[Machine] We asked Alqamah how was Abdullah's recitation at night and whether he would sleep with him. He said, "He would listen to the family of Uthbah while they were in a room in front of him."
[Machine] We praised him and asked him, "How did Abdullah used to recite?" He said, "He used to listen to the family of Utbah while they were in a room in front of him."
[Machine] "He used to perform Tahajjud (night prayer) when there was still time left in the night, just as he used to perform the Maghrib prayer before the nightfall."
[Machine] He listens to those around him without raising his voice until he has only a little of his glass left, just like the time between the call to prayer for sunset and the completion of it, then he performs the Witr prayer.
[Machine] Abdullah used to perform the Sunnah prayer after returning from the Maghrib prayer when a portion of the night remained.
[Machine] "The Witr is the prayer between the two regular prayers."
[Machine] Abdullah: "Al-Witr is the prayer between the two obligatory prayers."
[Machine] Abdullah said, "Al-Witr is the prayer that is performed between Isha prayer and Fajr prayer."
[Machine] "The period between the two prayers is considered to be a voluntary prayer, and specifically the period between the Isha (Night) prayer and the Fajr (Dawn) prayer."
[Machine] "The Witr is the prayer performed between the two prayers."
[Machine] I bear witness that Abdullah ibn Mas'ood, indeed I heard him calling out with it as a call: "Witr is the prayer that is between the two prayers, the last prayer of the night which you call Al Atamah, and the prayer of Fajr, when do you pray Witr, it is good."
[Machine] Ibn Mas'ood used to perform the night prayer after Fajr, and my father used to perform the night prayer before Fajr.
[Machine] That the Fajr prayer was established while I was performing the Witr prayer.
[Machine] "To be rewarded for the Fajr prayer, while I am still in my bed and have not yet performed it."
[Machine] "O Abu Abdurrahman, is there a prayer after the adhan (call to prayer)?" He said, "Yes, and after the iqama (call to commence prayer)."
[Machine] "That Abdullah used to perform the voluntary prayers of night (Tahajjud) in sets of three."
[Machine] "Abdullah used to perform the voluntary night prayer in sets of three, and then he would end with one additional unit."
[Machine] Ibn Mas'ud said: "The night prayer is like the day prayer, (meaning they both hold equal importance and reward) and the Maghrib prayer should be performed three times (meaning one should perform three units of prayer for Maghrib)."
[Machine] "The Witr prayer is three, like the Witr of the daytime prayer."
[Machine] "Witr is three units of prayer, similar to the prayer of Maghrib."
[Machine] Abdullah replied, "Yes, but three are better." Saad then said, "I can't add anything more to it." This made Abdullah angry, and Saad said, "Are you angry with me for praying one additional unit of prayer while you inherit three grandmothers? Won't you also leave a share for Hawwa, the wife of Adam?" Yahya informed me about this from Thawri.
[Machine] "Samara Abdullah bin Mas'ud and Hudhayfah bin al-Yaman were sitting with Walid bin 'Uqbah bin Abi Mu'ayt, then they left and started talking until they saw the dawn breaking. So each of them performed a rak'ah of witr prayer."
[Machine] Abdullah used to recite "Qul Huwallahu Ahad" in the last Rak'ah of Witr, then he would raise his hands and make supplication before the Rak'ah.
[Machine] Ibnu Mas'ud used to observe voluntary night prayers throughout the year.
[Machine] From more than one companion of Abdullah, it was narrated that Ibn Mas'ood used to say, "If one of you prays Witr and then falls asleep, and then he wakes up, he should nullify his Witr and pray another Rak'ah, and then pray Witr afterwards."
[Machine] Ibn Mas'ud used to not perform the Fajr prayer attentively.
[Machine] Ibn Mas'ood used to not be diligent in the dawn prayer.
[Machine] Abdullah used to not pray the Fajr prayer regularly, but when he did, he would pray the Witr prayer before the Rak'ah.
[Machine] Abdullah ibn Mas'ud did not regularly observe the Fajr prayer.
[Machine] He used to offer voluntary prayers before the bowing (rak'ahs) in a prayer, but he did not offer voluntary prayers before the morning prayer.
[Machine] On the day of the Eid prayer, the Fajr prayer was established. Ibn Mas'ood stood behind Sariyah and prayed two units of prayer, then he entered with them.
[Machine] He used to dislike speaking after performing the two units of prayer before dawn.
[Machine] To speak after dawn only with the mention of Allah.
[Machine] "To hear in it someone speaking from the splitting of dawn to the rising of the sun."
[Machine] "Indeed, Ibn Mas'ood used to dislike speaking after performing the two rak'ahs of Fajr prayer."
[Machine] "Abdullah used to perform four units of prayer before midday (Dhuhr), and two units after it, as well as two units after the sunset prayer (Maghrib), and two units after the night prayer (Isha). Additionally, he would perform two units of prayer before dawn (Fajr), and he would not pray before the afternoon prayer (Asr) or after it."
[Machine] The volunteering of Abdullah, who does not miss four before noon, two after it, two after sunset, and two before dawn.
[Machine] Abdullah used to voluntarily pray four before the noon prayer, two after it, two after the sunset prayer, two after the night prayer, and two before the morning prayer.
[Machine] "The prayer of Abdullah was that which he never abandoned; four before noon, two after, two after sunset, two after the evening and two before dawn."
[Machine] He used to say, "When the sun sets, he would stand up and perform four units of prayer, and in them he would recite two surahs from the Mufassal. When the Mu'adhdhin called for prayer, he would tighten his garments and then go out for prayer."
[Machine] "Abdullah said, "There is nothing that can compare to the night prayer in comparison to the daytime prayer except for four units of prayer before noon, and their virtue over the daytime prayer is like the virtue of the congregational prayer over the individual prayer.""
[Machine] "That his father did not used to pray the Duha prayer."
[Machine] I did not come across a paragraph, what would you like assistance with?
