[Machine] Ali said, "And it is the virtue of Hanoot, the messenger of Allah peace be upon him."  

الحاكم:١٣٣٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرُّوَاسِيُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ كَانَ عِنْدَ عَلِيٍّ مِسْكٌ فَأَوْصَى أَنْ يُحَنَّطَ بِهِ قَالَ

وَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ «وَهُوَ فَضْلُ حَنُوطِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ  

ahmad:20242 – ʿAbd al-Ṣamad And ʿAffān > Ḥammād b. Salamah > al-Ashʿath b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman al-Jarmī from his father > Samurah b. Jundub > a man

This tradition has also been transmitted by Sa'd (b. Abi Waqqas) from the Prophet ﷺ in a similar manner through a different chain of narrators. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1470)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

الطبراني:١٥٥٩١ – حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا غُنْدَرٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ صُبَيْحٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سِيرِينَ ذَكَرُوا عِنْدَ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ «§الْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحَيِّ» فَقَالُوا كَيْفَ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحَيِّ؟ فَقَالَ
