3. Book of Purification (10/12)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever hears the call to prayer and does not respond without excuse, Allah will not accept their prayer in any other way." It was asked, "What is considered an excuse?" He replied, "Sickness or fear." And among them.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no prayer for the neighbor of the mosque except in the mosque." This narration has been authenticated and reported by Abu Musa from his father, who heard the call to prayer but did not respond to the hadith.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever hears the call and is free and in good health, yet does not respond, his prayer will not be accepted." Sahih.
[Machine] "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'There are no three individuals in a village or desert where the prayer is not established except that Satan has seized control over them. So, stick to the congregation.'"
"0 Messenger of Allah ﷺ, there are many (dangerous) pests and wild animals in Al-Madinah." He said: "Can you hear (the words) 'Come prayer, come to prosperity'?" He said "Yes." He said: "Then be quick to respond," and he did not grant him a dispensation. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 851)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ faced the people in the prayer of Isha and said, "I had intended to go to those who neglect this prayer and burn their houses upon them." Then, Ibn Umm Maktum stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, you know that I am blind and I have no guide." He asked, "Can you hear the call to prayer?" He replied, "Yes." He said, "Then come to it." He said, "O Messenger of Allah, there is a date palm tree and a tree between me and it, and I have no guide." He asked, "Can you hear the call to prayer?" He replied, "Yes." He said, "Then come to it." And he was not given permission, and there is another witness from the narration of Asim bin Bahdala.
Ibn Umm Maktum asked the Prophet ﷺ saying: Messenger of Allah, I am a blind man, my house is far away (from the mosque), and I have a guide who does not follow me. Is it possible that permission be granted to me for saying prayer in my house? He asked: Do you hear summons (adhan)? He said: Yes. He said: I do not find any permission for you. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 552)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the Fajr prayer and then asked, "Is so-and-so present?" For a group of hypocrites who did not attend the prayer. Then he said, "Indeed, these two prayers are the heaviest prayers on the hypocrites. If they knew the reward that these prayers contain, they would have come to them, even if they had to crawl." He means the Isha prayer and the Fajr prayer.
[Machine] About Ubayy ibn Ka'b, "As for the story of Al-Thawri..."
[Machine] "Ubayy ibn Ka'b, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, prayed with us one morning along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When he finished his prayer, he said, 'I witnessed so and so.' Then he mentioned the hadith of Abu Al-Ahwas."
[Machine] Ubayy ibn Ka'b performed the Fajr prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , then he mentioned the narration: "They disagreed in the narration on Abu Ishaq from four aspects, and the narration about it from Abu Basir and his son Abdullah is all correct, and the evidence for it is the narration of Khalid ibn al-Harith." Shu'bah narrated this from Abu Ishaq, and Mu'adh ibn Mu'adh al-Anbari and Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated from Shu'bah: "As for the narration of Khalid ibn al-Harith..."

[Machine] Abu Ishaq heard it from him and from his father, from Ubay ibn Ka'b, who said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the Fajr prayer and mentioned the hadith of Yahya ibn Sa'id."
[Machine] "Abu Ishaq, I heard from him and from his father, from Ubayy who said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the morning prayer.' And he mentioned the narration, 'The scholars of hadith, Yahya ibn Ma'in, Ali ibn Al-Madini, Muhammad ibn Yahya Al-Zuhri, and others have ruled the authenticity of this hadith.' I heard Abu Al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub saying, 'I heard Abbas ibn Muhammad Al-Dawri saying, 'I heard Yahya ibn Ma'in saying, 'The hadith of Abu Ishaq from Abu Basir from Ubayy ibn Ka'b is mentioned by Zuhayr ibn Mu'awiya and Shu'bah narrated it from Abu Ishaq from Abdullah ibn Abu Basir and from his father from Ubayy ibn Ka'b. The statement is Shu'bah's and it is more reliable than Zuhayr's.'"
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ prayed the morning prayer and then said, 'I bear witness to so-and-so.' Abu Ishaq reported this from a sheikh whom he had never heard anything else from, except for this hadith. And that sheikh was Abdullah bin Abi Basir. Shu'bah also reported from Abu Ishaq that he heard it from his father, and Abu Ishaq heard it from Al-Aizar bin Hurayth who said, 'I only consider a hadith authentic.' And I heard Abu Bakr bin Ishaq, the jurist, saying, 'I heard Ibrahim bin Ishaq Al-Harbi saying, "I heard Ali bin Al-Madini saying that Abu Ishaq heard from Abdullah bin Abi Basir and his father Abi Basir." Abu Bakr bin Ishaq said, "I heard Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Madini saying, 'I heard Muhammad bin Yahya saying that the narration of Yahya bin Sa'id and Khalid bin Al-Harith from Shu'bah and the saying of Abu Al-Ahwas from Abu Ishaq, from Al-Aizar bin Hurayth are all preserved.' The validity of these narrations has been confirmed by the statements of Hadith scholars. As for the two sheikhs, they did not present any opposition to this.'"

