The Prophet ﷺ said, "A woman entered the (Hell) Fire because of a cat which she had tied, neither giving it food nor setting it free to eat from the vermin of the earth. "

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ دَخَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا وَلَمْ تَدَعْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خِشَاشِ الأَرْضِ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "A woman was punished because of a cat which she imprisoned until it died, so because of it she entered Hellfire. She neither fed it nor gave it water when she confined it, nor did she let it eat from the small creatures of the earth."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «عُذِّبَتِ امْرَأَةٌ فِي هِرَّةٍ سَجَنَتْهَا حَتَّى مَاتَتْ، فَدَخَلَتْ فِيهَا النَّارَ؛ لاَ هِيَ أَطْعَمَتْهَا وَلاَ سَقَتْهَا إِذْ حَبَسَتْهَا، وَلاَ هِيَ تَرَكَتْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الأَرْضِ».

A woman was punished because she had kept a cat tied until it died, and (as a punishment of this offence) she was thrown into the Hell. She had not provided it with food, or drink, and had not freed her so that she could eat the vermin of the earth.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ عُذِّبَتِ امْرَأَةٌ فِي هِرَّةٍ سَجَنَتْهَا حَتَّى مَاتَتْ فَدَخَلَتْ فِيهَا النَّارَ لاَ هِيَ أَطْعَمَتْهَا وَسَقَتْهَا إِذْ حَبَسَتْهَا وَلاَ هِيَ تَرَكَتْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الأَرْضِ

A woman was punished because of a cat. She had neither provided her with food nor drink, nor set her free so that she might eat the vermin of the earth.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ عُذِّبَتِ امْرَأَةٌ فِي هِرَّةٍ لَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا وَلَمْ تَسْقِهَا وَلَمْ تَتْرُكْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الأَرْضِ

A woman was tormented because of a cat which she had confined until it died and she had to get into Hell. She did not allow it either to eat or drink as it was confined, nor did she free it so that it might eat the vermin of the earth.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ عُذِّبَتِ امْرَأَةٌ فِي هِرَّةٍ سَجَنَتْهَا حَتَّى مَاتَتْ فَدَخَلَتْ فِيهَا النَّارَ لاَ هِيَ أَطْعَمَتْهَا وَسَقَتْهَا إِذْ هِيَ حَبَسَتْهَا وَلاَ هِيَ تَرَكَتْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الأَرْضِ

A woman was tormented because of a cat which she had tied and thus allowed it neither to eat or drink nor set it free so that it might eat the vermin of the earth.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عُذِّبَتِ امْرَأَةٌ فِي هِرَّةٍ أَوْثَقَتْهَا فَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا وَلَمْ تَسْقِهَا وَلَمْ تَدَعْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الأَرْضِ

A woman got into Hell-Fire because of a cat whom she had tied, and thus it could not eat, and she did not let it free so that it could devour the vermin of the earth, until it died.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ أَحَادِيثَ مِنْهَا وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ دَخَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ مِنْ جَرَّاءِ هِرَّةٍ لَهَا أَوْ هِرٍّ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلاَ هِيَ أَطْعَمَتْهَا وَلاَ هِيَ أَرْسَلَتْهَا تُرَمِّمُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الأَرْضِ حَتَّى مَاتَتْ هَزْلاً

“A woman entered Hell because of a cat which she tied up and did not feed, or let it loose to eat of the vermin of the earth, until it died.”

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ دَخَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلاَ هِيَ أَطْعَمَتْهَا وَلاَ هِيَ أَرْسَلَتْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الأَرْضِ حَتَّى مَاتَتْ قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ لِئَلاَّ يَتَّكِلَ رَجُلٌ وَلاَ يَيْأَسَ رَجُلٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman entered the Hellfire because of a cat. It was said to her, 'Did you not feed it or give it water? And did you not let it eat from the scraps of the earth?

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ دَخَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ فِي هِرَّةٍ فَقِيلَ لَا أَنْتِ أَطْعَمْتِيهَا وَسَقَيْتِيهَا وَلَا أَنْتِ أَرْسَلْتِيهَا فَتَأْكُلَ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا وَلَمْ تَسْقِهَا وَلَمْ تُرْسِلْهَا فَتَأْكُلَمِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ

“A woman entered Hell because of a cat which she tied up and did not feed, or let it loose to eat of the vermin of the earth, until it died.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4256)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ دَخَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَا هِيَ أَطْعَمَتْهَا وَلَا هِيَ أَرْسَلَتْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ حَتَّى مَاتَتْ قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ ذَلِكَ أَنْ لَا يَتَّكِلَ رَجُلٌ وَلَا يَيْأَسَ رَجُلٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, a woman was punished for her cruelty towards a cat. She held it captive until it died of hunger, neither feeding it nor allowing it to eat from the insects of the earth. And Allah forgave a man who removed a thorny branch from the path."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ امْرَأَةً عُذِّبَتْ فِي هِرَّةٍ أَمْسَكَتْهَا حَتَّى مَاتَتْ مِنَ الْجُوعِ لَمْ تَكُنْ تُطْعِمُهَا وَلَمْ تُرْسِلْهَا فَتَأْكُلَ مِنْ حَشَرَاتِ الْأَرْضِ وَغُفِرَ لِرَجُلٍ نَحَّى غُصْنَ شَوْكٍ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ

