Abu Hurayra heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Bad omens. The best of that is the good omen. They asked, "What is the good omen?" "A good word which one of you hears," he replied.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ لاَ طِيَرَةَ وَخَيْرُهَا الْفَأْلُ قَالُوا وَمَا الْفَأْلُ؟ قَالَ كَلِمَةٌ صَالِحَةٌ يَسْمَعُهَا أَحَدُكُمْ

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "There is no Tiyara, and the best omen is the Fal." They asked, "What is the Fal?" He said, "A good word that one of you hears (and takes as a good omen).

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لاَ طِيَرَةَ وَخَيْرُهَا الْفَأْلُ قَالُوا وَمَا الْفَأْلُ قَالَ الْكَلِمَةُ الصَّالِحَةُ يَسْمَعُهَا أَحَدُكُمْ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no Tiyara and the best omen is the Fal," Somebody said, "What is the Fal, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" He said, "A good word that one of you hears (and takes as a good omen).

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لاَ طِيَرَةَ وَخَيْرُهَا الْفَأْلُ قَالَ وَمَا الْفَأْلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ الْكَلِمَةُ الصَّالِحَةُ يَسْمَعُهَا أَحَدُكُمْ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "No 'Adwa nor Tiyara; but I like Fal." They said, "What is the Fal?" He said, "A good word."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَأْلُ قَالُوا وَمَا الْفَأْلُ قَالَ كَلِمَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: There is no divination but the best type is the good omen. It was said to Messenger of Allah ﷺ: What is good omen? Thereupon he said: A good word which one of you hears.

There is no transitive disease, no divination, but good omen pleases me. It was said: What is good omen? He said: Sacred words.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَأْلُ قَالَ قِيلَ وَمَا الْفَأْلُ قَالَ الْكَلِمَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There is no 'Adwa and no Tiyarah, and I like Fa'l." They said: "O Messenger of Allah! What is Fa'l?" He said: "A good statement."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ وَأُحِبُّ الْفَأْلَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الْفَأْلُ قَالَ الْكَلِمَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no superstitious belief, and I am pleased with good and righteous omens." He said, "The good omen is the good and pure word."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا طِيَرَةَ وَيُعْجِبُنِيالْفَأْلُ قَالَ وَالْفَأْلُ الْكَلِمَةُ الْحَسَنَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no contagion, no owl, and I am pleased with good omens." They asked, "O Prophet of Allah, what are good omens?" He replied, "Good words."

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَأْلُ قَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ مَا الْفَأْلُ؟ قَالَ الْكَلِمَةُ الْحَسَنَةُ

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "There is no contagion, nor is there a bad omen." He said, "But I am amazed by good omens, so I asked, what is a good omen?" He replied, "A good word."

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ قَالَ وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَأْلُ فَقُلْتُ مَا الْفَأْلُ؟ قَالَ الْكَلِمَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ

There is no transitive disease, no divination, but good omen pleases me, i. e. the good word or a good word. Note: The majority of scholars interpret this to mean that these things in and of themselves do not transmit or cause harm through supernatural or hidden means but that Allah is ultimately in control and any fearful superstition around these is false. قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَا عَدْوَى ولاَ طِيَرَةَ وَيُعْجِبُنِي الفأل قيل يارسول اللَّهِ وَمَا الْفَأْلُ؟ قَالَ الْكَلِمَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ

أَن رَسولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لا عدوى ولاَ طير ويعجبني الفأل قيل يارسول اللَّهِ وَمَا الْفَأْلُ؟ قَالَ الْكَلِمَةُ الْحَسَنَةُ

"لا طِيرَة وَخَيرُهَا الفأل، قِيلَ: يَا رسُولَ اللهِ: وَمَا الفألُ؟ قَال: الكلِمَةُ الصَّالِحَةُ يَسْمَعُهَا أحَدُكُمْ".
