I do not know whether the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would recite the Qur'an at the noon and afternoon prayer or not.  

أبو داود:٨٠٩ – حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا حُصَيْنٌ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

لاَ أَدْرِي أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ أَمْ لاَ  

tabarani:12700 – ʿUbayd b. Ghannām > Abū Bakr b. Abū Shaybah > Wakīʿ > Sufyān > Salamah b. Kuhayl > al-Ḥasan al-ʿUranī > Ibn ʿAbbās
