Ibn 'Abbas reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah curses anyone who misguides a blind person and leads him away from the path."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ كَمَّهَ أَعْمَى عَنِ السَّبِيلِ

"Some of my companions told me that Hisham had said, "When the Mu'adh-dhin said, "Haiyi ʿalassala (come for the prayer)." Muawiya said, "La hawla wala quwata illa billah (There is neither might nor any power except with Allah)" and added, "We heard your Prophet saying the same."

لَمَّا قَالَ حَىَّ عَلَى الصَّلاَةِ قَالَ لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ وَقَالَ هَكَذَا سَمِعْنَا نَبِيَّكُمْ ﷺ يَقُولُ

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went on expedition to Khaybar, or he said, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out, the people came upon a valley and raised their voices with the takbir: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, lā ilāha illā Allāh. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Take it easy on yourselves, for you are not calling upon one who is deaf or absent; you are calling upon One who is Hearing, Near, and He is with you."

I was behind the mount of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he heard me while I was saying, “There is no might and no power except with Allah.” He said to me: "O Abdullah b. Qays." I said, “Labbayk (at your service), Messenger of Allah.” He said: "Shall I not guide you to a phrase from a treasure among the treasures of Jannah?" I said, “Yes, Messenger of Allah; may my father and mother be ransomed for you.” He said:

lā ḥawla wa-lā quwwata illā bi-Allāh

(There is no might and no power except with Allah)

لَمَّا غَزَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَيْبَرَ، أَوْ قَالَ: لَمَّا تَوَجَّهَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ، أَشْرَفَ النَّاسُ عَلَى وَادٍ، فَرَفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّكْبِيرِ: اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «ارْبَعُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِكُمْ؛ إِنَّكُمْ لاَ تَدْعُونَ أَصَمَّ وَلاَ غَائِبًا، إِنَّكُمْ تَدْعُونَ سَمِيعًا قَرِيبًا وَهْوَ مَعَكُمْ».

وَأَنَا خَلْفَ دَابَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ، فَسَمِعَنِي وَأَنَا أَقُولُ: لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ، فَقَالَ لِي: «يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ قَيْسٍ». قُلْتُ: لَبَّيْكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: «أَلاَ أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى كَلِمَةٍ مِنْ كَنْزٍ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ؟» قُلْتُ: بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي، قَالَ:

«لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ».

'Abdullah (b. Umar) reported on the authority of his father that he heard like this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ بِمِثْلِهِ

A hadith like this has been narrated by Abu Huraira by another chain of transmitters.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ بِمِثْلِهِ

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying like this.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ بِمِثْلِهِ

Ibn Umar reported on the authority of his father as Allah's Apostle ﷺ saying so.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ بِمِثْلِهِ

This hadith has been reported on the authority of Ibn Hashim with the same chain of transmitters but with a slight variation of wording.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ وَلاَ يَقُولاَنِ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ

Should I not direct you to the words from the treasures of Paradise, or he said: Like a treasure from the treasures of Paradise? I said: Of course, do that. Thereupon he said:" There is no might and no power but that of Allah."

لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَلاَ أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى كَلِمَةٍ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ أَوْ قَالَ عَلَى كَنْزٍ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ فَقُلْتُ بَلَى فَقَالَ لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ

'May Allah curse the one who disfigures and animal. (Sahih )

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ مَثَّلَ بِالْحَيَوَانِ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade mutilating animals.”

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُمَثَّلَ بِالْبَهَائِمِ

"The Messenger of Allah (saas) said to me: "Shall I not tell you of a treasure which is one of the treasures of Paradise?' I said: 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (There is no power and no strength except with Allah).'" (sahih)

قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَلاَ أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى كَنْزٍ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ قُلْتُ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ

"I passed by the Prophet (saas) and he said to me: 'O Hazim, say often: "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (there is no power and no strength except with Allah)," for it is one of the treasures of Paradise.'"

مَرَرْتُ بِالنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ لِي يَا حَازِمُ أَكْثِرْ مِنْ قَوْلِ لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ

My nephew, leave him for he defended Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Muslim 2487a)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

[AI] Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who imitates or mimics animals.

«إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَعَنَ مَنْ مَثَّلَ بِالْحَيَوَانِ»

[AI] I passed with Ibn Umar and Ibn Abbas on a road in Medina, and there were some young men who had set up a chicken to shoot at it. They were all missing the mark. He (Ibn Umar) became angry and said, "Who has done this?" They dispersed, and Ibn Umar said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed those who mutilate animals."

مَرَرْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي طَرِيقٍ مِنْ طُرُقِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَإِذَا فِتْيَةٌ قَدْ نَصَبُوا دَجَاجَةً يَرْمُونَهَا لَهُمْ كُلُّ خَاطِئَةٍ قَالَ فَغَضِبَ وَقَالَ مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا؟ قَالَ فَتَفَرَّقُوا فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ يُمَثِّلُ بِالْحَيَوَانِ

[AI] I passed by a road in Medina with Ibn Umar, and we saw some young men who had set up a chicken to shoot at. All of them were missing (the target). Ibn Umar became angry and said, "Who did this?" The young men then dispersed. Ibn Umar said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed those who use animals as targets."

مَرَرْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ في طَرِيقٍ مِنْ طُرُقِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَإِذَا فِتْيَةٌ قَدْ نَصَبُوا دَجَاجَةً يَرْمُونَهَا لَهُمْ كُلُّ خَاطِئَةٍ قَالَ فَغَضِبَ وَقَالَ مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا؟ قَالَ فَتَفَرَّقُوا فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ يُمَثِّلُ بِالْحَيَوَانِ

[AI] "Regarding the Prophet ﷺ , Allah has cursed those who imitate animals."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لَعَنَ اللهُ مَنْ يُمَثِّلُ بِالْحَيَوَانِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ أَكْثِرُوا مِنْ قَوْلِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ فَإِنَّهَا كَنْزٌ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

A similar report was narrated from 'Aishah from the Messenger of Allah. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4929)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

[AI] I heard ʿAbdullāh ibn al-Zubayr while he was leaning against the Kaʿbah, saying: “By the Lord of this Kaʿbah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ certainly cursed so-and-so, and those born from his loins.”

سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ وَهُوَ مُسْتَنِدٌ إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ وَرَبِّ هَذِهِ الْكَعْبَةِ لَقَدْ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فُلَانًا وَمَا وُلِدَ مِنْ صُلْبِهِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Allah said: 'Do not take My servants as idols.'"

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ قَالَ اللهُ لَا تُمَثِّلُوا بِعِبَادِي

A similar report was narrated from 'Aishah from the Messenger of Allah. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4929)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَلْفَ مَثَلٍ

[AI] He informed him about the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , similar to him.

أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] He informed him about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ like him.

أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Paradise?" It is "There is no power or strength except with Allah."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى كَنْزٍ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ؟ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ

[AI] About the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "There is no power or strength except with Allah, from the treasures of Jannah (Paradise)."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said: Shall I not guide you to a door from the doors of Paradise? He said: What is it? He said: There is no power or might except with Allah."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى بَابٍ مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ؟ قَالَ وَمَا هُوَ؟ قَالَ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Shall I not guide you to one of the gates of Paradise?" I said, "Indeed, please do." He said, "There is no power or strength except with Allah."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى بَابٍ مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ؟ قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ

My nephew, leave him for he defended Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Muslim 2487a)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed whoever imitates or represents with animals."

مَرَرْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ فِي طَرِيقٍ مِنْ طُرُقِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَإِذَا فِتْيَةٌ قَدْ نَصَبُوا دَجَاجَةً يَرْمُونَهَا قَالَ فَغَضِبَ وَقَالَ «مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا؟» فَتَفَرَّقُوا فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ «لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ يُمَثِّلُ بِالْحَيَوَانِ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "May Allah curse the one who bribes and the one who takes bribes."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الرَّاشِيَ وَالْمُرْتَشِيَ»

The Prophet ﷺ said: He who does not thank the people is not thankful to Allah. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4811)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَشْكُرُ اللهُ مَنْ لَا يَشْكُرُ النَّاسَ»

My nephew, leave him for he defended Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Muslim 2487a)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Paradise? There is no power or strength except by Allah."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى كَنْزٍ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ»

[AI] Narrated by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , he said, "The killing of my companions suffices."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «بِحَسْبِ أَصْحَابِي الْقَتْلُ»

[AI] "Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ : 'May Allah curse whoever insults my companions.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَعَنَ اللهُ مَنْ سَبَّ أَصْحَابِي»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no power or strength except with Allah, it is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ كَنْزٌ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Paradise?" I said, "Yes, please." He said, "There is no power or strength except with Allah."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى كَنْزٍ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ؟» قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ «لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Do not make images of the servants of Allah."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا تُمَثِّلُوا بِعِبَادِ اللهِ

'May Allah curse the one who disfigures and animal. (Sahih ) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4442)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَعَنَ اللهُ مَنْ مَثَّلَ بِالْحَيَوَانِ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no power or strength except by Allah is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ كَنْزٌ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ»

"I passed by the Prophet (saas) and he said to me: 'O Hazim, say often: "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (there is no power and no strength except with Allah)," for it is one of the treasures of Paradise.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3826)

أَنْ أُكْثِرَ مِنْ قَوْلِ «لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ؛ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ»

'May Allah curse the one who disfigures and animal. (Sahih ) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4442)

رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَعَنَ اللهُ مَنْ مَثَّلَ بِالْحَيَوَانِ

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If you see those who abuse my Companions, then say: 'May Allah's curse be upon the worst of you.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3866)

"إِذَا رأيتُمَ الذين يَسُبُّونَ أصحابي فقولُوا: لَعَنَ اللهُ شَرَّكُمْ" .

"I passed by the Prophet (saas) and he said to me: 'O Hazim, say often: "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (there is no power and no strength except with Allah)," for it is one of the treasures of Paradise.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3826)

"أكثرْ من (لا حَوْلَ ولا قُوَّةَ إِلا باللهِ) فإِنَّهَا من كَنْزِ الجَنةِ ".

"أَلا أَدُلُّكِ عَلَى كَنْزٍ مِنْ كُنُوز الجَنَّةِ؟ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا باللَّهِ".

"أَلا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى كَنْز مِنْ كُنُوزِ الجَنَّةِ؟ تُكْثِرُون مِن لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إلا باللَّهِ ".

"أَلا أُعلِّمُكَ يا أَبا أيوب كلمةً من كَنْزِ الجَنَّةِ؟ أكْثِرْ من قول لا حولَ ولَا قوَّةَ إِلا باللَّه ".

"يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ: أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَي كنْزٍ مِنْ كَنْزِ (*) الْجَنَّةِ: لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِالله".
