قَيْسُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ

tabarani:16085 – ʿAlī b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz > Ḥajjāj b. al-Minhāl > Ḥammād b. Salamah > Abū ʿImrān al-Jawnī > Qays b. Zayd

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , divorced Hafsah, then her uncles Qudamah and Uthman ibn Mazh'un came to her. She said: "By Allah, he did not divorce me due to any deficiencies in my food." Then the Prophet, ﷺ , came and entered, and she covered herself. The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "Jibril came to me and said, 'Return to Hafsah, for she observes fasts and stands in prayer at night, and she will be your wife in Paradise.'"  

الطبراني:١٦٠٨٥ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ طَلَّقَ حَفْصَةَ تَطْلِيقَةً فَأَتَاهَا خَالَاهَا قُدَامَةُ وَعُثْمَانُ ابْنَا مَظْعُونٍ فَقَالَتْ وَاللهِ مَا طَلَّقَنِي عَنْ شِبَعٍ فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَدَخَلَ فَتَجَلْبَبَتْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَقَالَ «رَاجِعْ حَفْصَةَ فَإِنَّهَا صَوَّامَةٌ قَوَّامَةٌ وَإِنَّهَا زَوْجَتُكَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ»

Then the Prophet ﷺ came and said, "Gabriel ﷺ informed me to go back to Hafsa, as she observes fasting and upholds prayers, and she is your wife in Paradise." Adh-Dhahabi remained silent about this incident in his summary.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ طَلَّقَ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتَ عُمَرَ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا خَالَاهَا قُدَامَةُ وَعُثْمَانُ ابْنَا مَظْعُونٍ فَبَكَتْ وَقَالَتْ وَاللَّهِ مَا طَلَّقَنِي عَنْ شِبَعٍ وَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ قَالَ لِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ رَاجِعْ حَفْصَةَ فَإِنَّهَا صَوَّامَةٌ قَوَّامَةٌ وَإِنَّهَا زَوْجَتُكَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص
