سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ مَثَّلَ بِالْحَيَوَانِ
'May Allah curse the one who disfigures and animal. (Sahih )
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ مَثَّلَ بِالْحَيَوَانِ
'Abdullah (b. Umar) reported on the authority of his father that he heard like this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ بِمِثْلِهِ
A hadith like this has been narrated by Abu Huraira by another chain of transmitters.
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ بِمِثْلِهِ
[AI] Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who imitates or mimics animals.
«إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَعَنَ مَنْ مَثَّلَ بِالْحَيَوَانِ»

[AI] I passed with Ibn Umar and Ibn Abbas on a road in Medina, and there were some young men who had set up a chicken to shoot at it. They were all missing the mark. He (Ibn Umar) became angry and said, "Who has done this?" They dispersed, and Ibn Umar said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed those who mutilate animals."
مَرَرْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي طَرِيقٍ مِنْ طُرُقِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَإِذَا فِتْيَةٌ قَدْ نَصَبُوا دَجَاجَةً يَرْمُونَهَا لَهُمْ كُلُّ خَاطِئَةٍ قَالَ فَغَضِبَ وَقَالَ مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا؟ قَالَ فَتَفَرَّقُوا فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ يُمَثِّلُ بِالْحَيَوَانِ
[AI] I passed by a road in Medina with Ibn Umar, and we saw some young men who had set up a chicken to shoot at. All of them were missing (the target). Ibn Umar became angry and said, "Who did this?" There is (at times) some sort of shade upon my heart, and I seek forgiveness from Allah a hundred times a day. (Using translation from Muslim 2702a)
