[Machine] I bear witness that Abdullah ibn Mas'ood, indeed I heard him calling out with it as a call: "Witr is the prayer that is between the two prayers, the last prayer of the night which you call Al Atamah, and the prayer of Fajr, when do you pray Witr, it is good."

الطبراني:٩٤١٢ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ثنا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ قَالَ

أَشْهَدُ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ يُنَادِي بِهَا نِدَاءً «الْوِتْرُ مَا بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ الَّتِي تُسَمُّونَ الْعَتَمَةَ وَصَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ مَتَى أَوْتَرْتَ فَحَسَنٌ»
