that he heard Ibn ʿAbbas saying, "If a man makes his wife unlawful for him, it does not mean that she is divorced." He added, "Indeed in the Messenger of Allah , you have a good example to follow."
وَقَالَ {لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ}
I heard Ibn ʿUmar saying, "The Prophet ﷺ arrived at Mecca and performed Tawaf of the Kaʿba and then offered a two-rakʿat prayer and then performed Tawaf between Safa and Marwa." Ibn ʿUmar then recited (the verse): "Verily! In Messenger of Allah ﷺ you have a good example. "
قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَكَّةَ فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَعَى بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ثُمَّ تَلاَ {لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ}
If someone says to his wife, "You are unlawful to me." he must make an expiation (for his oath). Ibn ʿAbbas added: There is for you in Messenger of Allah ﷺ, an excellent example to follow.
وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ {لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ إِسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ}
Verily, there is in the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a model pattern for you.
أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي الْحَرَامِ يَمِينٌ يُكَفِّرُهَا وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ { لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ}
"The Messenger of Allah came and circumambulated the House seven times, then he prayed two Rakahs behind the Maqam and performed Sai between As-Safa and Al-Marwah, and he said: 'Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have a good example to follow."
يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ سَبْعًا وَصَلَّى خَلْفَ الْمَقَامِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَطَافَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَقَالَ { لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ }
"For the one who makes unlawful is the swearing." (Sahih)And Ibn 'Abbas used to say: "You had the best example in the Messenger of Allah." (33:21)
ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فِي الْحَرَامِ يَمِينٌ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ
"The Messenger of Allah came and circumambulated the House seven times, then he prayed two Rakahs behind the Maqam and performed Sai between As-Safa and Al-Marwah, and he said: 'Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have a good example to follow." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2960)
قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ سَبْعًا فَصَلَّى خَلْفَ الْمَقَامِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَسَعَى بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ثُمَّ قَالَ {لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ} [الأحزاب 21]

أَمَّا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَدِمَ فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ طَافَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ثُمَّ تَلَا {لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ} [الأحزاب 21]
[AI] Ibn Abbas, indeed there is for you in the Messenger of Allah a good example, and then he recited, "And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice."
ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ ثُمَّ تَلَا {وفديناهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍ}
