On his father's authority, said that his grandfather 'Abd Allah b. 'Amr reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: The proviso of a loan combined with a sale is not allowable, nor two conditions relating to one transaction, nor profit arising from something which is not in one's charge, nor selling what is not in your possession.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَحِلُّ سَلَفٌ وَبَيْعٌ وَلاَ شَرْطَانِ فِي بَيْعٍ وَلاَ رِبْحُ مَا لَمْ تَضْمَنْ وَلاَ بَيْعُ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ

'Amr bin Shu'aib narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to me from his father' until he mentioned 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'It is not lawful to lend and sell, nor two conditions in a sale, nor to profit from what is not possessed, nor to sell what one does not have.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَحِلُّ سَلَفٌ وَبَيْعٌ وَلاَ شَرْطَانِ فِي بَيْعٍ وَلاَ رِبْحُ مَا لَمْ يُضْمَنْ وَلاَ بَيْعُ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ

that the Messenger of Allah said: "It is not permissible to lend on the condition of a sale, or to have two conditions in one transaction, or to sell what you do not have." (Sahih

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ سَلَفٍ وَبَيْعٍ وَشَرْطَيْنِ فِي بَيْعٍ وَرِبْحِ مَا لَمْ يُضْمَنْ

"My father told me, mar rating from his father, from his father (and he mentioned 'Abdullah bin 'Amr) that he said: "The Messenger of Allah said: "It is not permissible to lend on the condition of a sale, or to stipulate two conditions in one transaction, or to make a profit on that which you do not possess.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَحِلُّ سَلَفٌ وَبَيْعٌ وَلاَ شَرْطَانِ فِي بَيْعٍ وَلاَ رِبْحُ مَا لَمْ يُضْمَنْ

"The Messenger of Allah forbade lending on the condition of a sale, selling what you do not have, and profiting on what you do not possess.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ سَلَفٍ وَبَيْعٍ وَعَنْ شَرْطَيْنِ فِي بَيْعٍ وَاحِدٍ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ وَعَنْ رِبْحِ مَا لَمْ يُضْمَنْ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'It is not permissible to sell something that is not with you, nor to profit from what you do not possess."'

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَحِلُّ بَيْعُ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ وَلاَ رِبْحُ مَا لَمْ يُضْمَنْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا يَحِلُّ سَلَفٌ وَبَيْعٌ وَلَا شَرْطَانِ فِي بَيْعٍ وَلَا رِبْحُ مَا لَمْ يُضْمَنْ وَلَا بَيْعُ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited me from four things in sales: selling something that is not in your possession, selling something that you don't own, making a condition in a sale, and profiting from something without guaranteeing it.

نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ أَرْبَعِ خِصَالٍ فِي الْبَيْعِ عَنْ سَلَفٍ وَبَيْعٍ وَشَرْطَيْنِ فِي بَيْعٍ وَبَيْعِ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ وَرِبْحِ مَا لَمْ تَضْمَنْ

that the Messenger of Allah said: "It is not permissible to lend on the condition of a sale, or to have two conditions in one transaction, or to sell what you do not have." (Sahih (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4611)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بَعَثَ عَتَّابَ بْنَ أَسِيدٍ فَنَهَاهُ عَنْ شَرْطَيْنِ فِي بَيْعٍ وَعَنْ سَلَفٍ وَبَيْعٍ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ وَعَنْ رِبْحِ مَا لَمْ تَضْمَنْ

"The Messenger of Allah forbade lending on the condition of a sale, selling what you do not have, and profiting on what you do not possess. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4631)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ سَلَفٍ وَبَيْعٍ وَعَنْ شَرْطَيْنِ فِي بَيْعٍ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ وَعَنْ رِبْحِ مَا لَمْ يُضْمَنْ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ prohibited the sale of debt and the combination of two sales in one transaction, and the sale of what you do not own. The Prophet ﷺ said, "It is forbidden to sell what is not in your possession."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعٍ وَسَلَفٍ وَعَنْ بَيْعَتَيْنِ فِي صَفْقَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَرَامٌ شَفُّ مَا لَمْ يُضْمَنْ

[AI] That the Prophet prohibited the sale and loan, and he prohibited two sales in one sale, and he prohibited profiting from something that is not guaranteed.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعٍ وَسَلَفٍ وَنَهَى عَنْ بَيْعَتَيْنِ فِي بَيْعَةٍ وَنَهَى عَنْ رِبْحِ مَا لَمْ يُضْمَنْ

"لَا يَحِلُّ سَلَفٌ وَبَيعٌ، وَلَا شَرْطَانِ فِي بَيعٍ، ولَا رِبْحُ مَا لَمْ يُضْمَنْ، وَلَا بَيعُ مَا لَيسَ عِنْدَكَ".
