It was narrated from Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiped over the Khuffs. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 121)  

الكبرى للنسائي:١٢٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ

It was narrated from Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas, from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, with regard to wiping over the Khuffs; "There is nothing wrong with it."  

النسائي:١٢٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ أَنَّهُ لاَ بَأْسَ بِهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَالْخِمَارِ  

ibnmajah:561 – Hishām b. ʿAmmār > ʿĪsá b. Yūnus > al-Aʿmash > al-Ḥakam > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū Laylá > Kaʿb b. ʿUjrah > Bilāl

The Messenger of Allah wiped over his leather socks and his head cover (i.e., over the Imamah).

ahmad:781 – Ibn al-Ashjaʿī from my father > Sufyān > ʿAbdah b. Abū Lubābah > al-Qāsim b. Mukhaymirah > Shurayḥ b. Hāniʾ > Amaranī ʿAlī

‘Ali told me to wipe over the khuff (leather slippers).
