A woman should not set out on three (days') journey, but in the company of a Mahram. (Using translation from Muslim 827f)

[Machine] He narrated to us a Hadith that I heard from the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ . He said, "Yes, I came to the Prophet, ﷺ , and he said, 'O 'Adi ibn Hatim, embrace Islam, and you will be safe.'" I asked, "What is Islam?" He said, "Testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and testify that I am the Messenger of Allah, and believe in predestination, both its good and its evil, its sweetness and its bitterness."

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ in a similar context, he said: "A woman has indeed traveled from Yemen to Al-Hira, fearing only Allah."
[Machine] "To me, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When Ramadan comes, fast for thirty days unless you see the new moon before that.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught me prayer and fasting, and he said, "Pray like this and pray like that, and fast like this. When the sun sets, eat and drink until the white thread becomes distinct from the black thread of dawn, and fast for thirty days unless you see the crescent moon before that." So I took two threads, one black and one white from my hair, and I used to look at them but could not distinguish between them. So I mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he laughed and said, "O son of Hatim, that is just the whiteness of the day contrasting with the darkness of the night."
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have memorized everything you have instructed me except for the white thread from the black thread. I had two threads with me last night, one white and one black. I looked at this one and then at this one." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled and said, "The white thread is from the black thread that is in the horizon of the sky."
[Machine] "When this verse was revealed: 'until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct from the black thread [of night],' I took a black thread and a white thread and placed them under my pillow. Then I looked but I could not distinguish between them, so I mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he laughed and said, 'Your pillow must be very wide and long. This refers to the night and the day.'"
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do you think of His saying, 'The white thread (of dawn) is distinguishable from the black thread (of night).' Are they both threads?" So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled and said, "No, rather it is the whiteness of the day and the blackness of the night."
I said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! What is the meaning of the white thread distinct from the black thread? Are these two threads?" He said, "You are not intelligent if you watch the two threads." He then added, "No, it is the darkness of the night and the whiteness of the day.'' (Using translation from Bukhārī 4510)
[Machine] "When this verse was revealed {Eat and drink until the white thread becomes distinct to you from the black thread of dawn}, I took two headbands, one black and the other white, and put them under my pillow. I raised them at night but could not determine the white from the black. So, I mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, 'O son of Hatim, if that is the case, then your pillow is too wide. Indeed, what Allah meant is to eat and drink until the whiteness of day becomes distinct from the darkness of night.'"
[Machine] When this verse was revealed, I took two ropes, one of them black and the other white, and placed them under my pillow. I raised them in the night but I could not distinguish the white from the black. I mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he said, "O son of Hatim, if your pillow had been truly wide, you would have been able to distinguish the white from the black. Allah only meant that you should eat and drink until the whiteness of the day can be distinguished from the darkness of the night."
[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ sent him as a truthful one to his people, and when he took their charity, it coincided with the death of the Prophet ﷺ .

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Confusion came to me as if I saw the fangs of dogs and indeed, you will open it (the confusion)." So a man stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, give me the daughter of Buqaylah." He said, "She is yours, so give her to him." So her brother came and said, "Will you sell her?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Then set the price as you wish." He said, "For one thousand dirhams." He said, "I have already taken her for one thousand." They said, "If you had said thirty thousand, he would have agreed." He said, "Is there any amount greater than one thousand?"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "There is no one among you except that Allah will speak to him without a translator between them. He will look to his right and will only see what he has prepared of his deeds. He will look to his left and will only see what he has prepared of his deeds. He will look in front of him and will only see the Fire in front of his face. So guard yourselves against the Fire, even if it is with half a date."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is not one of you except that Allah will speak to him, with no interpreter between them. He will look to his right and see only his own actions, then he will look to his left and see only his own actions, then he will look ahead and see the Fire. So whoever among you can protect his face from the Fire, even if it is by giving half a date as charity."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every one of you will be spoken to by Allah on the Day of Resurrection with no interpreter between him and Allah. He will look to his right and will not see anything but what he has done (in the world). Then he will look to his left and will not see anything but what he has done. Then he will look in front of him and will see the Fire. So, whoever can save himself from the Fire, even if it is with half a date (given in charity), let him do so."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no one among you except that Allah will speak to him on the Day of Resurrection, and there will be no translator between them. He will look to his right and will see nothing but what he has sent forth, then he will look in front of him and he will see Hellfire." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "So whoever among you can protect his face from the Hellfire, let him do so even with half a date."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and said, "Fear the Fire even if it is with half a date, and if you cannot find that, then with a good word." Jarir, Fudayl bin 'Iyad, Asbat bin Muhammad, and Abu Mu'awiya all narrated this hadith from Al-Amash and Khaythama Amr bin Murrah.

