every time it was her night for the Messenger of Allah to stay with her, he would go out at the end of the night to Al-Baqi' and say: "As-salamu 'alaykum dara qawmin mu'minin, wa inna wa iyyakum mutawa'idun ghadan wa mutawakilun, wa inna in sha' Allahu bikum lahiqun. Allahummaghfir li ahli baqi'il gharaqad. (Peace be upon you, O abode of believing people. You and we used to remind one another about the Day of Resurrection and we are relying on one another (with regard to intercession and bearing witness). Soon we will join you, if Allah willing. O Allah, forgive the people of Baqi' Al-Charqad.)" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2039)
[Machine] "He used to remind people every Thursday, so a man said, 'I wish you would remind us every day.' He said, 'I only refrain from doing so for fear that I would overwhelm you. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to give us admonitions between the days, fearing that it would be burdensome upon us.'"
[Machine] One day, while Abu Darda was walking alone away from the army, he met two men who were also apart from the army. He said, "O you two, there have never been three people in this place except that they were commanded upon. So one of you should take charge." They replied, "You, O Abu Darda." He said, "No, it is you two. I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'There is no guardian of three except that he will be met by Allah on the Day of Judgment, with his right hand tied to his neck. Either He will loosen his justice or bring his injustice upon him'."
[Machine] For me and for al-Fadl ibn al-Abbas, we went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he commanded us regarding this charity, so we fulfilled what the people fulfill and we obtained what the people obtain of benefits. Ali ibn Abi Talib came while they were in that state and asked them, "What do you want?" So they informed him of what they intended to do. He said, "Do not do it, for by Allah, it is not something that is done." They said, "Why do you do this? This is only a favor from us to you. By Allah, you have accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and married his daughter, and we did not intend this for you." He said, "I am Abu Hassan. Send both of them to me." Then he laid down. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed Dhuhr, we went ahead of him to the chamber and stood by it until he ﷺ passed by us. He took hold of our ears and said, "Take out whatever you have intended," and then he entered. We entered with him and he was then in Zainab bint Jahsh's house. We spoke to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, we have come to you so that you may command us regarding this charity, so that we may obtain what the people obtain of benefits and give you what the people give." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent and raised his head to the ceiling of the house until we wanted to speak to him. Then Zainab gestured to us from behind her curtain as if she was forbidding us from speaking. Then he turned and said, "Indeed, charity is not appropriate for Muhammad or the family of Muhammad. It is only the filth of the people. Pray for me, Mahmiyah ibn Juz', and Abu Sufyan ibn Harith." So we went and he said to Mahmiyah, "Marry your daughter to al-Fadl," and he married her. Then he said to Abu Sufyan, "Marry your daughter to al-Fadl," and he married her. Then he said to Mahmiyah, "Be more truthful for them than the one-fifth."

[Machine] "O Messenger of Allah, I have a need with you." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O mother of so-and-so, choose whichever route you desire and I will accompany you until your need is fulfilled." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ accompanied her and spoke privately to her until her need was fulfilled from the Prophet ﷺ ."

[Machine] To call the Adhan (Islamic call to prayer) and the breast of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be watched by a deer. So, I met a young boy who belonged to Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf and he said, "The breast of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has been taken." I asked, "Who took it?" He replied, "Ghatafan." So, I shouted, "O morning! (A way of attracting attention) and I heard the distance between Medina's Labti (a place outside Medina) and then I hurried until I caught up with the people as they were fetching water. I began throwing arrows at them, and I used to be a skilled archer, and I kept saying...

[Machine] When the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ conquered Khaybar, Al-Hajjaj ibn 'Ilāṭ said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have wealth and family in Mecca and I want to give them something. I am in a state of ihram (ritual consecration). Can I take from you or say something?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him permission to do whatever he wished. Al-Hajjaj then went to his wife when he arrived and said, "Gather for me whatever you have, for I want to buy from the spoils of Muhammad ﷺ and his companions, as they have been permitted (to take the spoils). Their wealth has been affected." This news spread throughout Mecca, causing distress among the Muslims and joy among the polytheists. The news reached Al-Abbas ibn Abdul-Muttalib, who became upset in his gathering and was unable to stand up. Ma'mar reported from Al-Jazari about Muqasim, who said, "Al-Abbas took his son named Qutham, who resembled the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he laid him down on his chest, saying..." (the text continues but is not provided)

