أَبُو نَهِيكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

It is part of the Sunnah that when a man sits down, he should take off his sandals and place them at his side. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4138)  

الطبراني:١٢٩١٧ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَابَانَ الْجُنْدِيسَابُورِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ الْبَلْخِيُّ ثنا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ هَارُونَ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي نَهِيكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ «§مِنَ السُّنَّةِ إِذَا جَلَسَ الرَّجُلُ

أَنْ يَخْلَعَ نَعْلَيْهِ فَيَضَعَهُمَا بِجَنْبِهِ»
