"سَتَكُونُ مِن بعْدِى فَتْنَةٌ، فَإذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ فَالْزَمُوا عَلىَّ بن أَبى طَالِب؛ فَإِنَّهُ أوَّلُ منْ يَرانى، وأوَّلُ مَنْ يُصافِحُنى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، هُو الصِّدِّيقُ الأَكْبرُ وهُو فَارُوقُ هذِهِ الأُمَّةُ يُفَرِّقُ بيْنَ الْحَقِّ والْبَاطِل وهُو يعْسُوبُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ والْمالُ يَعْسُوبُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ".