"I saw the Prophet when he had completed his seven (circuits of Tawaf); he came to the edge of the Mataf and prayed two Rakahs, with nothing in between him and people who were circumambulating." (Daif) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2959)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to pray, and a sheep passed in front of him, so he moved it towards qibla until his belly stuck to qibla.
The Messenger of Allah said: "Cats do not invalidate the prayer, because they are one of the things that are useful in the house." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 369)
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say during one of his prayers, "O Allah, hold me accountable with an easy reckoning." When he finished, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is an easy reckoning?" He replied, "It is when one's book is examined, and Allah overlooks some of it for him. Verily, whoever is questioned on the Day of Judgement, O Aisha, will be destroyed. For every affliction that befalls the believer, Allah will expiate his sins, even to the extent that a thorn pricks him."
"Umm Sulaim came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, teach me some words that I may supplicate with during my prayer.' He said: 'Glorify Allah (by saying SubhanAllah) ten times, and praise Him (by saying Alhamdulilah) ten times, and magnify Him (by saying Allahu Akbar) ten times, then ask Him for what you need; He will say: 'Yes, yes.' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1299)
[Machine] He saw Abu Barza al-Aslami praying while holding the reins of his horse. When he went into the bowing position, the reins slipped from his hand and the horse ran off. Abu Barza fell onto his back and did not turn around until he caught the horse and took hold of it. Then he continued walking as he was and came to the place where he had prayed. He completed his prayer and then said, "I have accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in many battles, even counting the number of expeditions. I have seen his leniency and ease, so I followed that. If I had left my horse until it reached the desert and then walked slowly like an old man, stumbling in darkness, it would have been more difficult for me."
The Prophet ﷺ said: Kill the two black things during prayer, the snake and scorpion. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 921)
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to turn to his right and left when praying, but he did not twist his neck to look behind him." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1201)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you are in prayer, do not spit in front of you nor to your right, but spit towards your left if it is empty or under your feet." And he indicated with his foot as if he were directing it towards his foot. "This saying is from Abu Al-Abbas's Hadith."
'Abdullah b. Shakhkhir narrated it on the authority of his father that he said prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he spat and then rubbed it off with his left shoe. (Using translation from Muslim 554b)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to like to hold the prayer beads in his hand. One day, he entered the mosque with one of them in his hand and saw some debris in the direction of the mosque's Qibla. He cleaned them until they were removed, then he turned to the people angrily and said, "Would any of you like to be faced by a man who spits in his face? When one of you stands up for prayer, he faces his Lord and the angels are on his right, so he should not spit in front of him, nor to his right. Rather, he should spit under his left foot or to his left. If he needs to spit urgently, then he should cover it with a part of his clothing." Some narrations reported some parts to others.
[Machine] "He used to lead his people in prayer, and one time he came and the prayer had already been established. He said, "Let one of you lead the prayer, for I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'When the prayer starts and the call of nature also starts, begin with the call of nature.'"
[Machine] About him, they said, "He has gone to Makkah." So they followed him and found him in Ta'if. They followed him again and found him in the hill called Al-Waht. Ibn Dailami said, "I went to him and found him walking, lecturing to a man from Quraysh, and Quraysh measure with alcohol (drink). So I met him and greeted him, and he greeted me back. Then he asked me, 'What brings you here today, and where are you coming from?' I informed him, and then I asked him, 'O Abdullah ibn Amr, have you heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'No man from my Ummah drinks alcohol and attains forty mornings of accepted prayers'?"

“We find (mention of) the prayer of the resident and the prayer in a state of fear in the Qur’an, but we do not find any mention of the prayer of the traveler. ‘Abdullah said to him: “Allah sent Muhammad ﷺ to us, and we did not know anything, rather we do what we saw Muhammad ﷺ doing.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1066)
