[Machine] So he came closer to me until he made me sit on his mat, then he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Indeed, parents have a debt upon their child. When it is the Day of Resurrection, they will hold onto him and say, 'I am your child.' So they will wish or desire that they had more (children) than that."
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "Killing in the cause of Allah expiates all sins, or he said everything except for treachery. Treachery is in prayer, fasting, and speaking. The greatest of that is entrusting (something to someone). Shurayk narrated to me from Ayyash Al-Amiri, from Zadhan, from Abdullah, from the Prophet ﷺ in a similar manner."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Verily, Allah has angels on the earth who convey greetings on behalf of my ummah."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, Allah has angels who roam the earth, conveying to me the greetings of my Ummah."
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Allah (SWT) has angels who travel around on Earth conveying to me the Salams of my Ummah.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1282)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me and said, "O Ibn Mas'ood!" I said, "Here I am, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." He repeated it three times and then said, "Do you know which branch of faith is the strongest?" I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "The strongest branch of Islam is love and hatred in it."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , entered upon me and said, "O Ibn Mas'ood!" I said, "Labbaik (at your service), O Messenger of Allah, ﷺ ." He repeated it three times and then asked, "Do you know which garment of faith is the most firm?" I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "The most firm garment of Islam is loyalty and love for its sake, and hatred and animosity for its sake."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me and said, "O Ibn Mas'ud!" I said, "At your service, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ." He repeated it three times and then asked, "Do you know which garment of faith is the firmest?" I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "Indeed, the firmest garment of Islam is loyalty and love for its sake, and enmity for its sake."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Dreams are glad tidings from Allah, and they are part of Prophet-hood, seventy parts of it. Verily, this fire of yours [in the light of the sun] is one of seventy parts of the heat of Hell." And he also said, "Whoever goes to the mosque and waits for the prayer, he is considered to be in prayer as long as he does not commit any impurity. And whoever observes prayer after the prayer, he is considered to be in prayer as long as he does not commit any impurity."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever has an atom's weight of faith in his heart will not enter the Fire, and whoever has an atom's weight of arrogance in his heart will not enter Paradise." A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, I like for my clothes to be clean, my head to be anointed, and my shoes to be new. And he mentioned other things, including the attachment to the whip. Is that considered arrogance, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "No, that is not arrogance. Indeed, Allah ﷻ is beautiful and loves beauty. But arrogance is to reject the truth and look down upon people."
[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ arrived in Medina, he distributed to the tribes and also gave some to Ibn Mas'ud. His companions said to him, "O Messenger of Allah, give him (Ibn Mas'ud) less than us." He replied, "Why did Allah send me then? Indeed, Allah does not bless a nation who do not give the weak among them their rights."
[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ entered Makkah on the day of the conquest and around the Kaaba there were three hundred and sixty idols, so he started piercing them with his staff while saying, 'Truth has come and falsehood has vanished, for falsehood is bound to vanish.'
[Machine] "He heard Abdullah ibn Mas'ud say, 'I did not fast with the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , more than twenty-nine days, which is less than thirty days.'"
that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Anyone who did a wrong or committed a sin and is ashamed of it, then this will be his atonement.”
[Machine] "Indeed, interest, even if it increases, will eventually lead to decreased abundance."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The increase of riba (usury/interest) will only lead to decrease in wealth."
The pious dreams are the seventieth part of Prophecy. (Using translation from Muslim 2265a)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is enough for a person to see a wrong action that he is not able to change, for Allah to know that he disapproves of it."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, a person is born a believer and lives as a believer, but then dies as a disbeliever. And verily, a person is born a disbeliever, lives as a disbeliever, but then dies as a believer. And verily, a person may act happily for a period of time in his life, but then what was written for him catches up with him, and he dies unhappy. And verily, a person may act unhappily for a period of time in his life, but then what was written for him catches up with him, and he dies happy."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah created Yahya (John) the son of Zakariya (Zechariah) as a believer in his mother's womb, and He created Pharaoh as a disbeliever in his mother's womb."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There is no two Muslims except that there is a barrier between them from Allah. So if one of them says to his companion 'Hujr' (meaning boycott or severance), he has violated the barrier. And if one of them says 'O disbeliever', then he has committed disbelief."
[Machine] I greeted the Prophet (PBUH) and he responded with a greeting. I greeted him again, but he did not respond. So, I said, "I greeted you, and you did not respond." He replied, "Indeed, Allah does as He wills in His affairs."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, your companion is the beloved of Allah," referring to himself ﷺ.