[Machine] "Fear the Fire, even if it is with half a date, and if you cannot find that, then with a good word."
Protect yourselves against Fire even if with half a date. But if you fail to find it (then protect yourselves against Fire) with the help of a pleasant word). (Using translation from Muslim 1016d)
[Machine] I did not enter upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except that he made space for me or he said, "Move for me." So I entered upon him one day while he was in a house filled with his companions. When he saw me, he made space for me until I sat beside him.
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, we are a people of hunting. What do you think about the game that is killed by our dogs?" He said, "Whatever your dog has caught, eat from it." Then I asked him about dogs, so he said, "If you send your dogs and they catch something, eat from it except if another dog enters it."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The right hand of a person is what lies between his two cheeks."
[Machine] Abu Junadah narrated that he resided in the Banu Salul tribe. Al-A'mash narrated from Khaythamah ibn Abdul Rahman who narrated from Adi ibn Hatim, who said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On the Day of Resurrection, a group of people will be commanded to enter Paradise, and as they approach it and smell its fragrance and see its palaces, and what Allah has prepared for its inhabitants, they will be turned away from it with no share in it. So they will return with regret, just as the earlier ones did not return in the same way. They will say, 'Our Lord, if only You had admitted us to the Fire before showing us what reward You have prepared for Your allies, it would have been easier for us.' He will say, 'That is what I intended for you when you were by yourselves, so that when you met people you would meet them as weak ones, and when you met Me, you would meet Me alone. But you abandoned the people and left them, and they left you, so today I will cause you to taste a painful punishment because of what you used to forbid yourself from among the rewards."

[Machine] I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he returned from Badr. A man from the Ansar said, "Did we only encounter feeble old women like the fortified castles, whom we slaughtered?" The face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ changed until I saw him as if he had chewed on pomegranate seeds. Then he said, "O son of my brother, do not say that. They are the leaders of Quraysh. If you had seen them in their gatherings in Makkah, you would have burned them." By Allah, I went to Makkah and saw them sitting in the Mosque. I could not even greet them due to their awe-inspiring presence. I remembered the saying of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "O people, love Quraysh, for whoever loves Quraysh has loved me, and whoever hates Quraysh has hated me. And indeed, Allah has made my people beloved to me, so I do not hasten to punish them, nor do I give them too much favor. O Allah, indeed You inflicted upon the first Quraysh their punishment. So, inflict upon the last of them their retribution, except that Allah knew what was in my heart of my love for my people, so He made me kind towards them." Allah says, "And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers." It means, my people. So all praise is due to Allah, who made Abu Bakr from my people, and the martyr from my people, and the Imams from my people. Indeed, Allah has turned the backs of the servants to the stomachs, and the best of the Arabs are Quraysh, and they are the tree that Allah says, "A good word is like a good tree." It means, Quraysh. "Whose root is firmly fixed" means, their nobility. "And its branches [high] in the sky." It means, the honor that Allah honored them with through Islam, which guided them to it and made them its people. Then Allah revealed a Surah in their honor in the Book of Allah, which is decisive, "For the accustomed security of the Quraysh - Their accustomed security [in] the caravan of winter and summer - Let them worship the Lord of this House, Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger and made them safe, [saving them] from fear."

[Machine] I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he returned from the Battle of Badr. A man from the Ansar said, "Have we only fought old women like the fortified castles of Harz, whom we slaughtered?" The face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ changed, and I saw him twitching his mouth as if he had bitten a pomegranate seed. Then he said, "O son of my brother, do not say that. Those are the elite leaders of the Quraysh. If you had seen them in their gatherings in Makkah, you would have been amazed by their dignity and nobility." By Allah, I came to Makkah and saw them sitting in the mosque. I could not bring myself to greet them due to their awe. I remembered the saying of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "O people, love the Quraysh, for whoever loves the Quraysh has loved me, and whoever hates the Quraysh has hated me. Allah has made my people dear to me, so I do not hasten to punish them or deprive them of blessings. O Allah, You have made the Quraysh taste the first retribution, so make them taste the final retribution as well, except that Allah knows what is in my heart of love for my people, so He has made me merciful towards them." Allah says, "And warn your closest kindred. And lower your wing to the believers who follow you." This refers to my people. Praise be to Allah, who made Abu Bakr from my people, and the martyr from my people, and the Imams from my people. Indeed, Allah has reversed the backs of His servants towards their stomachs, so the best Arab tribe is the Quraysh, who are the tree mentioned by Allah as a good word and a good tree." This means the Quraysh, "Its root is firmly established" means their nobility, "while its branches reach to the sky" means the honor that Allah honored them with through Islam, which guided them to it and made them its people. Then He revealed a Surah about them in the Book of Allah, which is firm, "For the accustomed security of the Quraysh, their accustomed security [in] the winter and summer journeys, let them worship the Lord of this House, Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger and made them safe, [saving them] from fear."

[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ with a gold cross on my neck. He said, "O 'Adi, take off this idol from your neck." He read this verse, "They took their scholars and monks as lords besides Allah" until he finished it. I said, "We do not worship them." He will say, 'Didn't I give you wealth?' and Allah will say, 'Yes.' Then he will say, 'Wasn't I sent to you as a Messenger?' and Allah will say, 'Yes.' Then he will look to his right and will not see anything but the Fire, then he will look to his left and will not see anything but the Fire. So let each of you protect himself from the Fire, even if with only half a date."
