The Prophet was asked about musk and he said: "It is the best of your perfumes." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 992)  

الحاكم:١٣٣٦ – أَخْبَرْنَاهُ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْبَزَّازُ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا حَامِدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ عَنِ الْمُسْتَمِرِّ بْنِ الرَّيَّانِ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْمِسْكِ فَقَالَ «هُوَ أَطْيَبُ طِيبِكُمْ»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ «فَإِنَّ خُلَيْدَ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ وَالْمُسْتَمِرَّ بْنَ رَيَّانَ عِدَادُهُمَا فِي الثِّقَاتِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَا عَنْهُمَا» وَلَهُ شَاهِدٌ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ «وَإِلَيْهِ ذَهَبَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ»
