I heard Jabir b. 'Abd Allah say: I presented bread and meat to the Prophet ﷺ. He ate them and called for ablution water. he performed ablution and offered the noon (Dhuhr) prayer. He then called for the remaining food and ate it. He then got up and prayed and did not perform ablution.
[AI] I heard Jabir ibn Abdullah say that bread and meat were brought close to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Then he called for ablution, so he performed ablution and prayed the Dhuhr prayer. Then he called for the blessings of the food, so he ate. Then he stood up to pray without performing ablution. Then I entered with Umar and a tray was brought to him with bread and meat, and another tray was brought to him with bread and meat. Umar ate, then he stood up to pray without performing ablution.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was invited to eat, and some bread and meat was brought to him. He ate some of it, and then did wudu and prayed. Then more of the same food was brought and he ate some more and then prayed without doing wudu.