I took 'Abdullah b. Abi Talha Ansari to Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the time of his birth. Messenger of Allah ﷺ was at that time wearing a woollen cloak and besmearing the camels with tar. He said: Have you got with you the dates? I said: Yes. He took hold of the dates and put them in his mouth and softened them, then opened the mouth of the infant and put that in it and the child began to lick it. Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The Ansar have a liking for the dates, and he (the Holy Prophet) gave him the name of 'Abdullah. (Using translation from Muslim 2144a)
Anas, see that nothing is given to this child until he is brought to Allah's Apostle ﷺ in the morning, so that he should chew some dates and touch his palate with it. I went to him in the morning and he was in the garden at that time having the mantle of Jauniyya over him and he was bus in cauterising (the camels) which had been brought to him (as spoils of war) in victory (over the enemy). (Using translation from Muslim 2119a)

[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ looking at me in my face with a hanging bucket in our house. Mahmud said, Abu Usamah narrated to me, he said, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, my vision has become weak, and when the rain intensifies, the valley overflows and this hinders me from going to the mosque. If I prayed at home in a designated spot, would it be acceptable?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Yes, it would." So the next day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me with Abu Bakr and they sought permission, so I granted it to them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not sit until he said, "Where would you like me to pray in your house?" So I pointed him to a spot and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ walked ahead and we lined up behind him. He prayed two units of prayer and we confined the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to a small chamber that we made for him.

[Machine] He informed him that he had participated in a military expedition with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before reaching Najd. They were overtaken by a sandstorm in a valley with many thorny bushes, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ camped and the people dispersed, seeking shade in the trees. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ camped under a tree and hung his sword on it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to a man who was with him, "This sword came close to me while I was asleep, and when I woke up, it was in his hand. He said to me, 'Who will prevent you from me?' I said to him, 'Allah.' He said, 'Who will prevent you from me?' I said, 'Allah.'" Then, he dropped the sword and sat down, and he was not punished."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sent him on a mission and his companions asked him to light a fire. He prevented them from doing so, so they spoke to Abu Bakr about it and he spoke to the Prophet ﷺ about the matter. He said, "No one should light a fire except I will cast him into it." They then encountered the enemy and defeated them. They wanted to pursue them, but he prevented them. When the army returned, they mentioned it to the Prophet ﷺ and complained to him about it. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, I disliked giving them permission to light a fire because their enemy would see their small number, and I disliked them pursuing them and having support, so they would turn against them." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ praised his decision and said, "O Messenger of Allah, who do you love the most?" He asked, "Why?" He said, "I love those whom you love." He said, "Aisha." He asked, "Among the men?" He said, "Abu Bakr."

[Machine] Narrated by more than one person who met the delegation, Abu Nadrah mentioned that he heard from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri that when the delegation of Abdul Qais came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , they said, "O Messenger of Allah, we reside among the unbelievers of Mudhar, and we can only be with you during the sacred month. So, give us a task that we can pray for, and by which we can enter Paradise if we accomplish it or do it."
He replied, "I command you to do four things and prohibit you from four. You are to worship Allah and associate none with Him in worship, establish prayer, give zakat, fast in Ramadan, and give one-fifth of the spoils of war. I prohibit you from four things: seeking omens by divining arrows, and offering a sacrifice at the places where the pre-Islamic pagans used to offer sacrifices, and wearing false amulets, and practicing divination by drawing lines in the sand."
They said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is divination by drawing lines?" He said, "You draw lines and throw pebbles, and the animal that those pebbles hit shall be the one you slaughter. Then you pour water over it to make it boil. When it calms down, you drink from it. Perhaps one of you may strike his cousin with a sword."
The Prophet then said that among the people was a man who had struck someone with a sword. The man said that he had been concealing this out of shame before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . They asked, "So what do you command us to drink, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Drink from the water that is being poured on the she-camel having drawn three times on its mouth." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, our land is infested with gerbils, and not a single she-camel remains with us that has anything left to pour on its mouth."
He said, "Even if the gerbils have eaten it, pour the water three times." Then the Prophet ﷺ said to Ashadjj Al-Abdi Al-Qaisi, "Indeed, you possess two qualities that Allah loves: gentleness and leniency."

