الدارمي:٤٤٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ

«انْظُرُوا عَمَّنْ تَأْخُذُونَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فَإِنَّهُ دِينُكُمْ»

Be careful where you get your religion from

muslim:i018 – Ḥasan b. al-Rabīʿ > Ḥammād b. Zayd > Ayyūb And Hishām > Muḥammad > Fuḍayl > Hishām > Makhlad b. Ḥusayn > Hishām > Muḥammad b. Sīrīn

‘Indeed this knowledge is faith, so carefully consider from whom you take your faith’.  

مسلم:i٠١٨ – حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ وَهِشَامٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَحَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلٌ عَنْ هِشَامٍ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ

إِنَّ هَذَا الْعِلْمَ دِينٌ فَانْظُرُوا عَمَّنْ تَأْخُذُونَ دِينَكُمْ  

darimi:399 – And Qāl

[Machine] Muhammad said, "Look carefully at the source from whom you take this hadith, for it represents your religion."  

الدارمي:٣٩٩ – قَالَ

وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ «انْظُرُوا عَمَّنْ تَأْخُذُونَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ دِينُكُمْ»
