“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Najashi has died.’ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his Companions went out to Al-Baqi’, and we lined up in rows behind him, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went forward, then he said four Takbir.”  

ابن ماجة:١٥٣٤ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَصْحَابُهُ إِلَى الْبَقِيعِ فَصَفَّنَا خَلْفَهُ وَتَقَدَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَكَبَّرَ أَرْبَعَ تَكْبِيرَاتٍ

The Prophet ﷺ informed his companions about the death of An-Najashi and then he went ahead (to lead the prayer) and the people lined up behind him in rows and he said four Takbir.
