truthfuls and a liar or two liars and one truthful. Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Leave him He has been confounded. (Using translation from Muslim 2925)

[Machine] He informed him that Umar set off with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a group led by Ibn Sayyad until they found him playing with the boys at the Uthum of Bani Maghala. Ibn Sayyad approached him on that day feeling important until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ struck him on the back with his hand. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked Ibn Sayyad, "Do you testify that I am the Messenger of Allah?" Ibn Sayyad said, "I testify that you are the Messenger of Allah." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ shook him and said, "I believe in Allah and His Messenger." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked him, "What do you see?" Ibn Sayyad said, "A truthful and a liar come to me." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "The matter is confused for you." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "I have hidden something for you." Ibn Sayyad said, "It is the Dukh." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Be doomed, as you will never exceed your limit." Umar ibn al-Khattab said to him, "Leave it, O Messenger of Allah, let me strike his neck." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "If you catch him, you will not be able to dominate him, and if you do not catch him, there will be no good for you in killing him."
