[Machine] Ali came to the Prophet ﷺ from Yemen, and the Prophet ﷺ asked him, "How did you perform the pilgrimage?" Ali replied, "I performed it in the manner that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "If I did not have the sacrificial animal with me, I would have performed it."  

البيهقي:٨٨٥٢ – أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَحْمُودٍ السَّعْدِيُّ بِمَرْوَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ ثنا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ سَمِعْتُ مَرْوَانَ الْأَصْفَرَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ عَلِيًّا ؓ قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ بِمَ أَهْلَلْتَ؟ فَقَالَ أَهْلَلْتُ بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْلَا أَنَّ مَعِيَ الْهَدْيَ لَأَهْلَلْتُ  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالِ وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ الشَّاعِرِ كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ وَفِيهِ وَفِي حَدِيثِ جَابِرٍ جَعَلَ الْعِلَّةَ فِي امْتِنَاعِهِ مِنَ التَّحَلُّلِ كَوْنَ الْهَدْيِ مَعَهُ وَالْقَارِنُ لَا يَحِلُّ مِنْ إِحْرَامِهِ حَتَّى يَحِلَّ مِنْهُمَا جَمِيعًا سَوَاءٌ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ أَوْ لَمْ يَكُنْ وَدَلَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَى خَطَأِ تِلْكَ اللَّفْظَةِ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ