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , that he only saw Gabriel in his true form twice. As for the first time, Gabriel asked to show him his own form, so he showed him, and he came to him, covering the horizon. As for the second time, Gabriel was with him when he ascended during the incident of "And then he drew near and came closer until he was as close as two bow lengths or even closer. Then He revealed to His servant what He revealed." So, when Gabriel finished, he returned to his true form, as mentioned in the verse "And certainly, he saw him a second time, near the Lote Tree." The Lote Tree is the furthest point reached by Gabriel; it is in Paradise, close to the Paradise of Abode, as mentioned in the verse "Indeed, he saw him in another descent, by the Lote Tree, beyond which none may pass; near it is the Garden of Refuge." Regarding the statement "He has certainly seen of the greatest signs of his Lord," it means the creation of Gabriel.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Who will guard us tonight?" Abdullah replied, "I will, O Messenger of Allah." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "You sleep." He then repeated, "Who will guard us tonight?" I said, "I will, O Messenger of Allah," repeating it three times. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "So it is you." I kept guard until just before dawn when the words of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ woke me up saying, "You sleep." I fell asleep and we were only awakened by the heat of the sun on our backs. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and performed ablution and the two units of the Fajr prayer. He then led us in the morning prayer, and after finishing, he said, "If Allah intended for you not to sleep, you would not have slept. However, He wanted it so for those who come after you as well." Then the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ camel and the camels of the people scattered. The people went looking for them and brought their camels back except the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ camel. Abdullah said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, 'Take it here.'" So, I took it to where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had told me and found its reins twisted around a tree. By Allah, no one but a hand could have released it. So, I brought it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, by the one who sent you with the truth, I found its reins twisted around a tree and no one could have released it except a hand." The verse was then revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "Indeed, We have given you a clear conquest."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ يَحْرُسُنَا اللَّيْلَةَ؟» قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ فَقُلْتُ أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّكَ تَنَامُ» ثُمَّ أَعَادَ «مَنْ يَحْرُسُنَا اللَّيْلَةَ؟» فَقُلْتُ أَنَا حَتَّى أَعَادَ مِرَارًا ثَلَاثَةً أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «فَأَنْتَ» فَحَرَسْتُهُمْ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ عِنْدَ وَجْهِ الصُّبْحِ أَدْرَكَنِي قَوْلُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّكَ تَنَامُ» فَنِمْتُ فَمَا أَيْقَظَنَا إِلَّا حَرُّ الشَّمْسِ فِي ظُهُورِنَا فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَنَعَ كَمَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ مِنَ الْوُضُوءِ وَرَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى بِنَا الصُّبْحَ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ لَوْ أَرَادَ أَنْ لَا تَنَامُوا عَنْهَا لَمْ تَنَامُوا وَلَكِنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَوْ قَالَ يَكُونُ لِمَنْ بَعْدِكُمْ فَهَكَذَا لِمَنْ نَامَ أَوْ نَسِيَ» ثُمَّ إِنَّ نَاقَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَإِبِلَ الْقَوْمِ تَفَرَّقَتْ فَخَرَجَ النَّاسُ فِي طَلَبِهَا فَجَاءُوا بِإِبِلِهِمْ إِلَّا نَاقَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «خُذْ هَا هُنَا» فَأَخَذْتُ حَيْثُ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَوَجَدْتُ زِمَامَهَا قَدِ الْتَوَى عَلَى شَجَرَةٍ وَاللهِ مَا كَانَتْ تَحُلُّهَا إِلَّا يَدٌ قَالَ فَجِئْتُ بِهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولُ اللهِ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَقَدْ وَجَدْتُ زِمَامَهَا مُلْتَوِيَةً عَلَى شَجَرَةٍ مَا كَانَتْ لِتَحُلَّهَا إِلَّا يَدٌ قَالَ وَنَزَلَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ {إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُبِينًا}
[Machine] I heard Abdullah bin Mas'ood say, "The family of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ have arrived from Hudaybiyah, so we set up camp for the night and slept on the bare ground. The Prophet ﷺ asked, 'Who will stand guard for us?' Bilal replied, 'I will.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Then go to sleep.' So they slept until sunrise. Some of them woke up, including so-and-so, and Umar, but the Prophet ﷺ did not wake up. He said, 'Descend, for the Prophet ﷺ has awakened.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Do as you were doing.' When they did, he said, 'This is how it should be for anyone who falls asleep or forgets.'"
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ spent the night with us and did not wake up for the Fajr prayer until the sun had risen."
[Machine] "Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ that whenever he said, 'Allah listens to the one who praises Him,' he would say, 'O Allah, our Lord, all praise is due to You, filling the heavens and the earth and whatever You will thereafter. Worthy of the best praise and glory are You, with no objection on what You have given, nor does the one given being able to benefit from Your giving.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no faith for him who has no trustworthiness, and there is no religion for him who has no covenant. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the religion of a servant will not be correct until his tongue is correct, and his tongue will not be correct until his heart is correct. And he will not enter Paradise who does not feel secure from his neighbor's harms." It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, what are the harms?" He said, "His cheating and his oppression. And whatever man acquires wealth from unlawful sources and then he spends from it, it will not be blessed for him, and if he gives charity, it will not be accepted from him. And what remains will only increase him in the Fire. Verily, the impure does not remove the impure, but rather the pure removes the impure."
[Machine] Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? He replied, "Like the flowing water, yes."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ passed by his companions one day and said to them, "Do you know what your Lord says?" They replied, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He repeated it three times and then said, "By My majesty and glory, no servant prays it on time except that I will admit him to Paradise, and whoever prays it outside of its prescribed time, whether I will have mercy on him or punish him is up to Me."
[Machine] To whom does the man belong? So I said, he is a man from the people of Basra. He said, "From whom?" I said, "From this neighborhood, from the Saad family." He said, "O Saadi! Let me tell you a hadith that I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Shall I not inform you of a people who have abundant wealth? Their abundance of wealth does not distract them. Or he said, 'does not prevent them from being good.' He said, 'Who are they?' I said, 'They are from this neighborhood, from the Saad family, from the people of the desert.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Indeed, the Saad family has a great share with Allah.' Ask O Saadi! So I said, 'Abu Abdullah, does the Hour have any knowledge by which it is known?' And he was leaning against something and then he sat up, so he said, 'O Saadi! You asked me as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked me. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah! Does the Hour have any knowledge by which it is known?' So he said to me, 'O Ibn Mas'ud! Indeed, the Hour has signs and it has indicated. Indeed, from the signs of the Hour and its indications are that the child will become insolent, the rain will become burning, and the transgressors will abound in number, O Ibn Mas'ud! Indeed, from the signs of the Hour and its indications are that the liar will be believed and the truthful will be called a liar, O Ibn Mas'ud! Indeed, from the signs of the Hour and its indications are that the traitor will be trusted and the trustworthy will be betrayed, O Ibn Mas'ud! Indeed, from the signs of the Hour and its indications are that the dishes will increase and the blood ties will be severed, O Ibn Mas'ud! Indeed, from the signs of the Hour and its indications are that the hypocrites will prevail over their tribes and the wicked will prevail over every market, O Ibn Mas'ud! Indeed, from the signs of the Hour and its indications are that the masjids will be beautified and the hearts will be corrupted, O Ibn Mas'ud! Indeed, from the signs of the Hour and its indications are that the offspring of adultery will increase.' I said, 'Abu Abdullah, and they are Muslims?' He said, 'Yes.' I said, 'Abu Abdullah, and the Qur'an is between their two hands?' He said, 'Yes.' I said, 'Abu Abdullah, how is that?' He said, 'A time will come upon people when the man will divorce his wife and then deny his divorce, and he will establish himself upon her vagina, so they both will be committing adultery as long as they remain like this.'

The spirits are in marshaled hosts; those who know one another will be friendly, and those who do not, will keep apart. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4834)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Don't prevent yourselves from having suhoor (pre-dawn meal) once Bilal calls for the prayer, as he calls for the prayer to make the sleeping ones alert, make the standing ones return, and for Fajr (dawn) to start like this."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever drags his garments out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection." This Isma'il is the son of Abi Khalid and Allah knows best.
[Machine] A man kissed a woman and then went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have done such and such." So Allah revealed the verse, "Establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds remove the evil deeds." The man asked, "Is it for me, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "No, it is for my Ummah (nation)."
[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about a man who performs the ritual purification from impurity (ghusl) but some parts of his body remain dry. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He should wash that place and then pray."
[Machine] "Can I not inform you about those who are forbidden from the Fire?" They replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Everyone who is humble, gentle, close, and easy-going."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "If one of you is invited to a meal, let him accept, and if he is fasting, let him pray for blessings."

[Machine] I debated with the Qadariyyah and they embarrassed me, so I went to Imran ibn al-Husayn al-Khuzai, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and said, "O Abu Nujayd, I debated with the Qadariyyah and they embarrassed me. Do you have any hadith to narrate to me that may benefit me?" He replied, "If I were to narrate a hadith to you, it would be as if I covered your ears and you didn't hear it." So I said, "I only came for that." He said, "If Allah were to punish the people of the heavens and the earth, He would punish them and He is not unjust. And if He were to admit them into His mercy, His mercy would be wider for them than their sins. Then, Allah says, 'He punishes whom He wills and forgives whom He wills.' So whoever is punished, it is the truth, and whoever is shown mercy, it is the truth." Ibn Mas'ud narrated a similar hadith from the Prophet ﷺ , and Abdullah bin Mas'ud recited it with abundant blessings and praises.

[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ and his family were in the tribe, the son of Abbas came to the Prophet's father and said, "O Muhammad, I don't see Um Al-Fadl except that she is pregnant." He said, "Perhaps Allah will bless our eyes with a son from her." So the Prophet ﷺ called for me while I was in my tattered clothes and cradled me. Mujahid said, "We do not know of anyone who was cradled by the sense of prophethood other than him."
