Ibn 'Abbas said, "Part of the sunna is that when a man sits down, he removes his sandals and puts them at his side."
مِنَ السُّنَّةِ إِذَا جَلَسَ الرَّجُلُ أَنْ يَخْلَعَ نَعْلَيْهِ فَيَضَعُهُمَا إِلَى جَنْبِهِ
It is part of the Sunnah that when a man sits down, he should take off his sandals and place them at his side.
أَنْ يَخْلَعَ نَعْلَيْهِ فَيَضَعَهُمَا بِجَنْبِهِ
