That the Prophet ﷺ had said to her, "ʿAbdullah is a pious man."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَهَا إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ

(Similarly--as no. 452 above.)

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah said, 'I am to my slave as he thinks of Me, (i.e. I am able to do for him what he thinks I can do for him). (See Hadith No. 502)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ قَالَ اللَّهُ أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي

An Amir or a person pronounced taslim twice. 'Abdullah said: Where did he get this sunnah?

عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَنَّى عَلِقَهَا

This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of 'Abdullah b. Harith with a slight variation of wording.

وَلَمْ يَقُلْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

I live in the thought of My servant as he thinks of Me and with him as he calls Me.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي وَأَنَا مَعَهُ إِذَا دَعَانِي

The Prophet ﷺ said: There is no ghoul.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ غُولَ

The Prophet ﷺ said to him: My sonny. Abu Dawud said: I heard Yahya b. Ma'in praising the transmitter Muhammad b. Mahbub, and he said: He transmitted a large number of traditions.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُ يَا بُنَىَّ

"Indeed Allah Most High says: 'I am as My slave thinks of Me, and I am with him when He calls upon Me.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي فِيَّ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ إِذَا دَعَانِي

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Allahumma sqina (O Allah, give us rain)."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا

"Water is for Water." [1] [1] That is, water for peforming Ghusl is obligatory when the ejaculation of water (semen) occurs. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 199)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْمَاءُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ»

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ , Allah, the Most Blessed and Exalted, said: "I am as my servant thinks of me. So let him think of me as he wishes."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي فَلْيَظُنَّ بِي مَا شَاءَ

"The murderer will not inherit." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2109)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْخَالُ وَارِثٌ»

[AI] "About Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah"

عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

[AI] The translation is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ , indeed Abdullah, indeed Abdullah."

رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ

[AI] "Salim, the father of Abdullah, told me."

حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمٌ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ

عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ

[AI] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has said, 'I am as My servant thinks of Me.'"

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ اللهُ ﷻ أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , Allah ﷻ said, "I am as My servant thinks I am, and I am with him when he remembers Me."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ اللهُ ﷻ أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي وَأَنَا مَعَهُ حَيْثُ يَذْكُرُنِي

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) said: "I am as My servant thinks I am, and I am with him when he remembers Me."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ قَالَ اللهُ ﷻ أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي وَأَنَا مَعَهُ حِينَ يَذْكُرُنِي

“Labbaika bi-‘Umratin wa hajjatin [Here I am (O Allah), for ‘Umrah and Hajj].” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2969)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَبَّيْكَ بعُمْرَةٍ وَحَجَّةٍ مَعًا

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said to him, 'O my son.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُ يَا بُنَيَّ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللهُ أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي وَأَنَا مَعَهُ إِذَا دَعَانِي

“War is deceit.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2833)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْحَرْبُ خُدْعَةٌ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "O you with the two ears."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُ يَا ذَا الْأُذُنَيْنِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللهُ أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي وَأَنَا مَعَهُ إِذَا دَعَانِي

Life grant is for one upon whom it is bestowed. (Using translation from Muslim 1625f)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْعُمْرَى لِمَنْ وُهِبَتْ لَهُ

The Prophet ﷺ as saying: Life tenancy is permissible. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3548)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْعُمْرَى جَائِزَةٌ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no contagion, no superstition, and no evil omen."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا صَفَرَ وَلَا هَامَةَ

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said, 'No marriage is valid without the presence of a guardian.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا نِكَاحَ إِلَّا بِوَلِيٍّ

[AI] From the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ who said, "Modesty is entirely good."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْحَيَاءُ خَيْرٌ كُلُّهُ

The Prophet ﷺ as saying: Life tenancy is permissible. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3548)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْعُمْرَى جَائِزَةٌ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, so he mentioned the same.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Moses, son of Imran, is the chosen one of Allah."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مُوسَى بْنُ عِمْرَانَ صَفِيُّ اللَّهِ»

[AI] "O father of Abdullah"

يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

[AI] "Khabbab ibn al-Aratt is also known as Abu Abdullah."

«خَبَّابُ بْنُ الْأَرَتِّ يُكَنَّى أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ»

[AI] And it is said "Abu Abdullah."

وَيُقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying about Allah, the Majestic and Exalted, "I am as My servant thinks of Me, so let him think of Me however he wishes."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ عَنِ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَعَلَا قَالَ «أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي فَلْيَظُنَّ بِي مَا شَاءَ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not prefer some prophets to others." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6916)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تُخَيِّرُوا بَيْنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ»

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said to her, "Indeed, Abdullah bin Umar is a righteous man."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَهَا «إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ»

[AI] "Al-Zubair used to be nicknamed Abu Abdullah."

«كَانَ الزُّبَيْرُ يُكَنَّى أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا ضَرَرَ وَلَا ضِرَارَ»

[AI] That the Prophet ﷺ said, "There should be no harm inflicted or reciprocated."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا ضَرَرَ وَلَا ضِرَارَ»

[AI] "And it is said, his name is Abu Abdullah and he belongs to a lineage."

وَيُقَالُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ نِسْبَتُهُ

[AI] "And it is said: Abu Abdullah, his lineage."

وَيُقَالُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ نِسْبَتُهُ

The Prophet ﷺ as saying: Life tenancy is permissible. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3548)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْعُمْرَى جَائِزَةٌ»

from the Prophet ﷺ: "For whomever I am his Mawla then 'Ali is his Mawla." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3713)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ كُنْتُ وَلِيَّهُ فَعَلِيٌّ وَلِيُّهُ»
