ʿAli came to the Prophet ﷺ from Yemen (to Mecca). The Prophet ﷺ asked ʿAli, "With what intention have you assumed Ihram?" ʿAli replied, "I have assumed Ihram with the same intention as that of the Prophet." The Prophet ﷺ said, "If I had not the Hadi with me I would have finished the Ihram." Muhammad bin Bakr narrated extra from Ibn Juraij, "The Prophet ﷺ said to ʿAli, "With what intention have you assumed the Ihram, O ʿAli?" He replied, "With the same (intention) as that of the Prophet." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Have a Hadi and keep your Ihram as it is."

قَدِمَ عَلِيٌّ ؓ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ فَقَالَ بِمَا أَهْلَلْتَ قَالَ بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَوْلاَ أَنَّ مَعِي الْهَدْىَ لأَحْلَلْتُ وَزَادَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِمَا أَهْلَلْتَ يَا عَلِيُّ قَالَ بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ قَالَ فَأَهْدِ وَامْكُثْ حَرَامًا كَمَا أَنْتَ

With (what intention) have you put on Ihram? He said: I have put on Ibram in accordance with the intention with which Allah's Apostle ﷺ has put on Ibram, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Had there not been the sacrificial animals with me, I would have put off Ihram (after performing 'Umra).

لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِمَ أَهْلَلْتَ فَقَالَ أَهْلَلْتُ بِإِهْلاَلِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْلاَ أَنَّ مَعِيَ الْهَدْىَ لأَحْلَلْتُ

"When Ali returned to the Messenger of Allah from Yemen he said: 'For what did you intended the Talbiyah?' He replied: 'I intended the Talbiyah for what the Messenger of Allah announced it.' So he (pbuh) said: 'If I did not have the Hadi with me then I would exit Ihram.'"

أَنَّ عَلِيًّا قَدِمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ فَقَالَ بِمَ أَهْلَلْتَ قَالَ أَهْلَلْتُ بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْلاَ أَنَّ مَعِي هَدْيًا لأَحْلَلْتُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ asked, "With what did you perform the Hajj?" The man replied, "I performed Hajj with what the Messenger of Allah performed it with." The Prophet ﷺ said, "If it were not for the fact that I have a sacrificial animal with me, I would have performed Tawaf."

لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِمَ أَهْلَلْتَ؟ قَالَ أَهْلَلْتُ بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ نَبِيُّ اللهِ قَالَ فَإِنِّي لَوْلَا أَنَّ مَعِي الْهَدْيَ لَأَحْلَلْتُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "What did you use to determine the beginning of the month?" He replied, "I determined it based on the sighting of the crescent that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to determine it with." The Prophet ﷺ said, "If I did not have the sacrificial animal with me, I would have started the month."

لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «بِمَ أَهْلَلْتَ؟ » قَالَ أَهْلَلْتُ بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «فَإِنِّي لَوْلَا أَنَّ مَعِيَ الْهَدْيَ لَحَلَلْتُ»

[AI] Ali came to the Prophet ﷺ from Yemen, and the Prophet ﷺ asked him, "How did you perform the pilgrimage?" Ali replied, "I performed it in the manner that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "If I did not have the sacrificial animal with me, I would have performed it."

أَنَّ عَلِيًّا ؓ قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ بِمَ أَهْلَلْتَ؟ فَقَالَ أَهْلَلْتُ بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْلَا أَنَّ مَعِيَ الْهَدْيَ لَأَهْلَلْتُ