A woman got into Hell-Fire because of a cat whom she had tied, and thus it could not eat, and she did not let it free so that it could devour the vermin of the earth, until it died. (Using translation from Muslim 2619)

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَتِ النَّارَ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ جَرَّاءِ هِرَّةٍ لَهَا أَوْ هِرٍّ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَا هِيَ أَطْعَمَتْهَا وَلَا هِيَ أَرْسَلَتْهَا تُرَمِّمُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ حَتَّى مَاتَتْ هَزْلًا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman was punished for imprisoning a cat and not feeding it or letting it eat from the insects of the earth."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عُذِّبَتْ امْرَأَةٌ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا وَلَمْ تُرْسِلْهَا فَتَأْكُلَ مِنْ حَشَرَاتِ الْأَرْضِ

[AI] On the authority of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , he said, "A woman entered the Fire (Hell) because of a cat that she tied up and did not allow it to eat from the insects of the earth."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَال دَخَلَتِ النَّارَ امْرَأَةٌ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَمْ تَدَعْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ

[AI] I heard Abu Al-Qasim ﷺ saying: "A woman entered the hellfire because of a cat that she tied up, did not feed, did not give water, and did not let it go to eat from the insects of the earth."

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ يَقُولُ دَخَلَتْ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ فِي هِرٍّ أَوْ هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا وَلَمْ تَسْقِهَا وَلَمْ تُرْسِلْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ

[AI] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman was tied up a cat, neither feeding her nor letting her eat from the vermin of the earth, so she was thrown into the Fire."

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَبَطَتْ امْرَأَةٌ هِرًّا أَوْ هِرَّةًفَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا وَلَمْ تَتْرُكْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ فَأُدْخِلَتِ النَّارَ

“A woman entered Hell because of a cat which she tied up and did not feed, or let it loose to eat of the vermin of the earth, until it died.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4256)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَتْ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ فِي هِرٍّ أَوْ هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَا هِيَ أَطْعَمَتْهَا وَلَا هِيَ أَرْسَلَتْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ حَتَّى مَاتَتْ فِي رِبَاطِهَا هَزْلًا

[AI] "On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , a woman entered the fire because of a cat that she tied up and did not allow to eat or drink until it died."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً دَخَلَتِ النَّارَ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَمْ تَدَعْهَا تُصِيبُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ وَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا وَلَمْ تَسْقِهَا حَتَّى مَاتَتْ

[AI] "It has been reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'A woman was punished in Hell because she tied up a cat and did not feed it or let it go to eat from the insects of the earth. Consequently, she was destined for the punishment of Hellfire.'"

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ عُذِّبَتْ امْرَأَةٌ فِي هِرٍّ أَوْ هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهُ حَتَّى مَاتَ وَلَمْ تُرْسِلْهُ فَيَأْكُلَ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ فَوَجَبَتْ لَهَا النَّارُ بِذَلِكَ

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said: 'A woman was punished in Hell because she tied up a cat and did not feed it or allow it to eat from the earth's vegetation.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «عُذِّبَتِ امْرَأَةٌ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا وَلَمْ تَدَعْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ»

“A woman entered Hell because of a cat which she tied up and did not feed, or let it loose to eat of the vermin of the earth, until it died.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4256)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «دَخَلْتِ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَا هِيَ أَطْعَمَتْهَا وَلَا هِيَ أَرْسَلَتْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ حَتَّى مَاتَتْ»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ عذبت امرأة في هِرَّة أمسكتها حتى ماتت من الجوع لم تطعمها ولم ترسلها فتأكل من خشاش الأرض وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رُوِيَ عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة من طرق

عَنِ النَّبِيّ ﷺ قال دخلت امرأة النَّارَ فِي هِرَّةٍ أَوْثَقَتْهَا فَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا وَلَمْ تتركها تأكل من خشاش الأرض

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ أحسبه رفعه قال عذبت امراة في هرة أوثقتها لم تطعمها ولم تسقها ولم تدعها تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الأَرْضِ وَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عن عاصم عن أبي صالح عن أبي هريرة إلا إسرائيل

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ دخلت امرأة النار في هرة ربطتها فلم تطعمها ولم تسقها ولم تدعها تأكل من خشاش الأرض

[AI] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman entered the Fire because of a cat that she had tied up and did not feed, nor did she let it eat from the vermin of the earth until it died."

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ مِنْ جَرَّاءِ هِرَّةٍ لَهَا رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَا هِيَ أَطْعَمَتْهَا وَلَا هِيَ أَرْسَلَتْهَا تُقَمِّمُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ حَتَّى مَاتَتْ هَزْلًا

"دَخَلَتِ امْرَأةٌ النَّارَ فِى هِرَّة رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَم تُطعِمْهَا وَلَمْ تَدَعْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الأَرْضِ حَتَّى مَاتَت".