A man who had no other property emancipated six slaves of his at the time of the death. When the Prophet ﷺ was informed about it, he spoke severely of him. He then called them, divided them into three sections, cast lots among them, and emancipated two and kept four in slavery. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3958)

We were sitting around the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him). Abu Bakr and Umar were also there among the audience. In the meanwhile the Messenger of Allah got up and left us, He delayed in coming back to us, which caused anxiety that he might be attacked by some enemy when we were not with him; so being alarmed we got up. I was the first to be alarmed. I, therefore, went out to look for the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) and came to a garden belonging to the Banu an-Najjar, a section of the Ansar went round it looking for a gate but failed to find one. Seeing a rabi' (i. e. streamlet) flowing into the garden from a well outside, drew myself together, like a fox, and slinked into (the place) where God's Messenger was. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Is it Abu Huraira? I (Abu Huraira) replied: Yes, Messenger of Allah. He (the Holy Prophet) said: What is the matter with you? replied: You were amongst us but got up and went away and delayed for a time, so fearing that you might be attacked by some enemy when we were not with you, we became alarmed. I was the first to be alarmed. So when I came to this garden, I drew myself together as a fox does, and these people are following me. He addressed me as Abu Huraira and gave me his sandals and said: Take away these sandals of mine, and when you meet anyone outside this garden who testifies that there is no god but Allah, being assured of it in his heart, gladden him by announcing that he shall go to Paradise. Now the first one I met was Umar. He asked: What are these sandals, Abu Huraira? I replied: These are the sandals of the Messenger of Allah with which he has sent me to gladden anyone I meet who testifies that there is no god but Allah, being assured of it in his heart, with the announcement that he would go to Paradise. Thereupon 'Umar struck me on the breast and I fell on my back. He then said: Go back, Abu Huraira, So I returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and was about to break into tears. 'Umar followed me closely and there he was behind me. The Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be on him) said: What is the matter with you, Abu Huraira? I said: I happened to meet 'Umar and conveyed to him the message with which you sent me. He struck me on my breast which made me fall down upon my back and ordered me to go back. Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: What prompted you to do this, 'Umar? He said: Messenger of Allah, my mother and father be sacrificed to thee, did you send Abu Huraira with your sandals to gladden anyone he met and who testified that there is no god but Allah, and being assured of it in his heart, with the tidings that he would go to Paradise? He said: Yes. Umar said: Please do it not, for I am afraid that people will trust in it alone; let them go on doing (good) deeds. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Well, let them. [Machine] From Abu Ali Amr ibn Malik al-Janbi, from Fadalah ibn Ubayd, from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said:
"There are three types of people who will not be asked about: a man who separates from the community, disobeys his leader, and dies while in disobedience; a servant or slave who survives his master and then dies; and a woman whose husband is absent and she has been provided for by the world, but she betrays him after he leaves.
And there are three types of people who will not be asked about: a man who argues with Allah regarding His robe, for His robe is pride, and His garment is honor; and a man who doubts the commandments of Allah; and a person who despairs of the mercy of Allah."
[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said, "I command you with three things and forbid you from three things. I command you to worship Allah alone and not associate anything with Him, to hold firmly to the rope of Allah together and not to divide, and to obey the one whom Allah has placed in authority over you. And I forbid you from indulging in gossip, spreading rumors, and excessive questioning, and from wasting wealth."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Listen and obey in both times of ease and hardship, in what pleases you and what displeases you, in what affects you and even if they take your wealth or strike your back, except if it involves disobedience."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allahﷺ delivering his sermon during the Farewell Pilgrimage while riding his young camel, and he was fastening the reins of the saddle. He said, "O people!" A man at the back said, "What do you say? What do you want?" He said, "Do you not hear? Obey your Lord, perform your five daily prayers, pay your Zakat, and obey your leaders. You will enter the Paradise of your Lord." Then I asked my father Umaymah ibn Al-Khamm, "How old were you when you heard this?" He said, "I heard it when I was thirty years old."
