that Umm Al-Fadl bint Al-Harith heard him reciting "By those sent forth in succession" and she said, "O my son, you reminded me of your recitation of this Surah, for it is the last thing I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reciting in the Maghrib prayer."

الطبراني:٢١٥٧٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ أنا مَالِكٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَسْمَاءَ ثنا جُوَيْرِيَةُ بْنُ أَسْمَاءَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ أُمَّ الْفَضْلِ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقْرَأُ وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا فَقَالَتْ يَا بُنَيَّ لَقَدْ ذَكَّرْتَنِي بِقِرَاءَتِكَ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ أَنَّهَا «آخِرُ مَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ بِهَا فِي الْمَغْرِبِ»

bukhari:763 – ʿAbdullāh b. Yūsuf > Mālik > Ibn Shihāb > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUtbah > Ibn ʿAbbās

that Umm al-Fadl heard him while he was reciting, "By those sent forth in succession," and she said, "My dear son, by Allah, you have reminded me, by your recitation of this surah, that it was the last thing I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, reciting it in Maghrib."

البخاري:٧٦٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ أَنَّهُ قَالَ
