ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الدَّالِّ عَلَى أَنَّ الدَّجَّالَ لَا يَفْتَتِنُ بِهِ كُلُّ النَّاسِ، وَلَا يُزِيلُ الْإِمَامَةَ عَمَّنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ إِلَى نُزُولِ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ

What will be your state when the son of Mary descends amongst you and there will be an Imam amongst you? (Using translation from Muslim 155d)  

ابن حبّان:٦٨٠٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ نَافِعَ بْنَ أَبِي نَافِعٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي قَتَادَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «كَيْفَ أَنْتُمْ إِذَا نَزَلَ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ فِيكُمْ وَإِمَامُكُمْ مِنْكُمْ»

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What will be your state when ˹Jesus˺ the son of Mary descends amongst you and there will be an Imām (leader) amongst you?"  

مسلم:١٥٥d – حَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ مَوْلَى أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «كَيْفَ أَنْتُمْ إِذَا نَزَلَ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ فِيكُمْ وَإِمَامُكُمْ مِنْكُمْ؟»

مسلم:١٥٥e – وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ مَوْلَى أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «كَيْفَ أَنْتُمْ إِذَا نَزَلَ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ فِيكُمْ وَأَمَّكُمْ؟»  

The Mahdī will lead the ummah as one

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What would you do when ˹Jesus˺ the son of Mary would descend amongst you and would lead you as one amongst you?" Ibn Abū Dhiʾb on the authority of Abū Hurayrah narrated: "Your Imām (leader) amongst you."

Ibn Abū Dhiʾb said: Do you know what the words: "He would lead as one amongst you" mean? I said: Explain these to me. He said: He would lead you according to the Book of your Lord ﷻ and the Sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ.  

مسلم:١٥٥f – وَحَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ: قَالَ «كَيْفَ أَنْتُمْ إِذَا نَزَلَ فِيكُمُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ فَأَمَّكُمْ مِنْكُمْ۔» فَقُلْتُ لاِبْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ إِنَّ الأَوْزَاعِيَّ حَدَّثَنَا عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ: «وَإِمَامُكُمْ مِنْكُمْ۔»

قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ تَدْرِي «مَا أَمَّكُمْ مِنْكُم؟»، قُلْتُ: تُخْبِرُنِي۔ قَالَ: فَأَمَّكُمْ بِكِتَابِ رَبِّكُمْ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى وَسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكُمْ ﷺ۔

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What state will you be in when ˹Jesus˺ the son of Mary descends amongst you and leads you." or said, "and your Imām (leader) is among you?"  

أحمد:٧٦٨٠ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «كَيْفَ بِكُمْ إِذَا نَزَلَ بِكُمُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ فَأَمَّكُمْ؟» أَوْ قَالَ «إِمَامُكُمْ مِنْكُمْ؟»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "How will it be for you when Jesus, the son of Mary, descends among you and your leader is from amongst you?"
