[Machine] "Do you know why I accompanied you on this walk?"

I replied, "No."

He then said, "So that our footsteps may increase in walking towards prayer."

And Al-Sarri bin Yahya did not lift it."  

الطبراني:٤٧٩٦ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا السَّرِيُّ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ؓ قَالَ كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ فَقَارَبَ فِي الْخُطَى فَقَالَ

«أَتَدْرِي لِمَ مَشَيْتُ بِكَ هَذِهِ الْمِشْيَةَ؟» فَقُلْتُ لَا فَقَالَ «لِتَكْثُرَ خُطَانَا فِي الْمَشْيِ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ» وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ السَّرِيُّ بْنُ يَحْيَى

[Machine] "Do you know why I walked with you this walk?" I said no. He said, "I was walking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he shortened his steps and said, 'Do you know why I walked with you this walk?' I said no. He said, 'To increase our steps in walking towards prayer.'"

أَتَدْرِي لِمَ مَشَيْتُ بِكَ هَذِهِ الْمِشْيَةَ؟ قُلْتُ لَا قَالَ كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَارَبَ بَيْنَ الْخُطَى فَقَالَ «أَتَدْرِي لِمَ مَشَيْتُ بِكَ هَذِهِ الْمِشْيَةَ؟» قُلْتُ لَا قَالَ «لِتَكْثُرَ خُطَانَا فِي الْمَشْيِ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ»
